Ntep sees a strike deflect off the legs of a defender, but it doesn't quite wrongfoot Courtois! The substitute has made a huge impact since taking to the field, his pace and power have caused all kinds of problems against a tiring Belgium defence.
90' +2
We're into the second of three minutes of stoppage time at Stade de France! The hosts have time to restore parity!
90' +1
D. Payet has scored a goal for France! Assist by M. Sissoko.
GOOOOOOOAL! IT'S NOW 4-3! Payet manages to squeeze a finish just inside the near post from the edge of the box! Sagna picks out the Marseille man, who guides a wonderful finish beyond the huge armspan of the Belgium goalkeeper! Nervy moments for the visitors now!
89'
N. Fekir has scored a goal for France! Assist by P. Ntep.
GOOOOOOOAL! FEKIR SLAMS HOME TO MAKE IT 4-2! Ntep causes all kinds of problems yet again, bundling his way through the visiting defence at pace. A bobbling rebound falls to to the Lyon midfielder, who lashes a powerful finish over the despairing gloves of Courtois and into the back of the net!
88'
Ntep breaks to the left byline brilliantly, before attempting to cut back a cross to Lacazette, but Courtois is able to smother the delivery ahead of the latter. Payet goes down tentatively after being pressured inside the opposition penalty area, but the referee isn't interested in awarding another penalty.
86'
Ntep gallops down the left-hand side, after combining brilliantly with Lacazette, but Carrasco tracks back fantastically to slide in and deny the substitute as he strolled into the Belgian penalty area. The resulting corner, yet again, is caught by a pressured Courtois. The Chelsea goalkeeper is commanded his box brilliantly tonight.
85'
L. Dendoncker enters the game and replaces J. Denayer.
84'
Fekir tries to scamper his way down the right flank, but Dembele bundles the substitute to the ground and concedes a free kick. Payet is tasked with swinging it in, but Courtois does brilliantly to get down and deny a downward header from Lacazette! The resulting corner is cushioned back to the Belgium goalkeeper by one of his defenders.
82'
Wilmots is now rotating some of his personnel, with the Red Devils' job more than certainly already done here today. Less than 10 minutes are left on the clock for France to try and fight back in order to make this result less embarrassing.
81'
M. Dembélé enters the game and replaces A. Witsel.
Minute
Description
80'
P. Ntep enters the game and replaces O. Giroud.
Giroud tries his luck from a very tight angle, with Vertonghen managing to deflect the ball wide for another French corner. Again, the first delivery is cleared, before a looping header from Varane is claimed by Courtois. Routine for the former Atletico shot-stopper.
78'
Chadli is introduced in the middle of the park, with two-goal hero Fellaini given a standing ovation by the travelling Belgian support. The Spurs midfielder immediately goes on a great run through the heart of the hosts' midfield, before laying off a neat pass. The Red Devils can seemingly do no wrong against lacklustre Les Bleus.
77'
N. Chadli enters the game and replaces M. Fellaini.
76'
Lacazette drives towards the edge of the penalty area, before unleashing a strike from 20 yards that deflects off Alderweireld and wide! The resulting corner is wasted, as France continue to fire blanks in front of goal. Payet tries to clips a diagonal ball into Fekir, but he weights it terribly and the ball heads right behind for a goal kick.
74'
Tremoulinas works his way down the left-hand side, before lifting a left-footed cross onto the head of Giroud at the back post! While backpedalling, the former Montpellier man can only send a header onto the roof of the visitors net. Courtois has only had to make one save throughout this contest.
73'
N. Fekir enters the game and replaces M. Valbuena.
72'
Lacazette chops inside from the left flank, before placing a 25-yard strike directly at Courtois! That's the first sign of life from the substitute, as Deschamps' changes have struggled to make anything in the way of an impact. Valbuena is back on the field and immediately back in the thick of it.
70'
The resulting free kick is clattered into the wall by Payet, before a looping cross is once again easily claimed by Courtois. Belgium have stepped off the gas slightly in the last 10 minutes, but Lacazette and Giroud continue to offer nothing going forward.
68'
Valbuena is brought down by Vertonghen on the edge of the penalty area, with the Frenchman catching a knee to the head from Lombaerts. It was purely accidental from the central defender, but the French physios are immediately hurried onto the field. That could easily be a concussion, but the French goalscorer looks to be quickly back to his feet without incident.
66'
Belgium win a free kick on the edge of the hosts' penalty area, but it is sent flashing wide of the right-hand post. Moments later, France break down the right, but a cross from Payet is collected by Courtois with consummate ease. The Chelsea goalkeeper is probably a little bit bored.
64'
Despite having a comfortable lead, it is still Belgium who are leading the charge! The Red Devils aren't relenting, with Deschamps surely furious at the way his team have performed this evening. The away fans are cheering every completed pass at this stage of proceedings!
62'
Lukaku thunders a half volley against the crossbar! Koscielny is comically unaware of the ball's whereabouts within his own penalty area, with it bouncing off the neck of the French defender and into the substitute's path. He doesn't think twice and cannons a wonderful effort onto the woodwork! It might be shaking until tomorrow!
60'
Half an hour remains on the clock for France, who need to score three goals in order to save face. Vertonghen shows some neat footwork down the right-hand side, before the ball is sprayed out to the right-hand side. Carrasco whips in a cross, but he can't quite combine with his fellow substitute Lukaku! The Everton striker can't quite stretch enough to make contact and turn the ball home from close-range.
59'
R. Lukaku enters the game and replaces C. Benteke.
Y. Carrasco enters the game and replaces D. Mertens.
58'
The Red Devils' travelling fans are utterly jubilant. Without Benteke offering too much, Belgium have recorded four goals, with Lukaku now at the point of being introduced. Ferreira-Carrasco is also thrown into the fray in place of Mertens. Wilmots is showing no remorse!
56'
Well, this contest certainly hasn't been low on entertainment! France's fans will want to see at least a couple of additional goals from their personnel tonight, with a comprehensive defeat to neighbouring Belgium certainly being seen as an embarrassment. Valbuena tries to play an overlapping pass to Tremoulinas, but the Sevilla man simply didn't make the run that his teammate was expecting. Nothing is going quite right for Les Bleus.
54'
Penalty goal scored by E. Hazard for Belgium!
PENALTY FOR BELGIUM! Witsel is left on the floor now, after a clumsy tackle from Koscielny. He wasn't the right side of his man, leading to the Arsenal defender always running the risk of giving away a spot kick.
GOOOOOOOOOAL! HAZARD RESTORES BELGIUM'S THREE-GOAL LEAD! The Chelsea forward slots a calm finish to the right-hand side of Lloris, almost mimicking Valbuena's penalty exactly. Back to square one again for France.
53'
Penalty goal scored by M. Valbuena for France!
GOOOOOOOAL! VALBUENA MAKES IT 3-1! The Frenchman keeps his cool and holds his nerve, slotting a low finish to the right-hand side of the goalkeeper. Les Bleus have a chance of pulling this contest back now, but they'll have to have a fantastic final half an hour.
52'
It goes from bad to worse for France. Deschamps would have hoped for a change of scenario in the second half, but an early Nainggolan strike has now left Les Bleus with an utter mountain to climb. Immediately, however, the hosts have a chance, as Vertonghen is penalised for tugging on the shirt of Vertonghen. That could be seen as soft!
50'
R. Nainggolan has scored a goal for Belgium! Assist by M. Fellaini.
GOOOOOOOOOAL! WHAT A STRIKE FROM NAINGGOLAN! The Roma midfielder slams a wonderful finish inside the far post, with Lloris having absolutely no chance! He couldn't have hit it more cleanly if he tried! Fellaini teed up his teammate, who beats the goalkeeper with a wondrous screamer.
49'
Sissoko almost manages to stab a through ball into the path of Giroud, but Denayer steps out well to deny the latter. Hazard attempts to skip down the left-hand side, but Sagna makes a brilliant tackle. France counter immediately, with Giroud picked out by a good cross, but the Arsenal forward's eventual effort is parried away from danger well by Courtois.
47'
Payet and Lacazette are introduced at the half-time break, with Griezmann and Cabaye replaced as a result. Deschamps was clearly unhappy with his side's performance in the first half, with the Frenchman not wasting any time in changing things around. There is a brief stoppage in play due to a pitch invader.
46'
A. Lacazette enters the game and replaces A. Griezmann.
D. Payet enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.
We are back underway at Stade de France! The hosts have a two-goal deficit at the restart, with Deschamps needing to inspire something of a miracle from this rather drab and dreary collection of personnel. Sissoko, Matuidi and Griezmann are the only men who can feel they have contributed offensively thus far for Les Bleus.
44'
A couple of desperate clearances are required from the Red Devils, as France go in search of a late breakthrough goal in the first half. Cabaye is penalised for another poor tackle, with Les Bleus continuing to ride their luck in terms of refereeing decisions - minus the possibility of Fellaini's opener potentially being offside.
42'
M. Fellaini has scored a goal for Belgium! Assist by T. Alderweireld.
GOOOOOOOOOAL! FELLAINI MAKES IT 2-0! A cross is hung up from the right-hand side, after a free kick was taken short, with the Man United midfielder rising unmarked to power a brilliant header into the bottom-right corner! Koscielny was marking his own man, rather than the afro-touting goalscorer!
41'
Y. Cabaye gets yellow.
Yellow card for Cabaye! It so easily could have been red! Hazard is released in behind the France back four on the break, with the former Lille midfielder hacking his man down cynically! The French midfielder was last man, but the match official doesn't dismiss him!
40'
Valbuena wastes another free-kick delivery from the right-hand side, with it currently looking like a good job that France do not have any upcoming European Championship qualifiers. Tremoulinas tries to break into the opposition penalty area, but Mertens tracks back to concede a corner - which comes to nothing.
38'
Griezmann is the latest man to go down, after some physical battling from Nainggolan. The Roma midfielder didn't appear to do anything wrong and gives the referee a piece of his mind as a result. Belgium are simply stronger and more competitive at the moment.
36'
Sissoko leaves Vertonghen on a heap on the floor, after a poor tackle, with a follow through from the former Toulouse midfielder catching the left-back with his studs. Less than 10 minutes remain in the first half at Stade de France, with Giroud really struggling to show why he has Deschamps' faith for the moment, at least.
34'
A cross from the right flank from France is dealt with easily once again, with Giroud struggling to impose himself as an aerial presence due to Belgium's central defensive and midfield options. The Red Devils are more than happy to slow things down and keep the ball, much to the delight of the travelling support.
32'
We're just over the half-hour mark, with Les Bleus still looking rather clueless as to how they might endeavour to get back in this game. A looped cross is sent in towards the back post once again, but Vertonghen is able to head clear. Sagna then whips in a delivery from the right, but Witsel slides in to make a timely half clearance. Moments later, Sissoko fires a few yards wide of the post with a low drive.
30'
Belgium whip another corner into the opposition penalty area, but it is easily scrambled away, before Deschamps' men counter. Some invention down the left results in a cross, but Alderweireld clears, before a second delivery from the same flank is claimed with ease by Courtois.
28'
Belgium's physios are called on to deal with Mertens, after a terrible two-footed challenge from Tremoulinas. That should be a straight red card for the Sevilla full-back, with the former PSV winger looking to be hurt. France have really gotten away with one there.
26'
Good save from Lloris! Mertens makes his way to the right byline, before lifting a cross in towards the edge of the six-yard box, but Benteke is unable to nod a point-blank header beyond the Tottenham goalkeeper! The Belgian striker's attempt is placed far too close to the French shot-stopper.
25'
Deschamps is patrolling his technical area, but his France side continue to labour within the opposition's final third. Valbuena tries to lift a ball down the line for Sissoko to chase, but Vertonghen simply intervenes with his head and clears the danger. It's all very predictable from the home side at the moment.
23'
Valbuena has the chance to curl a free-kick delivery into the box from the right-hand side, but Courtois is quick off his line to easily claim above the crowd in his penalty area. The Chelsea goalkeeper hasn't been asked to do anything outside of his comfort zone thus far.
21'
Griezmann sees two shots charged down on the periphery of the Belgian penalty area, with the home side winning a corner as a result. The Atletico forward and Valbuena have struggled to get involved, with Belgium having plenty of physical presences within their defence. Les Bleus see a corner half cleared, before a second delivery is lifted to the back post by Griezmann, but Sissoko is unable to stretch far enough to make contact.
19'
The away fans are making plenty of noise now that their side has the lead! This contest has been incredibly tight, with France certainly having every right to feel hard done to after going behind. Young defender Denayer really hasn't been tested by the home side and Giroud quite yet.
17'
M. Fellaini has scored a goal for Belgium!
GOOOOOOOOAL! FELLAINI MAKES IT 1-0! France can't clear their lines and the former Standard Liege midfielder capitalises! Nainggolan sees a cross deflect off Witsel, with the ball bouncing fortunately into the path of the Man United man. He takes a touch, before slamming a finish beyond Lloris, with the hosts' defence left looking around for an offside flag.
16'
Hazard releases Mertens down the right-hand side, but the Napoli winger is unable to keep the ball in play at the byline. Everything dangerous for Belgium is coming through the Chelsea forward, with this game otherwise lacking any kind of spark. Sissoko and Matuidi have driven well from deep, but France are struggling to click into gear.
14'
Giroud is battling for every ball in the Belgian half, but the former Montpellier man is unable to spend too much time with it at his feet. Tremoulinas whips in a cross from the left-hand side, but neither Giroud nor Sissoko can turn it home! Les Bleus manage to win another corner, but it is easily cleared from the danger area.
12'
France win a corner out on the right-hand side, but Sissoko is unable to bring the ball down after an unconvincing defensive header. The loose ball finds its way to the edge of the penalty area, before a terrible shot results in a goal kick for the Red Devils.
10'
Griezmann is released down the right flank, but centres a pass that is easily cut out by Witsel. The Zenit midfielder looks to carry possession upfield, but then plays an errant ball himself. The opening 10 minutes certainly haven't been of high quality, with Hazard the only man to look a cut above the rest.
8'
Sagna makes two important defensive headers to prevent Hazard from getting in behind the back four, with Hazard showing a few wonderful touches in the opening minutes. Matuidi breaks down the left flank at real pace, but Witsel matches the PSG midfielder every step of the way, before outmuscling him to win Belgium a goal kick.
6'
Hazard goes on a run through the heart of the French midfield, but eventually hurtles into a dead end. Tremoulinas is then fed down then left-hand side, but a cross from the Sevilla defender loops directly onto the roof of Courtois' net.
4'
Half chance for Giroud! Sissoko breaks down the left-hand side, before chopping back onto his right foot and cutting back an intelligent ball. The Arsenal striker gets there first, but can only direct a snapshot beyond the near upright.
3'
A couple of misplaced passes and scrappy fouls slow down the opening few minutes. Despite this being a friendly, the atmosphere here is vibrant and buoyant, with Belgium leading the charge early on. Mertens tries to play a ball down the channel, but Cabaye cuts it out well.
1'
We are underway at Stade de France! After the national anthems, it's time to get down to the football! The hosts are in their famous blue, while Belgium wear red
Hello and welcome to live coverage of tonight's international friendly between France and Belgium, with this fixture foreshadowing some important European Championship qualifying matches for the latter outfit. Given the close geographical proximity of the nations involved, this is bound to be more than simply a friendly, with Marc Wilmots' side surely keen to extend their reputation as dark horses of the international game one step further this evening.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Stade de France, as Didier Deschamps' men attempt to continue their reasonable post-World Cup form. Belgium came out with comfortable wins against Cyprus and Israel in the last international break, but tonight represents a totally different challenge for the Red Devils.
TEAM NEWS: Sevilla's Benoit Tremoulinas gets a start at left-back, with Bacary Sagna being deployed on the opposite flank. Laurent Koscielny and Raphael Varane partner up in the centre of defence, with Eliaquim Mangala taking a seat on the bench. Yohan Cabaye is included in midfield, despite a lack of first-team action for PSG domestically, with the in-form Antoine Griezmann starting in attack. Olivier Giroud is Les Bleus' focal point, with Mathieu Valbuena out on the right flank.
TEAM NEWS: Manchester City youngster Jason Denayer gets a start at centre-back for the away side alongside Nico Lombaerts. Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are Belgium's full-backs, with Wilmots continuing to have to use central defenders to plug gaps in wider defensive areas. Radja Nainggolan, Maroaune Fellaini and Axel Witsel make up a tenacious and physically imposing central midfield three. Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens are asked to provide the ammunition for Christian Benteke.
HALF TIME! Belgium head into the break with a two-goal lead, courtesy of two strikes from Fellaini! Two half chances in the box have been enough for the tall midfielder, with Benteke also responsible for missing a golden opportunity. Tremoulinas and Cabaye could both have been dismissed for Les Bleus, with Deschamps' men presumably wanting to forget that 45 minutes of football as soon as possible.
FULL TIME! France manage to claw their way back to a 4-3 defeat at Stade de France, after a spirited final five minutes from Les Bleus on home soil. Goals from Fellaini, Nainggolan and Hazard were enough for Wilmots' side, with Valbuena, Fekir and Payet netting the consolations. That's all that we have time for, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time.
