One last chance for Madrid... but it is absolutely wasted by Marcelo as he flings an aimless ball straight into Beto's hands.
90' +3
Beto gets yellow.
Not long left now. Marcelo has a dig from distance but it is blocked on the edge of the box. The crowd are desperate for the final whistle now!
90' +2
Carvajal looks to launch a break for Madrid but his attempted pass to Bale goes straight out of play for a throw in.
Benzema! Another attempt from Madrid flies off target with Beto untested. Meanwhile, it is full time at the Vicente Calderon and Atleti have beaten Granada 1-0, meaning they stay top of La Liga.
90' +1
Bale takes the free kick and he loops it onto the roof of the net. Ronaldo doesn't look impressed by that effort. We are into the first of four additional minutes now.
90'
Álvaro Morata enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
The referee awards a free kick to Madrid 25 yards from goal following a handball from Navarro. Can they make it count?
89'
RAKITIC! The Croatian lets fly from deep and his shot bounces just in front of Lopez, but the keeper shows a strong pair of hands to hold onto the effort. Madrid have another chance to come at their hosts from the clearance.
87'
WIDE! Marcelo drifts inside and has a go at goal with his right foot but he drags it wide of the near post. He puts his hands straight up to his head. He has become the master of the anti-climax tonight.
86'
Xabi Alonso gets yellow.
The whistles inside the stadium are growing in intensity now. Rakitic does well to relieve some pressure and spark a counterattack but his control from Vitolo's pass on the edge of the box is loose and Madrid recover.
84'
Finally an injection of pace to the Blancos attack as Benzema drives forward before cutting inside of M'Bia. He rolls a pass across to Alonso who shapes to curl and effort into the top corner. Under pressure from a white shirt, though, he is unable to pick out the target.
Minute
Description
83'
K. Gameiro enters the game and replaces C. Bacca.
Bacca goes off to a standing ovation from the fans inside the Sanchez Pizjuan. Not a bad replacement for the two-goal Colombian in the shape of Kevin Gameiro, though.
82'
That is painful from Bale. The Welshman fires another hopeless effort well off target, bringing the Madrid momentum to a fruitless end. Madrid aren't going to get an equaliser with shots like that.
81'
STAT: Real Madrid have not lost a midweek match in La Liga for six years. The run started in September 2007 and since then they have not lost in 19 league matches played on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
79'
R. Varane gets yellow.
78'
Audacious from M'Bia! The Frenchman clearly spotted Lopez off his line and tried to chip the keeper from distance, however his attempt sailed over the top of the goal. In the build-up Rakitic was absolutely clattered into by Varane, who is booked for the challenge.
77'
Madrid take a short corner to Bale on the corner of the box, but he fails to get the requisite bend on his shot to guide it into the top corner. He has really struggled this evening.
76'
The atmosphere inside the Sanchez Pizjuan is electric, and the stands are bouncing. Sevilla are on the brink of a club record sixth-consecutive Liga win, and it could do real damage to Real Madrid's title aspirations this season.
75'
Fernando Navarro enters the game and replaces José Antonio Reyes.
74'
STUNNING SAVE! Beto gets his fingertips to a searing right-footed effort from Ronaldo, 25 yards out. That shot was destined for the bottom corner so the Portuguese's touch was extremely important.
72'
C. Bacca has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by I. Rakitić.
GOOOOOOOOAL! SEVILLA TAKE THE LEAD! Again it is on the break, and Rakitic's first touch is exquisite as he flicks the ball over Pepe's head. He then dribbles forward before sliding a pass into Bacca who once more guides an effort past Lopez and into the goal.
71'
Vitolo enters the game and replaces M. Marin.
70'
Another poor ball from Bale! The Welshman shows good pace to get away from the white shirts in midfield but his pass up to Ronaldo is far too powerful, rolling all the way through to Beto.
69'
Alonso skews a shot well over the top from distance. He has not had his usual influence on this game tonight, and he's usually a better finisher than that. It was a rather poor effort.
68'
So, Isco comes on to replace Illarramendi. That is a positive change from Ancelotti, and one which may enable them to find a way through this Sevilla defence by playing it on the floor.
67'
Isco enters the game and replaces Illarramendi.
66'
Yet again Marcelo's end product isn't up to scratch! He finds space in behind Coke once more but his cutback is again straight to a white shirt. He displays his own annoyance at that, but he must improve in those areas tonight.
65'
Well, well, well! Atletico Madrid have just gone 1-0 up against Granada through Diego Costa. That means Atleti go top on 73 points, followed by Barcelona on 72 and los Blancos in third with 71.
63'
Ronaldo does superbly to move away from Fazio but just as he pulls the trigger Iborra gets his body in the way with an important covering challenge. It would have taken a special effort from the Portuguese to beat the keeper from there, but he's more than capable of that.
62'
Fazio is dealing with almost every cross Madrid are putting into the box at the moment. The towering Argentine will be more than happy if they keep that up. The visitors need to get Modric more involved again, as he can unlock the opposition with a pass along the deck.
61'
M. Marin gets yellow.
60'
Illarramendi clears away the first delivery, poking it off the toe of Coke, and the second corner is nodded behind by M'Bia. Madrid will instantly look to pen Sevilla back down the other end of the pitch now, but can they find the elusive second goal?
58'
Sevilla finally get out of their own half and from a throw in Coke plays a clever one-two with Rakitic. He has a shot at goal but it is deflected behind for the hosts' first corner of the night.
56'
Great interception! Modric again cuts through the Sevilla defence with an incisive pass to Marcelo. The Brazilian looks to square it for Ronaldo but Fazio just manages to get his foot to it and guide the ball back to his keeper.
55'
Madrid continue to retain the ball far better than their opponents tonight. The whistles are buidling inside the Sanchez Pizjuan as the stroke the ball about the pitch comfortably, probing for a space to attack.
53'
Marin is perhaps a little fortunate not to concede a corner there as he was running into trouble with Carvajal closing quickly. He attempts a sharp turn and loses his footing, but the referee blows his whistle to award the hosts a free kick for a perceived foul.
51'
The game has been a bit scrappy since the break, the latest example of which sees Pareja tug on Modric's shirt as the Madrid man looks to break. The referee spots it and awards the visitors a deserved free kick.
49'
STAT: Karim Benzema's double against Barcelona took his Liga total for Real Madrid to 72 strikes, equalling Fernando Morientes’ tally for the Spanish giants.
47'
BACCA!! A quick throw is flicked onto the Colombian by Marin and he holds it up well, 25 yards from goal. He shows great strength to hold off his markers before spinning away and loosing an effort on goal. He strikes it well, but it is always rising and drifts over the top.
46'
We are back underway in Seville.
45'
The referee plays only a few seconds of added time before bringing the half to a close.
43'
BETO AGAIN! The keeper makes another brilliant stop to keep out Bale from an acute angle at his near post. Perhaps the former Tottenham Hotspur man could have cut that back into the middle for a better option.
OFF THE POST! Illarramendi scoops an exquisite pass over the top of the defence and Ronaldo beats Beto to it, looping an effort over the keeper. The ball hits the inside of the post and bounces on the line before Pareja rushes in to clear it away. What a chance that was.
42'
Modric has been the brightest player for Madrid so far. The Croatian is finding pockets of space and using it well to pick out his team-mates, however with no runners coming from midfield it's all very one-dimensional from the visitors.
40'
It's not been Bale's night so far. The Welshman tries to thread a pass through to Illarramendi but he asks too much of the former Real Sociedad man and Fazio is able to shepherd it out of play.
39'
BETO! GREAT SAVE! Some patient build-up play from Madrid culminates with an effort from Ronaldo as the ball falls to him following M'Bia's challenge on Modric. He smashes it towards the top corner but Beto gets a hand to the effort to divert it over the bar. A fine save from the keeper.
37'
I heard that one! Modric pokes away the ball from the onrushing Bacca, but the Colombian does not pull out of his attmepts to absolutely leather it into the stands. He instead catches the Madrid man's foot, but fortunately both players appear to be fine. It certainly sounded painful!
35'
Rakitic has a go from distance after Iborra's initial effort is blocked on the edge of the box. He sends it low towards the corner and Lopez dives towards it, however it skids wide of the target.
34'
STAT: Los Blancos have won just three times in their last 10 Liga visits to Seville.
32'
Ronaldo again gets away from Iborra with ease and lets fly about 30 yards from goal. It is never going to test Beto, though, as he skies the shot well over the roof of the net.
31'
That is awful from Pepe. He attempts to send the ball into the box from deep but he ends up putting it far too deep down by the corner flag.
29'
SO CLOSE! Illarramendi is given space to have a dig from 20 yards but he thumps the ball into the side netting. Sevilla seem happy to let the visitors shoot from distance tonight.
27'
Well, we've got a rather evenly-contested game on our hands at the moment. Madrid are still enjoying the majority of possession but Sevilla look dangerous on the break. The addition of Illarramendi this evening is not having the effect of offering the defence more protection to that.
25'
LOVELY FOOTBALL! A slick, passing move is initiated by Marin as he plays the ball into Bacca. The Colombian exchanges the ball with Reyes a couple of time before the latter sends an effort just the wrong side of Lopez's goal from the top of the box. Some goal that would have been.
24'
A couple of replays have shown Rakitic all over Ronaldo when defending from set plays. The Croatian needs to be careful or he may find himself conceding a penalty in this game. So far the referee has let it slid.
23'
G. Bale gets yellow.
22'
WELL SAVED! Ronaldo hammers the resultant free kick at goal and it bounces in the area as it makes its way towards the bottom corner. Beto keeps his eyes on it all the way, though, and shows a good pair of hands to parry the attempt aside.
21'
Iborra gets yellow.
Another poor challenge from Iborra earns him a booking. The midfielder seems well off the pace of this game.
20'
Bale dribbles in from the right and decides to lash an effort on goal from 30 yards out but he pulls it wide of the near post. Not a great effort from the Welshman.
19'
C. Bacca has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by José Antonio Reyes.
GOOOOOOOAL! Madrid are sloppy with the ball and Sevilla break with Reyes slipping a pass through to Bacca. He gets in behind the defence and pokes a shot past Lopez and into the back of the net. What a response from the hosts.
18'
Ronaldo wins another free kick after a blistering run down the left which is only ended by a clumsy challenge from Iborra. It is flighted into the middle but Fazio clears and Sevilla can break...
16'
Rakitic comes inside from the left and rifles a pass into Bacca. He puts so much power behind it that it would be next to impossible for the Colombian to control, and it instead bounces off of him and Lopez collects the loose ball.
14'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOOOAL!! RONALDO! The Portuguese takes a free kick from 25 yards, which he won himself, and it takes a deflection off the arm of Bacca which wrongfoots the keeper and sails into the back of the net. Beto had given up on that, perhaps thinking there was going to be a penalty!
12'
BENZEMA!! The striker has another opportunity to break the deadlock as Carvajal finds his head with a cross from deep, but he fails to hit the target from the back post. Benzema's in good form at the moment so you'd expect him to put one of these away soon.
11'
CLOSE! Ronaldo bides his time inside the box before flicking a great pass to the byeline for the overlapping Carvajal. The right-back cuts it back for Benzema who steers a low effort towards the near post which Beto palms behind.
10'
Some nice work from Sevilla as they progress down the right flank, with Marin being played in inside the area. He shows great agility to check back and face up his man, but he is unable to wriggle between a swathe of blue shirts and is eventually dispossessed.
9'
Sevilla may have had the first chance of the game, but it is all Real Madrid now. Los Blancos look extremely comfortable in possession at the moment and Marcelo picks the moment to make his first foray forward. He is picked out on the left but his pass into the centre is behind Bale and the hosts clear.
7'
GOOD SAVE! Modric is again afforded freedom in the middle and once more he uses it to pick out a team-mate. His pass puts Benzema, who had ghosted away from Fazio, through on goal but his low shot towards the near post is saved by the keeper's legs.
5'
Modric is given far too much time and space as he brings the ball forward from the centre spot. No one closes him down and the Croatian angles a pass into the feet of Ronaldo. The Portuguese had peeled away from his marker but was unable to bring the ball under control and his first touch bounced straight into Beto's arms.
3'
BALE! Over the top! The Welshman picks up a loose ball inside the Sevilla half and dribbles towards goal. Fazio keeps backing off, inviting the winger to have a dig at goal. Bale obliges, arrowing a searing shot towards goal but he gets too much elevation on it and it flies over the goal.
2'
Well, what a start from Sevilla! Madrid look to instantly peg their opponents back by attacking on the break but they are unable to formulate anything to test Beto.
1'
We are underway in Seville!
EARLY CHANCE! Rakitic clips a free kick towards the back post and Iborra does well to steer the ball back into the danger area. However, Illarramendi positions himself well to clear it away with Fazio looking to add the finishing touch.
After a memorable Clasico defeat to Barcelona, Real Madrid travel to face an in-form Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in search of a win as they look to keep pace in an exhilarating title race with their two fiercest rivals: the Catalan giants and Atletico Madrid. My name is Tom Webber, and I will be guiding you through all the action this evening.
Los Blancos have every right to be gutted following their loss at home to the Blaugrana, however coach Carlo Ancelotti has warned Sevilla of a Madrid backlash tonight. The capital club have not lost back-to-back league games since the end of the 2008-09 season, when they suffered five straight Liga defeats.
The teams have been announced, so let's have a look at how the two sides will be shaping up.
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Lopez; Carvajal, Varane, Pepe, Marcelo; Modric, Alonso, Illarramendi; Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.
Real Madrid substitutes: Casillas, Coentrao, Casemiro, Nacho, Isco, Lucas Vazquez, Morata.
Unai Emery rested captain Ivan Rakitic, Marko Marin and Alberto Moreno for the 2-1 win away at Osasuna at the weekend, and the trio are restored to the starting line-up tonight. That result made it five consecutive Liga wins for the Andalusian outfit, equalling a club record set under Juande Ramos. Can they make it six tonight?
Sergio Ramos had his appeal against the red card shown to him in El Clasico turned down and so is unavailable tonight. Angel di Maria is also suspended so Asier Illarramendi comes into midfield, while Raphael Varane fills in at centre-back. Lucas Vazquez has been named on the Madrid bench and could make his debut at 22-years-old this evening.
Sevilla's win in Pamplona means they have achieved a feat which none of the top three have managed this season: to win at El Sadar. Confidence is high in Emery's side and they could give the visitors a real test again tonight. Los Blancos' last visit to the Sanchez Pizjuan ended in a 1-0 defeat and the scorer on that night, Piotr Trochowski, is on the bench for the hosts.
That victory is the only time Sevilla have avoided defeat against Madrid in their last eight league meetings, though. Los Blancos have impressed on the road this season too, and are currently undefeated in their previous 10 away outings in La Liga.
Just five minutes to go until kick off now. The reverse of this fixture was an engrossing 7-3 win for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu back in October. It was the first game in which Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale all scored. Lets hope for a similarly enthralling game tonight.
The teams are out on the pitch now. Sevilla wearing their traditional white shirts, meaning Real Madrid are in their alternate kit of all blue. Kick off just a few moments away now.
HALF TIME - Sevilla 1-1 Real Madrid: The visitors started well and took the lead through Ronaldo's deflected free kick, but the Andalusian outfit pegged them back quickly with a nice finish from Bacca. Ancelotti's men have monopolised possession but have been profligate in front of goal. It looked like being a tricky game for them tonight, and it is proving to be just that.
It is currently 0-0 in the other ongoing game between Atletico Madrid and Granada. As things stand, then, Barcelona sit top on 72 points following their 3-0 win over Celta earlier this evening. Atleti and los Blancos sit behind them, respectively, on 71 points. Join me in 10 minutes for the second half to see if they can change that.
Welcome back! The teams are making their way back out onto the pitch, so the second half will begin shortly.
FULL TIME - Sevilla 2-1 Real Madrid: Unai Emery's men went behind to a Ronaldo goal but Bacca's double secured a club record sixth-consecutive win, putting them just six points of a Champions League place. Madrid, meanwhile, fall to third position following victories for both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
What a game that was! Los Blancos suffer back-to-back defeats for the first time since the 2008-09 season, and it may really dent their hopes of lifting the Liga title this campaign.
That is it from me, Tom Webber, for this evening. Thanks a lot for joining me.
