WIDE OF THE MARK! Gylfi Sigurdsson lashes the ball into the wall, but Gudjohnsen attacks the loose ball, with his low shot deflected narrowly wide of the target. That's enough for the referee, who blows the final whistle.
90' +3
FREE-KICK FOR ICELAND. No more than a yard or two outside the area. A late, late chance for the Nordic side in what will surely be the last kick of the game, given how long it's taking to set this one up.
90' +1
Á. Nagy gets yellow.
Nagy takes out Saevarsson and is booked.
What is it about this tournament and late goals? Yet another strike in the final five minutes sees the result of a game altered. Into stoppage time now, is there time for someone to grab a winner?
89'
The Hungary fans can't help themselves in their jubilation, letting off a few pyrotechnics in the stands that sends a cloud of smoke drifting onto the pitch. Dzsudzsak urges them to calm down and be responsible for the time that remains.
88'
B. Sævarsson is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
87'
OWN GOAL! Hungary are back in it! The substitute Nikolics combines with two players in an excellent move that carves open the right flank, and his low ball across the face of goal is turned into the back of his own net by the unfortunate Saevarsson.
85'
Á. Szalai enters the game and replaces R. Juhász.
Sigborsson departs and on comes Eidur Gudjohnsen, the elder statesman of Icelandic football, and he hears it from the adoring crowd.
Juhasz, the centre-back is hauled off for Szalai, the attacker, as Hungary throw their hand on the table.
84'
E. Guðjohnsen enters the game and replaces K. Sigþórsson.
83'
L. Kleinheisler gets yellow.
The second half has been played almost exclusively in the Icelandic half. Less than 10 minutes to go now and they are hanging on for dear life. What a massive result this will be for them!
Silly challenge from Kleinheisler, who is shown a yellow card.
81'
T. Kádár gets yellow.
Ragnar Sigurdsson runs right into Gera, but the referee, after awarding two Hungary free-kicks in a row, decides to blow in the opposite direction, calling a foul in favour of the Nordic outfit.
Finnbogason buys a free-kick off Kadar after going to ground under minimal contact. Yellow card, which infuriates the full-back.
Minute
Description
79'
Terrible free-kick from Kleinheisler, who tries a short lay-off to the top of the box, but it's telegraphed too easily and is intercepted. Hungary starting to run out of time as the clock edges towards the 80-minute mark.
77'
B. Sævarsson gets yellow.
SAVED! Dzsudzsak takes charge of a free-kick from the edge of the area, and wraps his lef foot around it to send the ball on target, but Halldorsson positions himself well to make the catch.
Saevarsson is the latest player booked for another grim foul.
75'
A. Finnbogason gets yellow.
Hungary attack again, with Kleinheisler's corner causing problems, before Bode picks up the pieces at the top of the box, lashing an effort on target that is right down the throat of Halldorsson.
74'
Finnbogason tugs back Guzmics on a Hungary break, and gets booked. That's his second yellow of the tournament, meaning that he will be suspended for the Austria game.
73'
A dangerous cross from Hungary flies across the face of goal as Halldorsson comes for it but gets nowhere near making contact. Thankfully for him, a defender was there at the back post.
71'
Now then, which set of substitutions will settle faster into this match? Iceland are slowly abandoning their attacking ambition and digging their heels in defence, as Hungary continue to press forward.
69'
A. Finnbogason enters the game and replaces J. Böðvarsson.
Iceland pull the trigger on another change, with Bodvarsson making way for Finnbogason.
68'
DANGER AGAIN! Dzsudzsak takes a speculative free-kick from over 25 yards out, and it bounces right at Halldorsson, who spills it initially but smothers at the second attempt ahead of an attacker!
66'
E. Hallfreðsson enters the game and replaces A. Gunnarsson.
D. Böde enters the game and replaces T. Priskin.
N. Nikolić enters the game and replaces Z. Stieber.
CHANCE! Gera weaves his way into the area and cracks open a pocket of space. The ball is loose around the six-yard area and the crowd hold their breath, but Iceland get a boot to it first and lash it away.
Gunnarsson may have been struggling with a knock, and he departs for Halfredsson.
Priskin is the next player to make way, and Bode will get around 23 minutes of action.
65'
First of two changes for Hungary, as Nikolics comes in for Stieber.
64'
Priskin releases Stieber down the left-hand side, and he cuts onto his left foot to deliver an in-swinging cross that is headed away wth authority. Iceland are being aggressive in the right ways to get rid of danger.
62'
Looks like both managers are preparing their first changes of the evening. It's so close at the moment, with Hungary pushing forward in numbers, but Iceland just about holding firm.
60'
OFFSIDE! A free header for Iceland inside the area is sent wide of the mark, but the linseman made the right call. Still no reason for him to be left that wide open, knowing the Nordic team's capability from aerial situations.
58'
Kleinheisler misses the target again as Hungary continue to probe dangerously in the final third. It's opening up a few decent gaps for Iceland to exploit on the counter-attack however.
56'
Well that's something you're not likely to see again. Bodvarsson attacks a high ball with an overhead kick that sails well into the stands. The type of flair that you almost never associate with Iceland.
54'
Good decision to the referee to wave play on after Stieber backed into Arnason inside the area, falling to ground easily and looking for a penalty. Surprised he didn't get booked for simulation in that case.
52'
The second half has begun with the expected monopolisation of the ball by Hungary, who are already asking a few questions of the defence with two half-chances. How much will Iceland sit on this one-goal lead?
50'
Gunnarsson gives up a free-kick that's just outside of shooting range. Dzsudzsak executes a rehearsed routine to send the ball to the edge of the area for Kleinheisler, whose drilled shot is off the mark.
48'
Kadar bides his time before whipping in a great ball into the box that requires an even better header from Ragnar Sigurdsson, who does so under immense pressure from Priskin at the back post.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +1
Iceland are up in arms after what appeared to be two clear challenges from Hungary to stop surges forward. The referee, however, has allowed play to go on. He's already awarded two penalties in the Euros so far.
44'
For all of Hungary's possession and occasionally enterprising wing play, Halldorsson has not yet had a single save to make. Iceland, meanwhile, are playing with tons of momentum as the half draws to a close.
42'
J. Guðmundsson gets yellow.
Gudmundsson sticks his hand out to challenge Kadar for the ball and clearly catches the left-back in the face. You simply can't do that at this level and expect to get away with it. Yellow card.
41'
It was a set-piece that was the undoing of Hungary there, and Iceland will want to keep looking to the skies whenever they attack. They have the aerial and physical edge on their opponents.
39'
Penalty goal scored by G. Sigurðsson for Iceland!
LASHED IN! Gylfi Sigurdsson side-foots the ball into the bottom-left corner, with Kiraly diving the wrong way! The Iceland miracle continues as they've taken the lead!
PENALTY TO ICELAND! Kiraly is at fault, and he looks to the referee for protection that never came. He flaps at a corner, and in his haste to get to the ball, he takes out Ragnar Sigurdsson, which leads to the spot-kick!
38'
A good tempo developing to this game as we creep towards the half-time break. Decent openings at both ends, and we may well see a goal before long. Gylfi Sigurdsson pings a clever pass to Sigthorsson, whose shot is blocked!
37'
Kleinheisler takes a corner for Hungary, which is sent right back at him. He cuts inside and decides to have a whack, but doesn't wrap his foot around the ball enough, sending it the wrong side of the post.
36'
It's the other Sigurdsson, Ragnar, who makes an impact at the opposite end! He races to the back post to make a superb challenge on Priskin that cuts out what would have been a dangerous shot!
35'
Gylfi Sigurdsson has the ball at the top of the box, but Stieber is there for company, and sticks to the Swansea man well. However, he eventually shakes him off, but his shot is weak and doesn't even reach Kiraly.
33'
GREAT CHANCE! The first genuine opening of the way falls Iceland's way, as Gudmundsson plants his feet and out-muscles Kadar away with his body, before lashing a low shot that Kiraly parries!
31'
Almost everything for Hungary is running through Dzsudzsak, with the skipper leading another attack, flicking a pass into the area for Priskin, who wasn't on the same wavelength and goes in the opposite direction of the ball.
29'
Lang makes a concerted advance down the right-hand side, and flicks a clever pass to Dzsudzsak on that same flank, but his low, inswinging cross into the area is easily cleared away.
27'
Bodvarsson does well to bring down a long flick, and he lays the ball off to Sigurdsson, who then sprays it wide for Bjarnson, who can't get the burst of pace he needs to skip past Lang out on the left.
25'
Tremendous noise from the Iceland supporters, who send out some booming roars in unision in a bid to unsettle the opposition. There's an almost tribal quality about this team from their rudimentary but effective playing style to their crazed fans.
23'
Iceland are quite happy to pass the ball all the way back to Halldorsson in goal for a punt forward at the earliest sign of danger. It must be frustrating to play against if you're a Hungary player.
21'
Another threatening corner from Iceland causes momentary panic in the box, but Kadar comes up with an outstanding defensive header to get rid of the danger. Probably not the only time he'll have to do that this evening!
19'
Good counter from Hungary, as Stieber drives into space down the centre. He passes up a shot in favour of a ball out wide to Dzsudzsak, who cuts in onto his left peg to have another attempt, which is also deflected out for a corner.
17'
Dzsudzsak has been active out on the left-hand side in this game, and he drifts infield to have a go but his shot is blocked. Hungary continue to poke at the Iceland defence, trying to find a soft spot.
15'
Iceland could perhaps take a leaf out of Hungar's book in terms of their wide play. They're sitting deep as expected to soak up the pressure, but perhaps their wingers could be a little more proactive to stretch play on the counter when they do win the ball. So far, there's been no outlet to release.
13'
Hungary launch an attack down the flanks again and this time they come close to a breakthrough. Dzsudzsak hoists in an inviting ball, which Priskin gets his head to but he can't direct it on target.
11'
Hungary are dominating the ball as you would have expected, with over two-thirds of the possession so far. Good tempo to start this one with both teams showing plenty of energy, if not a whole lot of quality.
9'
Better from Iceland as from that failed corner, they take the throw very long, which is flicked to the back post where Bodvarsson is waiting to plant a header onto the roof of the net! Close call.
7'
First attack of note from Iceland and they win a corner. Sigurdsson whips in a dangerous delivery that was just begging for a touch, but no one accepted the invitation and it flies over to the other side.
5'
Hungary are keeping their wingers and full-backs pinned to the touchline, and endeavouring to get crosses in at every opportunity. Iceland have been aware of everything that they've tried so far though.
3'
Iceland forced to do some defending early on here as a cross comes in from the right-hand side that flashes menacingly in front of goal. The Nordic side were strong in the air against Portugal, so Hungary will have to do better than that.
1'
Off we go!
Hungary weren't fancied much against their neighbors Austria a few days ago, but pulled of a shock 2-0 win to take an early lead in the standings. Anything but a defeat this evening may possibly be enough for them to qualify, and they'll want to avoid having too much to do against Portugal in their final group game.
Iceland held Portugal and a bitter Cristiano Ronaldo to a 1-1 draw in their opening match, which gave them a point from arguably their toughest test of the group stages. - in their major tournament debut to boot. The Nordic side's fans have flocked to France, with over eight per cent of their entire population here at the Euros.
Hello and welcome to our live commentary of the Euro 2016 match between Iceland and Hungary in Group F. Both of these sides defied expectations with credible results in their opening games, and this evening represents a chance to get closer to the quarter-finals. Stick with us for every kick of the ball.
Iceland (4-4-2): Halldorsson; Saevarsson, R Sigurdsson, Arnason, Skulason; Gudmundsson, G Sigurdsson, Gunnarsson, Bjarnason; Sigthorsson, Bodvarsson.
Roland Juhasz replaces Attila Fiola for Hungary in defence, wth the latter picking up an injury. Zoltan Stieber's late clincher against Austria gives him the right to start today, but the same can't be said for the other goalscorer in that match, Adam Szalai, who will have to settle for a spot on the bench.
Iceland manager Lars Lageback unsurprisingly sticks with the same XI that did so well against Portugal, with Jon Dadi Bödvarsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson leading the line. Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson is in midfield as per usual and will be the creative hub of this team.
And that will do it for now from State Velodrome, with Iceland holding a 1-0 lead thanks to Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty. The Nordic side have been starved of possession but not of purpose, sticking to their gameplan and frustrating the living daylights out of Hungary. A lot to play for in the second half, so stay tuned.
A thrilling end to this game, as Iceland are pegged back very late on to play out their second 1-1 draw of the tournament. The Nordic side were resilient, but Hungary were even more persistent, and got what they wanted in the end. They lead the group with four points, with Iceland in second two points behind. That's all the time we've got, thanks for tuning in!
