C. Trafford enters the game and replaces S. Arfield.
Scott Arfield goes down with what looks like cramp and he is replaced by Charlie Trafford.
90' +3
CHANCE JORDAN RHODES - Griffiths drives towards the box and cuts the ball back and Rhodes is there to tap home but he loses his bearings and can't direct it goalwards. That's normally bread and butter for the poacher!
90' +1
Three minutes of stoppage time as Anya is announced as the man of the match. He has been the best player for Scotland but Aird will feel hard done by but that comes as no surprise considering the home advantage.
90'
Stoppage time is seconds away and the majority of the crowd seem pleased after a terrible second-half of football.
87'
Yet again Scotland give Aird too much time and space and he unleashes a powerful drive towards goal but it fizzes past the far post from 20 yards out but Scotland respond immediately. Fletcher glides into the box but sees his shot blocked for a corner but Canada do enough to clear Snodgrass' cross.
82'
Strachan's men continue to struggle to find a way through the Canada defence but Anya continues to cause problems down the right-hand side. With around 10 minutes to play they still have time on their side but this performance will be heavily criticised.
77'
WHAT A SAVE - McGregor has been a passenger in this second-half but he saves the day for Scotland. Aird nearly scored his second of the night after cutting in from the right wing but his effort from 20 yards out is tipped over by the Scotland stopper.
76'
J. McGinn enters the game and replaces T. Cairney.
B. Fisk enters the game and replaces S. Jackson.
Simeon Jackson has worked hard tonight and he is awarded an early rest with Benjamin Anthony Fisk Routledge stepping out onto the field.
Tonight's match has not suited Tom Cairney on his international debut and John McGinn will get the chance to impress off the bench.
74'
Hoilett tries to fire his side into the lead but leans back when shooting and his technique is matched by Bannan at the other end. After switching to his left foot, the playmaker aimed for the far corner but his effort sails over the bar.
71'
As expected the pace and tempo of the game has now dropped and the familiar friendly feel has surfaced. While Scotland do not need to worry about friendlies, this game was the perfect preparation for Sunday's clash with Slovenia. But after struggling so far, their confidence will no doubt suffer.

Description
68'
La'Vere Corbin-Ong enters the game and replaces M. Tissot.
As I mentioned, Maxim Tissot limps off and La'Vere Lawrence Corbin-Ong makes his first appearance for Canada.
67'
Griffiths appears fine to carry on but Tissot is being helped off the field and he will now be replaced.
66'
Little break in play as Leigh Griffiths goes down after colliding with Canada's Maxim Tissot. This will allow the players to get a drink but some of the Scotland squad may need to work harder to deserve one.
62'
L. Griffiths enters the game and replaces C. Martin.
J. Rhodes enters the game and replaces S. Naismith.
Another attacking change sees Chris Martin come off, with Leigh Griffiths now on the field.
Steven Naismith might have got Scotland's only goal so far but he now makes way for Sheffield Wednesday's Jordan Rhodes.
59'
Defender Charlie Mulgrew finds himself on the edge of the box and he spins inside his marker but his right-footed effort is stopped by defender Adam Straith.
58'
Scotland win a free-kick to the left of the box and Snodgrass floats the ball into the box looking for Berra. The centre-back wins his header but again misjudges his jump so heads it over the bar.
55'
Naismith shows his frustration as he chops down Arfield in midfield but at least Scotland are pressing high up the pitch at the moment.
52'
Canada break forward with pace and power and the ball is played into Jackson but the former Norwich City striker cannot compose himself and he slices the ball into the stands. He knows that was a good chance as he shakes his head as the goal-kick is taken by McGregor.
49'
With plenty of changes it may take Scotland a while to settle into a rhythm but they have continued to knock the ball around and midfielder Barry Bannan will certainly help them keep possession.
46'
J. Leutwiler enters the game and replaces S. Thomas.
B. Bannan enters the game and replaces O. Burke.
A. Robertson enters the game and replaces L. Wallace.
After missing several chances, Oliver Burke is given an early night and replaced by Barry Bannan.
A straight swap at left-back sees Lee Wallace replaced Andrew Robertson.
Canada decide to swap their goalkeepers as Simon Thomas makes way for Jayson Leutwiler.
45'
Back underway at Easter Road.
43'
Canada forward Marco Bustos has been quiet so far but he finally bursts into life and nearly scores but his shot loops up and misses the top left-hand corner. A big sigh of relief for Scotland who continue to shoot themselves in the foot at the back.
41'
Canada continue to be a threat on the counter attack and Jackson things he's done enough to get round goalkeeper Allan McGregor but the Cardiff City man sticks out his leg to intercept the ball.
39'
That goal should ease the pressure at Easter Road, while it is only a friendly, Scotland really should be winning this game. They've had plenty of chances and they may settle down after half-time.
35'
S. Naismith has scored a goal for Scotland! Assist by T. Cairney.
Tom Cairney grabs the assist after seeing his shot hit Naismith before going in.
GOAAALL Scotland 1-1 Canada - Steven Naismith is the man that is credited the goal but he did not know too much about it. Tom Cairney's shot from the edge of the box hit Naismith and the ball trickled over the line.
34'
Scotland continue to knock on the door and their latest chance has come from a corner. Snodgrass' outswinging corner finds Christophe Berra at the far post but he gets underneath the ball and heads well wide.
30'
HUGE CHANCE for Burke but the former Nottingham Forest man cannot lob the ball over Thomas, the keeper narrows the angle and Burke hits the ball straight at him after a good team move.
26'
CHANCE Canada - what an opportunity for the visitors as Aird looks for the far corner but he can only fire his spot wide of the far post. The home side then gift posession back to Canada and Simeon Jackson sees his shot blocked for a corner but nothing comes of the resulting set-piece.
25'
Snodgrass now drifts to the left hand side and finds room to cross, but Oliver Burke's effort is immediately closed down by Ledgerwood and Canada clear again. They've defended really well so far but Scotland look confident going forward.
23'
Martin goes close again after being played into the box but he loses his balance slightly and can only shoot straight at Canada goalkeeper Simon Thomas. Snodgrass takes the resulting corner but it's a poor one and goes straight out of play.
22'
More good work from Anya as he curls another cross into the box but Chris Martin cannot win the header, with Nikolas Ledgerwood winning the ball.
21'
Canada now trying to keep the ball and frustrate Strachan's men and in all fairness they're doing a pretty good job. Scotland probably feel they should be winning here but one error at the back has cost them dear so far, but plenty of time for them to recover.
18'
Another teasing cross from Anya is not dealt with by the visitors and the ball bounces off several players but Scotland cannot steer it goalwards and they settle for a throw-in.
16'
Another warning sign for Canada as Darren Fletcher picks up the loose ball but the West Brom man can only fire his shot wide of the target.
13'
SNODGRASS hits the post! The West Ham star turns inside before letting fly but his effort clips the post and Canada clear the danger.
11'
F. Aird has scored a goal for Canada!
Scotland 0-1 Canada - Fraser Aird opens the scroing for the visitors as he brushes off his marker in the box before steering the ball home. Both Lee Wallace and Charlie Mulgrew had the chance to clear but the home side have been punished.
10'
Canada have done well to ride out the early pressure and they almost find a way through when Junior Hoilett finds space but he cannot bring the ball under control on the edge of the box.
7'
After some early pressure Canada finally register their first effort but Burnley's Scott Arfield can only find a member of the crowd with his effort.
5'
As I say that Steven Naismith finds plenty of space in the box and he meets Ikechi Anya's cross at the near post but he can only steer his header wide of the target.
3'
Early signs suggest we may not get the most eye-catching of games. The pitch in Edinburgh is very boggy in patches but still Scotland continue to come forward.
2'
Bright start from the home side as they attack down the right and Robert Snodgrass' looping ball in causes problems before Canada clear their lines.
1'
The match is underway at Easter Road as Scotland kick us off.
As expected, there's plenty of spare seats this evening but Strachan's men cannot allow that to distract them as they try to lay down a marker.
Good evening and welcome along to our live text commentary of Scotland vs Canada in this international friendly clash. The game will serve as a good test for both teams with the respective managers looking to try and prepare for bigger games in the near future.
Gordon Strachan's Scotland team have struggled of late and tonight's encounter at Easter Road could give them a much needed confidence boost. They've won just one of their last five games and sit second bottom of Group F at present. They take on Slovenia on Sunday in a World Cup qualifier and they'll be hoping this game can help them kick on this weekend.
Tonight's visitors have been in better form, with Manuel Zambrano's side winning three of their last five. However, without causing offence, those wins have come against lesser opposition. The likes of El Salvador, Mauritania and Bermuda proved no match for them but Scotland will give them a stern test on home soil.
Tonight's team news coming up...
Scotland Starting XI (4-2-3-1): McGregor, Anya, Berra, Mulgrew, Wallace, Cairney, Fletcher, Snodgrass, Burke, Naismith, C Martin.
So for Scotland, Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney will make his international debut tonight in what is a huge night for him. Strachan has been very impressed with his form in recent weeks and this could be his chance to prove his worth ahead of Sunday's game. Leeds United's Liam Cooper is on the bench and he will also make his debut, should he feature tonight.
Like Scotland, Canada will also have some new faces amongst their ranks tonight. Falkirk's Luca Gasparotto and FSV Frankfurt's La'Vere Corbin-Ong could make their first appearances but start on the bench. Fellow Falkirk star Fraser Aird will start in midfield, alongside some familiar faces in Scott Arfield and Junior Hoilett. Walsall forward Simeon Jackson will lead the line as they try to put Scotland under pressure ahead of their clash with Slovenia.
The teams are out and we are now awaiting the national anthems. Kick-off fast approaching.
Wing-back Ikechi Anya remains at right-back after playing in the 3-0 defeat to England in November, while Christophe Berra, Lee Wallace, Darren Fletcher and Robert Snodgrass all retain their places. Strachan recalls Charlie Mulgrew, Oliver Burke, Steven Naismith, Cairney Chris Martin to his starting XI, while Grant Hanley, James Morrison, Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths and James Forrest all drop out.
HALF-TIME - Scotland 1-1 Canada.
Well what a crazy half of football that was. As I mentioned earlier, the conditions are not great but both teams have had plenty of chances to score. The home side were left stunned when Aird opened the scoring but Naismith was in the right place to make it 1-1.
With it being a friendly changes are expected but Strachan will need to get his message across. Going forward they look a threat against a relatively weak Canada team but at the back they've looked nervous and that needs to improve in the second-half.
FULL TIME - Scotland 1-1 Canada
Overall a disappointing night for Scotland as they are held in a friendly. There is no doubt that Sunday's clash with Slovenia is a bigger game but that was very very poor. With home advantage they should have secured the win and kicked on but it was not meant to be and Canada deserve plenty of credit.
Strachan asked for a big performance before kick-off and that didn't materialise so changes could be expected for this weekend's clash. Once again thanks for joining us, goodbye!
