Milito has a chance to have a profound effect on his last game for Inter, but can only muster a tame effort which trickles towards Squizzi. Chievo have won this game despite having an awful second half.
89'
V. Obinna has scored a goal for Chievo! Assist by B. Dramé.
GOOOOOOAL! OBINNA HAS SCORED AGAIN! He's done it, he's resigned Inter to defeat with another well-struck effort from outside the box! Carrizo wasn't getting near it, as the substitute steered the ball beyond him and into the bottom left corner!
88'
Only a few minutes remain in this contest, with the away fans in great voice. Mazzarri opts to give a youngster a run-out, as 16-year-old Bonazzoli comes into the attack in place of Botta. What a moment for him!
86'
A. Calello enters the game and replaces P. Hetemaj.
MILITO! Cambiasso quickly turns defence into attack for Inter, before his compatriot is presented with possession in a pocket of space 25 yards out from goal. He has no hesitation to shoot, but drags his attempt wide of the far post.
85'
F. Bonazzoli enters the game and replaces R. Botta.
84'
As it stands in the other Serie A games being played tonight, Inter may just be joined by rivals Milan in the Europa League next season! Due to Torino currently suffering defeat at the hands of Fiorentina, it's certainly looking on the cards!
82'
F. Guarín enters the game and replaces M. Kovačić.
Less than ten minutes to play and the result of this game is right in the balance. Obinna's goal has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons, with Inter's dominance looking a lot more shaky now. Mazzarri's men have had plenty more of the ball, but only the scoreline matters in football!
80'
Milito pulls up his first good contribution of the second half, turning his defender inside out before working his way to the byeline. His cross is well thought out, but Chievo manage to clear. Lazarevic is the man to lead the hosts' break, but his eventual cross from the right is turned behind for a corner.
79'
OBINNA! Inter break with pace, with D'Ambrosio haring down the left hand side before standing up a good cross. Milito and Botta challenge for it, but the latter is penalised. Chievo look to be direct and give the ball to their goalscorer once again, but this time the Nigerian slams a shot straight at Carrizo.
77'
Obinna has turned this game on its head since coming on, with the former Inter man running riot and looking to be extremely direct whenever possible. He cuts in from the right and balloons an effort high and wide from 20 yards.
Minute
Description
75'
A quarter of an hour left in this game and Chievo are right back in it! After a very poor start to the second half, Corini's side will feel that they've got the goal they deserve.
74'
B. Dramé gets yellow.
73'
V. Obinna has scored a goal for Chievo! Assist by D. Lazarević.
GOOOOOOOOOAL! WHAT A SUBSTITUTION FROM CORINI! Obinna has been on the field for merely seconds, but races into the penalty area before firing across Carrizo and into the far corner! It was from a tight angle, but the Nigerian's effort zips beyond the Inter keeper!
72'
V. Obinna enters the game and replaces D. Dainelli.
TAIDER! Kovacic goes on a brilliant run, taking the ball past two defenders and leaving Dainelli on his behind. Inside of shooting, the young Croatian sets a pass back to the edge of the area to invite Taider to shoot. The Algeria international rattles an effort towards goal, but sees it blocked well, with the rebound heading into Squizzi's arms.
70'
Drame is at the right place at the right time, to divert a back post Inter cross away from the awaiting Milito. After a slow start, Mazzarri's men truly are pulling the strings now, dominating possession and enjoying themselves.
69'
Chievo continue to labour going forward, with Lazarevic looking half of the player he was before the break. Inter look to be the favourites to end the Serie A campaign with victory.
67'
As the game turns into something of a stalemate, both managers might start looking towards their respective benches. There are plenty of options on both, with Mazzarri in particular having plenty of first team names in reserve.
65'
Less than half an hour to play and Chievo are looking out of ideas. Their early game surge needed to be capitalised upon, with Inter now firmly in control and manipulating the game in their favour. Paloschi is looking more isolated by the minute.
63'
RANOCCHIA! The substitute is nearly found at the back post, but Dainelli matches his run and turns the ball over his own crossbar! The resulting corner is half-cleared, before the same Chievo defender is forced into a brave block.
62'
T. Kupisz enters the game and replaces I. Radovanović.
61'
N. Frey gets yellow.
Nearly a mix-up for Inter, as Andreolli and Carrizo get their wires crossed, resulting in the Nerazzurri goalscorer colliding with his goalkeeper. Fortunately for the visitors, the Argentine shot-stopper keeps his gloves wrapped firmly around the ball with Paloschi lurking.
59'
Andreolli is found once again at the back post by a Inter free-kick delivery, but the goalscorer isn't able to turn his second attempt of the game towards Squizzi's net this time. The travelling supporters will be happy with Inter's solid start to this period.
58'
Ranocchia challenges on the penalty spot, attempting to divert a corner delivery home, but is prevented from doing so by heavy pressure. Mazzarri's men are beginning to get into their stride, knocking the ball around composedly.
57'
A slightly slower start to the second half, with Inter looking much more confident in defence after the introduction of Ranocchia. The Italian defender has to stake a claim to get into Prandelli's final squad for Brazil, and having this calming effect on the Nerazzurri backline is a good start.
55'
D'Ambrosio is penalised for a shove on Radovanovic, though the wing-back was quite clearly going nowhere and therefore playing for the foul. Bentivoglio whips in the cross, but Carrizo is straight off his line to claim - composed stuff from the Inter goalkeeper thus far.
53'
Zanetti makes an important block deep on the right to deny Rubin, as Chievo win the first corner of the second half. It's whipped in with pace, but Carrizo is comfortably able to punch the delivery away with two fists.
51'
Paloschi is the only man being committed forward for Chievo, as Corini presumably is of the thinking that his side can't afford to concede the game's second goal. Kovacic tries an ambitious long ball, but places it too close to Squizzi, who gobbles it up.
49'
Half decent cross from Rubin on the left hand side, but Carrizo is easily able to come off his line and reach the ball before Paloschi. The pattern of the game appears to be the same, with Chievo trying to take the game to Inter, but the visitors happy to bide their time and break with pace.
47'
One change at half-time, as Ranocchia replaces Campagnaro. Mazzarri might just want to give his defender the best chance of impressing Cesare Prandelli ahead of the Italy coach selecting his squad for the upcoming World Cup.
46'
A. Ranocchia enters the game and replaces H. Campagnaro.
We are back underway in the second half! Chievo will be looking to right the wrongs of the opening 45 minutes, so we should have an interesting second period on our hands!
45'
Paloschi breaks into the penalty area, but is penalised for a shove on Campagnaro, as the former Napoli defender looked to shepherd the ball out of play. It's not quite happening for Chievo.
43'
Although Chievo have shown themselves to be more than a match for Nerazzurri, it appears that Corini's side will be heading into half-time a goal down. Inter haven't had too many good chances, but Andreolli popped up opportunistically to gift the away side an undeserved lead.
41'
M. Andreolli has scored a goal for Inter Milan!
GOOOOOOAL! ANDREOLLI NETS AGAINST HIS FORMER CLUB! It's a muted celebration from the defender, but Inter have the lead! Despite being the worse team for long periods, the Italian pounces on a loose ball deep in the box and fires his new side ahead!
39'
Rubin launches a long throw into the penalty area, but Inter deal with it easily and clear their lines. Bentivoglio and Botta clash heads in the process, but both players are quickly back to their feet and keen to continue without any treatment.
38'
M. Andreolli gets yellow.
37'
Botta cuts back on his favoured left foot on the edge of the penalty area, but slips as he tries to bend an ambitious effort inside the far post. This game is certainly much more evenly balanced now, but Squizzi remains relatively untested - with his defenders doing plenty of his work for him.
35'
Bernardini rises highest at the near post to try and direct a Chievo free-kick delivery towards goal, but gets his angles all wrong. The ball balloons out of play as this game continues to lack a breakthrough goal.
34'
Dainelli is booked for a tug on Milito, as the Inter striker attempted to roll his man and fire a shot at goal. Inter have a free-kick 20 yards out in a central area, but Milito can only drill his attempt into the wall. Disappointing.
33'
DRAME! The Chievo midfielder makes a bursting run from deep in midfield, but places his eventual 25-yard effort straight into the awaiting hands of Carrizo. The former River Plate goalkeeper had an eternity to watch the ball before gathering it up easily.
32'
TAIDER! The Algerian midfielder dips a half volley towards goal from 25 yards, but his effort is narrowly wide of the far post! He had Squizzi worried, but once again Inter fail to test the Chievo shot-stopper. Moments earlier, D'Ambrosio cut in from the left, but saw his effort blocked once again.
30'
POST! LAZAREVIC! The Slovenian has been running rampant thus far, this time cracking an effort from a tight angle against the inside of the post! He was threaded through on goal well by Paloschi and did everything right, but for failing to place his shot one inch too far towards the outside of the upright!
28'
LAZAREVIC! He tries his luck with the outside of his boot from 25 yards, but fails to get the curve required to trouble Carrizo. The hosts have had more half chances than their adversaries, with the likes of Botta and Alvarez having nightmares thus far.
26'
Lazarevic is popping up everywhere in this game, now chasing a lost cause to pressure Carrizo. He clearly has a point to prove, as he hares around the field, not giving Inter's defenders a moment of peace on the ball.
24'
Plenty of early deliveries for Paloschi to try and put himself on the end on, but the opening goal is still elusive for either side. Both Carrizo and Squizzi have been called into action, with plenty of intensity for a game which essentially has no bearing on either side's league finish.
22'
LAZAREVIC! The Slovenian shows his pace once again, bursting beyond Campagnaro and getting to the byeline. The Argentine centre-half intelligently recovers, however, before being able to intercept the Chievo forward's cross and turn it behind for another early corner. Plenty of pace and drive in Corini's front three.
20'
D'AMBROSIO! Good save from Squizzi! The wing-back cuts in from the left hand side, before firing a low drive into the legs of the Chievo goalkeeper! Inter win a corner, which is eventually cleared by the hosts after Squizzi is forced into a second half decent stop.
18'
Inter enjoy their first extended spell of pressure, but after a minute on the ball, Chievo still stand firmly in their path. Mazzarri's men aren't looking particularly dangerous, but have the likes of Icardi and Guarin available as offensive catalysts should they need them.
16'
Inter are trying to break upfield quickly whenever they have the ball, but it appears that Kovacic is the only man with the tools to break apart this well-drilled Chievo outfit. Milito and Botta have been fairly anonymous as the striking duo, leaving plenty of responsibility on the young Croatian's shoulders.
15'
The opening 15 minutes have been controlled by Chievo, as Corini's side bid to end their campaign in style. They may have struggled throughout the season, but you wouldn't have guessed it from their performance thus far. Botta flashes a long-range effort over the bar from 25 yards.
13'
Paloschi makes a dangerous run to the near post, before attempting to flick a corner delivery goalwards! Cambiasso is on hand to make the block, as Inter continue to look half-asleep. The away side then break quickly, but the move ends with Milito having his shot charged down easily.
12'
Another testing delivery into the penalty area from Bentivoglio bounces wide of the far post, as Mazzarri's men continue to struggle. The inclusion of Cambiasso at centre-half isn't to blame for Inter's defensive instability, the Nerazzurri are yet to get going as a collective.
10'
PALOSCHI! CROSSBAR! A brilliant cross from the right hand side is turned towards goal well by an unmarked Paloschi, but the Italian forward can only plant his effort onto the bar! Carrizo is merely a spectator, taking a big sigh of relief as the ball bounces clear of danger!
9'
Rubin! The left-back gallivants down the flank, before slotting a clever cross to the back post - but he's caught offside. All of the offensive ideas in this game are coming from the home side at the moment, they've come out the traps well despite having nothing to play for but pride.
7'
Botta is penalised for sliding in late on Rubin, as Inter struggle to make the ball stick up top. It's been all Chievo thus far, as Mazzarri's men struggle to get a foothold in proceedings. Another ambitious long ball looking for Paloschi runs all the way through to Carrizo.
5'
PALOSCHI! Another good chance for Chievo! Carrizo pressures the hosts' striker, but their league top scorer really should be doing better! The Italian is put through on goal via a long ball, but the onrushing Argentine keeper forces Paloschi to place his shot slightly the wrong side of the upright.
4'
LAZAREVIC! Great run from the Slovenian forward! He hares away, wriggling between two challenges, before the eventual shot from the Chievo man is blocked by Zanetti. The home side have started with more vibrancy!
3'
A sloppy start to the game, with plenty of misplaced passes for Chievo already. Radovanovic makes the worst mistake of the lot, playing a ball to invite an overlap from Frey, but the Frenchman wasn't there whatsoever - rather embarrassingly.
1'
We are underway in the first half! Zanetti is captain for his final game in an Inter shirt, with plenty of other experienced faces who probably won't be renewing their contracts with the club. The Argentine contingent of the squad will shrink slightly, given the probable release of Cambiasso and Milito.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the final day of the Serie A season, as Inter travel to Verona to face Chievo. The hosts have already managed to escape relegation before a ball has been kicked today, meaning that there isn't a great deal to play for apart from pride and the desire to impress. The Nerazzurri have secured a place in the Europa League due to their four point cushion over Torino.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, as both sides look to end the season in winning style. Victories last time out for both Corini and Mazzarri's men mean that momentum is somewhat equally possessed, though Inter's late surge into the European places will position them as firm favourites for this evening's match-up.
TEAM NEWS: Cambiasso, Milito and Zanetti start on what will be the compatriots' last appearance for Inter. Campagnaro, Andreolli and D'Ambrosio are slotting into defence, as Mazzarri opts to make plenty of changes. Taider and Botta feature in midfield, with Kovacic looking to continue his good form in behind the Nerazzurri's lone striker.
TEAM NEWS: Alberto Paloschi starts up top for the hosts, after his important recent strikes secured Chievo's top flight status for another campaign. Cesar is dropped for the home side, with Sardo out injured following his early substitution versus Cagliari. Rubin gets a start, with Thereau missing from the match squad altogether. The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away in the summer.
With only 15 minutes remaining until kick-off, be sure to stick around for all of the action, as a much-rotated Inter side attempt to end the season on a high and impress their manager ahead of the new campaign. Several players will be wanting to end their Nerazzurri careers with a memorable performance, while Chievo are merely glad to still be a Serie A outfit.
Only a few minutes until kick-off, with both teams just coming out of the tunnel and onto the field of play. Plenty of chances for fringe players tonight, with the home crowd hoping to see their charges put in a memorable last performance of the season on their own patch. Plenty of choreography from the away fans, we're almost ready to go!
HALF TIME! Despite Chievo being the better of the two sides, Mazzarri's Inter are 1-0 to the good at the break. Andreolli's smart finish has put Nerazzurri in the driving seat, although both Paloschi and Lazarevic have struck the woodwork for the hosts.
Corini's men have looked vibrant in attack, with Slovenian forward Lazarevic running riot and using his pace against a rotated Inter back four. The away side won't be pleased with the contributions of Botta, Alvarez or Milito, but somehow find themselves planning to build on their lead in the second 45 minutes.
Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes time for all of the second half's action, as Inter look to close out a narrow win and end the Serie A campaign in victorious fashion. Chievo will feel aggrieved to be behind, which could result in a reaction from Corini's men early on.
FULL TIME! Chievo leave it late to defeat Inter in their final game of the Serie A campaign, meaning that the likes of Cambiasso, Zanetti and Milito leave the club on a slightly sour note. Super sub Victor Obinna grabbed both the goals for the hosts, after Andreolli opening the scoring against his former employers.
Very much a confusing game, as Chievo fail to capitalise on their bright spells, instead settling for a smash-and-grab victory during a terrible second half. Zanetti, Milito and Cambiasso head over to the away support for the final time in their Inter careers.
The curtain has fallen on another Serie A season, with legendary careers ending to boot. Inter finish in the European places, with Chievo surviving the drop with a game to spare. The hosts won tonight, coming from behind to triumph, but the focus very much appears to be on the retirement of Zanetti. I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time.
