Ronaldo fires another curling shot from the free-kick but once again it's poorly hit and fails to beat the wall of white shirts in front of him, resulting in the ball bouncing away from danger before the referee blows his whistle for the final time.
90' +4
A. Finnbogason gets yellow.
Portugal push forward on what will surely be their last attacking move of the game before Nani is clumsily fouled in the middle of the pitch, resulting in a late free-kick for Ronaldo 35 yards away from the Iceland goal. Ronaldo steps up and fires a shot straight into the wall, but it strikes the hard of Finnbogason and results in another free-kick 10 yards further forward.
90' +2
Quaresma darts down the right wing before being bundled over by Birkir Bjarnason, resulting in a late free-kick for Portugal in a very dangerous position. E. Bjarnason enters the game and replaces J. Guðmundsson.
Iceland have made a late change, with Elmar Bjarnason coming on to take the place of Gudmundsson for the final few minutes.
The fourth official has indicated that there will be three minutes of added time.
89'
Ball after ball is being flung into the Iceland penalty area, but Portugal just can't seem to find a way through the compact and well-organised back line that's camped diligently in front of them. This time it's Ronaldo who rushes towards a deep cross and ends up forcing Halldorsson into parrying the ball out of play, but the referee instead awards a free-kick to Iceland for a foul on the goalkeeper, much to the bemusement of the Real Madrid forward.
87'
And now Finnbogason goes close! The striker picks up the ball on the edge of the Portugal penalty area and twists and turns before trying to beat Patricio with a thumping shot, but it's sent too near to the goalkeeper, who does well to parry the effort up into the air before finally collecting the ball.
86'
Golden opportunity for Portugal! Nani sprints down the right flank before curling a beautiful cross into the heart of the Iceland penalty area, where it finds Ronaldo. He's completely unmarked and has a great chance to score what would surely be his side's winner, but he sends his header straight at Halldorsson, who is just about able to save the effort after initially spilling it.
85'
Good defending by Pepe! Ronaldo is dispossessed just outside of the Iceland penalty area, allowing Bodvarsson to kick-start a quick counter-attack. He darts down the right wing before sending an excellent pass into the feet of Finnbogason, who then cuts into the Portugal box and heads towards the near post. He tries to out-muscle Pepe but the centre-back comes out on top and does well to shepherd him out of play before he can get a shot away.
84'
Éder enters the game and replaces André Gomes.
Portugal have made their final substitution, with Gomes making way for Eder in an attacking move by Fernando Santos.
83'
What a chance for Pepe! Quaresma curls a lovely cross in from the resulting set-piece that finds the centre-back at the near post, but his close-range effort ends up flying just a yard or so over the top of the crossbar. That was a great opportunity for Portugal to go back in front!

With little under 10 minutes left to play, Iceland have made their first alteration of the night, with Finnbogason coming on to replace Sigthorsson in a straight swap up front.
79'
Quaresma goes close! The substitute makes a quick impact as he picks up the ball midway inside the Iceland half of the pitch and charges towards the penalty area before unleashing a thumping shot, but Halldorsson does well to push it round the near post and out for a corner.
78'
Almost a chance for Gudmundsson! Gunnarsson charges down the right wing on a marauding run before swinging a dangerous cross towards Sigthorsson. It's just about dealt with by Vieirinha, but his header can only find Gudmundsson on the edge of the box. However, just as he's about to shoot he ends up slipping and sends the ball bouncing into the feet of Danilo.
76'
Ricardo Quaresma enters the game and replaces João Mário.
Portugal have made their second change of the night, with Mario making way for Quaresma for the final quarter of an hour.
75'
Bodvarsson goes close again! Iceland win themselves a throw-in midway inside the Portugal half of the pitch down the left wing, and it's one that Gunnarsson sends flying into the left-hand side of the penalty area. Sigthorsson does well to rise high before heading the ball over towards Bodvarsson, but it ends up missing the head of his strike partner by the narrowest of margins.
74'
Big shout for handball! Bodvarsson and Gudmundsson link up wonderfully well deep down the right flank before the latter tries to flick a pass back to the striker. It deflects off the side of Guerreiro and the Iceland players immediately scream for a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area, but the referee waves away their protests and allows play to go on.
72'
So close from Nani! Ronaldo breaks forward towards the Iceland penalty area but is dragged to the ground by Skulason, resulting in a free-kick for Portugal in a very dangerous position. Guerreiro curls the set-piece into the middle of the box, where it finds Nani, but his flicked header ends up bouncing just an inch or two wide of the far post.
71'
Renato Sanches enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
Portugal have made their first substitution of the game, with Sanches coming on to replace Moutinho.
69'
After a nervy 15 minutes spent camped behind the ball, Iceland are finally able to push forward on a slow and patient attacking move. They work the ball around well before Skulason sends a lofted pass up towards Sigthorsson, but the striker is unable to make contact with it and loses out to Carvalho midway inside the Portugal half of the way.
67'
Great play by Mario! The midfielder darts down the left-hand side of the Iceland penalty area before firing a low cross into a dangerous position in the middle of the box, but Arnason does well to read the pass before booting the ball away from danger. Portugal are coming back at their opponents and are finding an increasing amount of joy in front of goal.
65'
Bodvarsson goes close! Bjarnason beats Vieirinha far too easily deep down the left wing before heading towards the edge of the Portugal penalty area. He then chips a dangerous cross into the heart of the penalty area, but it ends up missing the outstretched boot of Bodvarsson by the narrowest of margins before Patricio collects the ball inside the six-yard box.
63'
Nervy moments for Iceland! Vieirinha darts down the right wing and finds himself in plenty of space before sending a dangerous low cross into the heart of the penalty area, where Nani is waiting for the ball. He's almost able to make contact with it after an almighty battle, but Halldorsson is eventually able to deal with the danger after finding himself unable to get anywhere near the ball.
61'
Save by Halldorsson! Gomes twists and turns on the edge of the Iceland penalty area before finally getting a shot away, and it's one that the Iceland goalkeeper is just about able to tip round the near post. The resulting corner is taken quickly and sent straight to Moutinho, but the midfielder's first-time strike fails to take Halldorsson by surprise and is well saved.
59'
Not for the first time this evening, Sigurdsson and Guerreiro clash deep down the left wing, resulting in a free-kick for Portugal in a very dangerous position. A dangerous cross is flung into the middle of the penalty area and looks set to find Danilo, but Arnason is there to deal with the danger with a strong headed clearance.
57'
A half-hearted Iceland attack breaks down, allowing Portugal to break away on a quick counter-attack down the right wing. Mario flies forward on a marauding run before cutting a pass over to Ronaldo on the edge of the box, but his quick strike deflects off Saevarsson before bouncing out of play for a throw-in.
55'
B. Bjarnason gets yellow.
Bjarnason charges into Vieirinha and brings the full-back crashing to the ground with a hefty sliding challenge, resulting in a yellow card for the Iceland goalscorer.
54'
Portugal push plenty of bodies forward in attempt to find a second goal, but they're pushed back well by Iceland before a poor pass from Carvalho completely misses Guerreiro before rolling harmlessly out of play for a throw-in on the left flank.
52'
The Iceland fans are going crazy as they celebrate their first ever goal at a major international tournament, but Portugal are currently on the front foot once again as they desperately try to find a way back in front once again. However, Iceland are back to sitting deep inside their own half of the pitch and are doing well to keep their opponents at bay.
50'
B. Bjarnason has scored a goal for Iceland! Assist by J. Guðmundsson.
Poor goalkeeping from Halldorsson allows the ball to roll out for a Portugal corner, which is taken short before being whipped towards the near post. It's easily cut out by Sigthorsson but the striker's header ends up bouncing out to Vieirinha. However, the right-back sends a strange cross-cum-shot flying up into the air and out for an Iceland goal-kick.
GOAL! Iceland have equalised! Gudmundsson charges down the right wing and cuts inside before firing a deep cross over to the far post. Pepe and Vieirinha are at sixes and sevens and completely lose Bjarnason, who keeps his cool in front of goal before slotting a volleyed shot past Patricio and into the back of the net to make it 1-1. Game on!
Gudmundsson did wonderfully well to pick out Bjarnason with his swinging cross, but poor defending by Portugal has resulted in them losing a one-goal lead that looked very comfortable.
48'
Ronaldo almost makes it 2-0! A lofted pass towards the edge of the Iceland penalty area can only find Ragnar Sigurdsson, but the centre-back's attempted headed clearance ends up bouncing into the path of Ronaldo. He immediately unleashes a thumping half-volley from 25 yards out, but it ends up bouncing a few yards wide of the far post.
46'
And we're underway once again!
45'
Iceland are finally able to push out of their own half of the pitch and do well to earn themselves a throw-in deep down the left wing. Gunnarsson runs up and sends a long throw towards Sigthorsson at the near post, but the striker is easily beaten to the ball before Nani is clipped from behind as he tries to clear the danger near to the corner flag.
43'
Guerreiro twists and turns deep down the left wing before earning Portugal a throw-in, which is taken quickly before being worked over to Vieirinha. The full-back's cross into the box initially causes problems for Iceland before they temporarily clear the ball away from danger, but, once again, their opponents regain possession midway inside the Iceland half of the pitch.
41'
A careless pass from Skulason gifts possession straight back to Portugal after Iceland had initially won the ball back deep inside their own half of the pitch. Their opponents work the ball around nicely before another curling cross is sent into the penalty area, but this time Arnason is able to rise high enough to deal with the danger.
40'
Iceland win back the ball and earn themselves a throw-in near tot he halfway line, but it's quickly lost by Gylfi Sigurdsson and allows Portugal to break away on a blisteringly quick counter-attack. Mario darts through the middle of the pitch before working the ball out to Nani on the right flank, but the goalscorer's swinging cross is poor and sails straight into the hands of Halldorsson.
38'
Another good cross from Bjarnason penetrates the Portugal penalty area and this time results in Iceland's first corner of the game. It fails to result in a chance on goal but they win themselves a throw, which Gunnarsson plays off a Portugal defender and out for another corner, this time on the left wing. It's curled towards the near post by Gylfi Sigurdsson but Ronaldo is there to easily deal with the danger.
37'
Mario loses the ball near the halfway line and allows Bjarnason to pick up the ball before firing a low cross off Pepe and out for a throw-in. It's taken quickly and sent back to the winger, but he's unable to find Sigthorsson with his cross and Iceland have to start again halfway down the left flank.
35'
Iceland have started to push up the pitch ever so slightly as they look to avoid being pegged back by Portugal, who are continuing to boss possession as they search for a second goal before half-time.
33'
Portugal quickly win the ball back and win a free-kick on the left flank. Moutinho steps up and sends a dangerous cross over towards the far post, but Bjarnason is just about able to beat Guerreiro in the air before nodding the ball out for a corner. The resulting set-piece is just about dealt with by Iceland, but the ball bounces out to Gomes and the midfielder immediately unleashes a long-range strike that is deflected several yards over the top of the crossbar.
31'
Nani has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by André Gomes.
That was a lovely cross from Gomes to set up Nani but the Iceland defence really should have done better, as they fell asleep and failed to track his run down the right.
GOAL! Portugal have taken the lead! Vieirinha and Gomes link up wonderfully well just outside of the penalty area on the right wing to take Skulason out of the game, and the latter then whips a great low cross towards the near post, where it finds Nani. He isn't going to miss from there, and he's easily able to tap a first-time shot past Halldorsson and into the back of the net.
30'
A half-hearted Portugal attack breaks down, allowing Iceland to push forward on an attack of their own down the left flank. However, it quickly comes to an end and Pepe plays the ball back to Patricio, who then kick-starts yet another attack.
28'
It's been a tough opening half an hour for Iceland, who are firmly camped inside their own half of the pitch and are finding it very difficult to push forward. Both Sigthorsson and Bodvarsson have seen little of the ball, as Portugal are bossing possession and constantly pushing forward with intent.
26'
Poor miss by Ronaldo! Pepe heads towards the halfway line before firing a beautiful lofted pass over the top of the Iceland defence and into the path of the Real Madrid forward. He sticks out a foot and tries to fire a half-volley past Halldorsson, but he completely mistimes his shot and ends up missing the ball, which makes life easy for the goalkeeper.
25'
A dangerous lofted pass from the halfway line isn't dealt with well enough by Vieirinha and Pepe, both of whom hesitate and allow the ball to bounce. It allows Bjarnason to dart into the Portugal penalty area before trying to pick up the ball in a dangerous position, but instead he ends up shoving Pepe to the ground and gives away a free-kick.
23'
Portugal are getting closer to opening the scoring! Once again, a dangerous cross is curled into the Iceland box and causes plenty of problems for the two centre-backs. This time it's Ronaldo who darts between Ragnar Sigurdsson and Arnason before sending a header towards the top left-hand corner of the net, but it misses its intended target by three or four yards.
22'
Once again, good movement from Nani inside the Iceland penalty area allows him to send another headed effort towards goal, but this time his attempt has too much power behind it and ends up looping comfortably over the top of the crossbar.
20'
What a save by Halldorsson! A poor attempted headed clearance from Saevarsson allows Ronaldo to pick up the ball just outside of the penalty area before chipping a beautiful cross into the box. It finds Nani in the great position in front of goal, but his downwards header is parried away by the foot of Halldorsson.
18'
Portugal quickly win the ball back and push forward on yet another impressive attacking move. They work the ball around quickly before Vieirinha cuts inside from the right wing and beats his marker with ease before unleashing a rocket of a shot, but Halldorsson does well to parry the ball up into the air before collecting it with his second attempt.
17'
It's all Portugal as they boss possession deep inside the Iceland half of the pitch. The latter initially find it difficult to get anywhere near the ball due to impressive player from their opponents, but a slightly misplaced pass from Moutinho is eventually cut out by Saevarsson, who thumps a clearance up towards the halfway line.
15'
Mario embarks on a lovely run as he darts down the left flank before cutting inside and being tripped over from behind, resulting in a free-kick for Portugal. It's sent out to Vieirinha over on the right wing, but the full-back is unable to beat Skulason and sends his swinging cross flying off the left-back and out for a throw-in.
13'
Portugal patiently work their way towards the edge of the Iceland penalty area before Ronaldo finds himself in a pocket of space. He spins quickly and tries to unleash a 25-yard shot towards goal, but he ends up kicking the ground instead and sends the ball rolling harmlessly out of play.
11'
Danilo clatters into Gylfi Sigurdsson and fouls the Iceland midfielder in the centre of the pitch, resulting in a free-kick in an advantageous position. The Swansea man steps up and sends a lofted pass into the Portugal penalty area, but there's far too much power behind it and it ends up flying out of play for a goal-kick.
9'
Iceland move the ball around smartly inside the Portugal half of the pitch before Ragnar Sigurdsson attempts to launch a lofted pass up towards Sigthorsson on the edge of the penalty area, but it's poorly hit by the centre-back and misses the striker before sailing into the hands of Patricio.
7'
The second corner is thumped into the heart of the Iceland penalty area, but this time it's sent too near to Halldorsson and the on-loan Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper is easily able to cut out the danger under very little pressure from the Portugal players.
6'
Saevarsson falls asleep on the ball and has his pocket picked by Gomes, but he's just about able to rush back before conceding a corner. The set-piece is taken short before a cross is curled into the middle of the box, where Danilo sends a backwards header off Arnason and out for another corner.
5'
Portugal push their way down the right flank before earning themselves a free-kick in a dangerous position. Moutinho steps up and curls a looping cross right on to the head of Nani, but the forward's tame header is easily collected by Halldorsson.
4'
Early chance for Gylfi Sigurdsson! Iceland break away on a great counter-attack down the left wing, with the Swansea attacking midfielder embarking on a brilliant run forward before cutting inside. He beats Pepe with ease before unleashing a thumping shot, but Patricio parries the effort away before catching the Icelander's follow-up effort.
2'
Sloppy play in the middle of the pitch by Iceland allows Ronaldo to pick up the ball in a dangerous position, and he immediately embarks on a marauding run towards the penalty area before teeing up Nani. His fellow forward penetrates the box before trying to shoot, but Saevarsson is there to poke the ball out of his feet and back into the hands of Halldorsson.

And we're off! Iceland get us underway, attacking from left to right.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Euro 2016 group stage game between Portugal and Iceland at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
Portugal and Iceland are the final two sides to get their Euro 2016 campaigns underway, and they are both teams that could end up achieving plenty of success in this year’s competition. Portugal have been in impressive form under Fernando Santos, and that was evident during the qualifying campaign when, after losing their opening game against Albania, they won seven games in a row to finish top of their group, seven points clear of their nearest rivals.
Despite losing against 1-0 against Russia, Bulgaria and England, Portugal’s warm-up games have been a relatively positive experience, and they head into tonight’s clash with a 7-0 thrashing of minnows Estonia under their belts. They have also recently beaten both Norway and Belgium, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring in the latter contest as well as twice in nine minutes against the Blueshirts six days ago. The Real Madrid forward is set to make his 127th appearance for his country this evening, equaling the record that is currently held by Luis Figo.
As for Iceland, they are not only featuring in their first ever major international tournament but, with a population of only 330,000, are now the smallest nation to ever do so. The team, co-managed by both Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson, shocked everybody by qualifying for Euro 2016 ahead of both Turkey and the Netherlands, with the latter side losing twice against the Strakarnir Okkar to be unceremoniously dumped out of the tournament.
A tough and sturdy defence helped guide Iceland to France, and during qualifying they managed to keep six clean sheets thanks to their rigid and well-organised 4-4-2 formation. They have looked slightly less defensively assured in their warm-up games, however, conceding 19 goals in nine clashes, but they have certainly proven themselves to be a tough nut to crack and look set to make life difficult for an impressive Portugal side here today.
Meanwhile, Iceland bosses Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson have also made three alterations to the side that comfortably won 4-0 against Liechtenstein last week, with Sverrir Ingi Ingason, Arnor Ingvi Traustason and Finnbogason making way for Kari Arnason, Birkir Bjarnason and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.
Fernando Santos has decided to make three changes to the Portugal side that thrashed Estonia 7-0 in their final warm-up game, with Vieirinha, Ricardo Carvalho and Nani coming into the starting line-up to replace Cedric Soares, Jose Fonte and Ricardo Quaresma, respectively.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: PORTUGAL 1-0 ICELAND
It's been a tough opening 45 minutes for Iceland, who head into the half-time break a goal down after struggling to see much of the ball thus far. Portugal's dominance of the game has forced their opponents into sitting incredibly deep inside their own half of the pitch, and the lack of pressure being put on them has made life very easy for Fernando Santos' men. As a result, Iceland's strikers have barely touched the ball and have been on the periphery of the action, and that's something needs to change if they are going to have any chance of getting back into the game.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: PORTUGAL 1-1 ICELAND
The Iceland fans and players go crazy as they celebrate their first ever point at a major international tournament. It's well-deserved one as well, as they sat deep and defended diligently against a Portugal side that never seemed to be at their best. In the first half, they really struggled to find any joy inside their opponents' half of the pitch, but in the second they countered far better and started to cause Portugal plenty of problems, particularly down the right wing.
