Dortmund have come alive when necessary in this match to flatten a spirited Augsburg side. The relegation contenders were causing real difficulty for the visitors early on, but this match is beyond them now.

GOAL! Manninger reacts brilliantly to push away Ramos' header from the corner, but he's only able to put it back into the path of the striker as he turns home the rebound.
74'
CLOSE! Another deflected shot for Dortmund, this time by Ramos, but Manninger was relieved to see this effort go wide of his post as the Colombian shot from the edge of the box.

Now it's Augsburg who have to do the attacking, but with Dortmund commanding the possession so excellently it's going to be difficult for the home side.

62'
M. Leitner enters the game and replaces S. Kagawa.
CLOSE! Mkhitaryan and Ramos break as a long pass forward from Weigl meets with the Armenian, who later finds his teammate at the back post with a drilled cross, but the striker was always stretching for the ball and could only turn the ball into the side netting.
Tuchel opts for another sub, bringing on Leitner for Kagawa.
60'
It looks as if the tempo has been lifted by Dortmund now, and it's certainly becoming much more difficult for Augsburg to contain them. If the visitors continue like this, it won't be long before they take the lead.
58'
CHANCE! A marvellous pass from Hummels with the outside of his boot finds Kagawa in the box, but the Japanese international is unable to twist past Gouweleeuw to get a shot off.
56'
Augsburg remind Dortmund that they're still a threat on the counter-attack as Caiuby and Finnbogason run at the away side's defence, but the pass from the winger to the striker is a tad late as he's found offside.
54'
Ramos is having quite a difficult afternoon so far as he continues to waste possession with either a poor first touch or bad decision making. It's rather surprising Tuchel opted to stick with the South American this half.
52'
Dortmund are starting to take control of this half as they did the first by starving the home side of a touch of the ball. However, the European hangover is still present as they fail to craft chances.

Tuchel has come out to the edge of his technical area as he doesn't seem very pleased with how his side are performing. Possibly a tactical shift is on the horizon with Manninger still being unworked.
28'
Dortmund may be guilty of passing the ball around too much in this game so far. Without Aubameyang, BVB haven't been as penetrating as we're used to seeing.
26'
Rather alarmingly for the visitors, Dortmund are still yet to create anything noteworthy which has caused an issue for the Augsburg defence. Whilst having the possession, the away side haven't found their feet just yet.
24'

18'
So, Dortmund now have it all to do, but it's not stopped the travelling supporters from being in full voice. However, the visitors are going to have to show something else to break down Augsburg's packed defence.

A fantastic first time cross from Caiuby on the left side as he meets with a pass from Max allows Finnbogason to open the scoring at the back post.
GOAL! Augsburg take the lead through Finnbogason. A first time cross into the box is met at the back post by the striker as he peels off Hummels with ease to open the scoring in this match.
15'
One aspect of Dortmund's game which is clearly missing is the early ball down the channels for Aubameyang to chase with his pace. Whilst Ramos isn't a slow striker, his preferance to drop deep means BVB are having to change their play style.
13'
Dortmund are starting to take total command of this game, but Augsburg are frustrating the visitors enough to the point where Manninger has had a quiet afternoon so far.
11'
Panic stations for Augsburg temporarily as a poor pass from Manninger to Klavan almost presented the opportunity for Mkhitaryan to chase down the centre-back and send Ramos through on goal. However, the defender reacted well to the danger to hoof the ball clear.
9'
SAVE! The first shot on target comes from Augsburg as Caiuby rides a challenge to break through the Dortmund defence, but Burki reacts well to the shot to turn it over for a corner.
7'
It appears as if Augsburg have reasonable expectations from this match as they're set-up to frustrate Dortmund rather than combat them. The visitors are having to be patient in possession as they move the ball forward.
5'
A chance almost comes about for Dortmund as Durm beats Verhaegh to a loose ball on the left and clips a pass towards Reus. However, the winger is unable to connect with the effort as he tries to control the play.

Augsburg get the match underway!
Hello and welcome to the Bundesliga clash between Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund. We'll be guiding you through all the action as it happens at the WWK Arena.
Heading into this fixture on terrible form, Markus Weinzierl will be hoping his side can cause a shock by taking a point from Borussia Dortmund this afternoon following the visitors' match on Thursday night with Tottenham. However, with just one win in their last 11 competitive matches, it's difficult to see anything but a loss for the hosts.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS
On the flip slide, Dortmund have won six of their last nine away matches in the Bundesliga as they continue to hunt down Bayern Munich for the league title. Whilst the five point gap may prove too much for BVB, Thomas Tuchel must continue to install hope in his side and pray the Bavarians drop points.
Subs: Weidenfeller, Park, Ginter, Passlack, Castro, Leitner, Subotic.
The big change coming out of this match is that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has decided to sit out of the match to spend time with his family following the loss of his grandfather in midweek. Moreover, Tuchel has decided to make five other changes from the XI which eliminated Tottenham from the Europa League. Meanwhile, Augsburg have gone for four changes from their previous fixture, with three of them coming in defence and the other being Alex Manninger replacing Marwin Hitz between the sticks.
Not long until kick-off! The fans are in the stands, the atmosphere is building and the players are in the tunnel.
Half time at the WWK Arena and Augsburg go in level with Dortmund. Whilst the visitors have commanded the game, Weinzierl's side have defended excellently but just couldn't see out the first 45 minutes with their lead intact.
Full time at WWK Arena and Dortmund return north with the three points after commanding the match for extremely large spells. Whilst Augsburg looked as if they could nick something to start with, the quality of the visitors paid dividends in the second half.
That's all from us this evening. Thanks for joining us throughout this Bundesliga clash between Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund.
