Jamaica in yellow shirts, black shorts and yellow socks. Mexico in black shirts, shorts and socks.
Hi everyone! Welcome to Goal's LIVE commentary of the Gold Cup final between Mexico and Jamaica. I'm Jon Arnold, and I'll be taking you through all the action.
The starting lineups are in for both teams. Let's start with Miguel Herrera's Mexico.
Herrera will send out Guillermo Ochoa; Paul Aguilar, Maza Rodriguez, Diego Reyes, Oswaldo Alanis, Miguel Layun; Jesus Duenas, Jonathan dos Santos, Andres Guardado; Jesus "Tecatito" Corona, Oribe Peralta in a 5-3-2.
Winfried Schafer's Jamaica begins with Ryan Thompson in goal, Adrian Mariappa, Wes Morgan, Michael Hector and Kemar Lawrence at the back, Je-Vaughn Watson, Rodolph Austin, Jobi McAnuff and Garath McLeary in midfield with Simon Dawkins and Giles Barnes up top
Huge test for Duenas, who comes into the Mexico midfield. It's the first minutes he'll play in the Gold Cup - and they come in the final match. Tecatito also has to play up top with Carlos Vela suspended. We'll see how the young player - generally on the wings - does up top.
No surprises for Jamaica. Simon Dawkins returns to the starting lineup after a successful substitute showing in the semifinal against the United States. That solid back line remains in tact with Austin and McAnuff mixing things up in front of them.
Giovani dos Santos was injured against Trinidad and Tobago in Mexico's final group game. He's working apart from the rest of Mexico's substitutes, according to the TV broadcast, so it sounds like he's unlikely to enter tonight's final.
Both teams enter the final undefeated. After a tournament-opening draw against Costa Rica, Jamaica defeated Canada, El Salvador and Haiti - all by 1-0 scorelines - before getting by the United States, 2-1.
Mexico thumped Cuba, draw with Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago and beat Costa Rica and Panama in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Both of those matches saw controversial penalties whistled in El Tri's favor. El Salvador's Joel Aguilar is thought of as the confederation's best official, though he hasn't been without controversial moments. He's in the center for this one
Charles Morgante and Juan Zumba are the assistants.
Teams are on the pitch, captains Rodolph Austin and Andres Guardado have read statements about fighting disease and now the Jamaican national anthem is playing.
The ball is on the spot. The teams are getting final inspiration. A new CONCACAF champion will be crowned tonight. Will it be Mexico or Jamaica? We're about to find out.
Mexico will be pleased with the first half. Jamaica came forward and defended well, but eventually El Tri broke through. Now all that stands between them and the Gold Cup - and the ticket to a playoff against the United States that comes with it - is 45 more minutes.
We've got a ton of coverage coming for you on Goal. Stay tuned. For now, that's my cue. Thanks for joining our live coverage. We'll talk soon.
