Palace are putting in an expert performance in seeing this match out, right in line with how they have played all afternoon. Right from the off they seemed to have it all figured out in defence, and they've been able to keep that focus all the way through, even after falling behind 1-0.
90' +2
The first two minutes are plagued by an injury to Tomkins and a referee stoppage, as precious seconds continue to run off the clock. Palace are almost there - moments away from taking a massive step to pulling clear of the bottom-three.
90'
The fourth official raises his board to indicate there will be six minutes added on at the end of this match - the first thing Liverpool fans have had to cheer about all afternoon.
89'
M. Grujić gets yellow.
Grujic gets his name in the stats sheet, but not for the right reason as he's issued a yellow card soon after coming on.
88'
F. Campbell enters the game and replaces C. Benteke.
Benteke cherishes the long walk to the touchline, and savours every moment of it, wasting precious time as he gives way for Frazier Campbell.
86'
Liverpool are struggling mightily here. They've been unable to create much of anything all night, and now just keeping the ball in attack is proving problematic for them, while the tempo is completely gone from the match following the string of substitutions.
84'
M. Grujić enters the game and replaces N. Clyne.
Klopp's third change in five minutes as Clyne replaced by Marko Grujic.
83'
D. Delaney enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.
Palace use the stoppage to make their second swap as well, with Damien Delaney entering the fray at the expense of Cabaye.
82'
Alberto Moreno enters the game and replaces J. Milner.
Liverpool's second change sees Alberto Moreno replace Milner.
Minute
Description
81'
Defeat for Liverpool would leave them just two points up on Manchester City and three up on Manchester United, each of whom will have played two games fewer. Those clubs face each other in the Manchester Derby on Thursday, which is the silver lining for Liverpool, but defeat here would blow the top-four race wide open.
79'
T. Alexander-Arnold enters the game and replaces D. Lovren.
An attacking switch here for Liverpool, and a necessary one at that, as teenager Trent Arnold comes on to replace Lovren.
78'
P. van Aanholt enters the game and replaces W. Zaha.
Palace's first change sees Patrick van Aanholt come on to replace Zaha.
76'
STAT: Liverpool have lost just once in their last 24 Premier League games at Anfield (W15 D8).
74'
C. Benteke has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by J. Puncheon.
FROM BEHIND, PALACE LEAD! And it's that man, Benteke, again! A poor corner is played in by the visitors, but it skips by Firmino at the far post as the attacker fails to clear his lines, running kindly through for Benteke who tucks it in confidently! Muted celebrations from him against his former club, but you can see what it means to him!
Puncheon is credited with the assist as he's the one who took the corner.
72'
Anfield has grown frustrated and impatient, as have the Reds, which is playing right into the hands of Palace who will probably be sensing the opportunity to go on and win this thing in the final 20 minutes.
70'
Liverpool's inability to create seems to be spurred on by their impatience in possession. They aren't willing to slowly work the ball around in attack and wait for Palace to break their shape, instead trying to get forward quickly, which is playing right into the Eagles' hands.
68'
Liverpool are up close to 500 completed passes, with Palace labouring to make it to 200. Those stats are far from telling, however, as it's Palace who will be far more pleased with their performance thus far and the result. Liverpool's 500 passes have hardly resulted in a chance from open play.
66'
This second half has been rather dire and there are no signs of it coming to life in the final 25 minutes. That's what Palace will want, of course, so the responsibility falls to Liverpool to try and change that.
64'
STAT: Roberto Firmino has scored in his last two Premier League games against the Eagles, with the goals coming in the 71st and 72nd minutes.
62'
Changes certainly must be imminent, one would have to imagine, for Liverpool especially. Klopp surely will be pondering the idea of moving Firmino into a more central role, as Origi has hardly been able to factor into the match. Liverpool's bench tonight is relatively youthful, so he may bide his time before dipping into it.
60'
L. Milivojević gets yellow.
Milivojevic arrives late and trips up Can rather cynically, showing no remorse as he's shown yellow.
58'
That's more like it! Firmino is onside as Lucas springs him with an incisive throughball, but Hennessey spots it right away and manages to burst off his line and collect just in the nick of time! Liverpool need more of that.
56'
The tempo has struggled to find consistency in this match. There are spells of good, encouraging attacking play, but they're often short and sandwiched between long spells of nothing.
54'
STAT: Crystal Palace have won on their last two visits to Anfield in the Premier League. The last team to win three in a row there were Chelsea in October 2005.
52'
UNBELIEVABLE RUN! Simply sensational from Coutinho to skip past Puncheon, nutmeg Ward and nudge the ball beyond Kelly to tee himself up for a shot from eight yards, but his effort is blocked from point-blank range!
50'
Coutinho lashes a shot wildly over the bar, but that's better from Liverpool as they show signs of life in attack. Hennessey has really had nothing to do since Coutinho's opener in the 24th minute - that's simply not good enough.
48'
Lively start to this second half, as Palace have a spring in their step. The visitors seem encouraged by their late equaliser in the first half, as momentum is very much on their side at the moment. Liverpool have to be better if they are to push on and win this thing.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 1-1 CRYSTAL PALACE.
45'
Benteke manages another shot, though this one significantly tamer and easy for Mignolet, as the board goes up to indicate an additional two minutes of stoppage-time.
43'
STAT: Former Liverpool player Christian Benteke has now scored four goals in his three previous Premier League games at Anfield as an opposition player.
42'
C. Benteke has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by Y. Cabaye.
Cabaye provides the assist.
PARITY RESTORED AT ANFIELD! Ward and Cabaye link-up craftily on the right flank and the Frenchman picks out a delightful cross for Benteke, who got behind his marker to smash home a first-time finish from close range! From nothing, Palace have the equaliser!
40'
C. Benteke gets yellow.
Benteke becomes the first player booked on the night, following a foul on Lovren.
38'
WHAT WAS HE DOING?! Lovely one-two on the left between Wijnaldum and Milner, with the former bursting into the area and squaring for Can. The midfielder has the goal at his mercy from 12 yards, but snatches at the shot and scuffs an effort laughably wide of the target!
36'
Palace are showing the greater urgency here as we enter the final 10 minutes of the first half. Too much time is elapsing now between Liverpool's attacks, which has allowed Palace to generate some momentum after Coutinho's goal really took the wind out of their sails.
34'
Better! That all stemmed from a good run from Zaha out wide, something Palace have had little of thus far. They win a corner and the pressure stays on following the initial delivery, but Puncheon's eventual header is straight into the waiting arms of Mignolet.
32'
Palace are having next to no success trying to orchestrate an opening in attack. They don't have nearly enough width about them going forward, which has made life relatively easy on this Liverpool defence.
30'
It has already opened up a fair bit here, with Palace committing more bodies forward than they have previously, and it leads to a good spell in attack for Liverpool as they exploit the newfound space available to them on the break.
28'
STAT: Sam Allardyce has never won a Premier League game at Anfield as a manager (D3 L10). The only away ground he’s lost at as many times is Old Trafford (also 10).
26'
That goal should go a long way to opening things up here at Anfield. Palace cannot afford to simply just sit back and defend now. They will have to loosen things up, which should really help the tempo of the match from a neutral perspective.
24'
Philippe Coutinho has scored a goal for Liverpool!
STUNNER! ABSOLUTE STUNNER! Well it was going to take something special for Liverpool to find the breakthrough, and that's about as special as it gets! Coutinho bends a sensational free-kick over the wall and back towards the near post, where it just sneaks in beyond a despairing Hennessey! That's a work of art!
23'
Count them: nine players in defence for Palace as Liverpool get into the final third, almost all of them level with or in the penalty area. It's going to take something special from the Reds to pry themselves an opening - though they certainly have the creative types capable of pulling it off.
21'
DECENT EFFORT! Well you know Benteke would love to bag himself a goal today! The striker shows great skill and strength to get beyond Lucas, with plenty of green grass in front of him. He approaches the top of the box and tries to bend on in at the far post, but his effort drifts just wide of the mark!
19'
Liverpool are facing a sea of yellow every time they get into the final third. They're enjoying plenty of possession high up the pitch, but it's all been very innocent from them, largely due to the strong work being put in by the visitors in defence.
17'
STAT: Only Spurs (18) and opponents Liverpool (14) have won more points across their last six Premier League games than Palace (13).
15'
Both these teams are capable of scoring in bunches, but this start from Palace is indicative of a different sort of match than what would have perhaps been expected. Palace are packing bodies back in defence, basically telling Liverpool to try and break them down - which suggests we are in for a match a bit cagier in nature.
13'
Puncheon is warned by the referee following a late and painful challenge on Firmino. The visitors are struggling to win the ball back, and when they do, keeping it is proving a whole other issue.
11'
Nice work from Wijnaldum on the left as he does well to turn his man and cut inside on his right, but he passes up the chance at a shot, instead trying to thread a ball through for Fimino which never comes to fruition. Still, it earns a nice applause from these Anfield fans.
9'
Palace have been far from sharp in the early stages, still trying to get into a rhythm. They have not looked very adventurous in possession, though have managed to tighten up at the back and make Liverpool work hard for an opening, which the hosts have yet to be able to do.
7'
STAT: Liverpool have won their last two Premier League games against Palace, after going four without a victory against them (D1 L3).
5'
Liverpool have started positively, showing good intent on the front foot as they get forward encouragingly and deliver some enticing crosses into the area. The hosts are enjoying plenty of possession on this sunny Sunday afternoon.
3'
The pressure on both these sides has increased in the past 24 hours with Hull City, Swansea and Manchester United all winning this weekend. These clubs do not know where they will end up in a month's time, but three points today would be a massive step for them in the right direction.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Crystal Palace in yellow as they get the match underway, attacking left to right, with Liverpool in red.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from Anfield as Liverpool host Crystal Palace in a battle of two of the Premier League’s most in-form teams!
Liverpool, unbeaten in seven in the Premier League, have a battle on their hands over the final five games of the season to fend off the two Manchester clubs and keep their place in the top-three, which of course comes with automatic qualification to next season’s Champions League.
The good news for the Reds is four of their final five matches comes against teams in the bottom half of the table, with the lone exception being a home fixture against ninth-place Southampton – a very negotiable fixture list for Jurgen Klopp and company.
While the difference between them and Crystal Palace in the table is rather large, today’s fixture is far trickier than it appears. Sam Allardyce has the Eagles firing on all cylinders once again, winning five of their last seven in the league.
Despite their recent good run of form, Palace have yet to pull comfortably clear of the relegation zone, just four points up on Swansea, whose victory on Saturday keeps the pressure on – and trips to Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as a home date with Tottenham, certainly complicate matters.
SUBS: Van Aanholt, Sako, Speroni, Flamini, Campbell, Delaney, McArthur.
Jurgen Klopp names an unchanged side from last weekend's victory at West Brom. Joel Matip and Lucas Leiva were doubts, but they keep their place in the side despite not being able to train all week because of minor injuries.
Sam Allardyce makes one change from last weekend's draw against Leicester. James Tomkins comes in to partner Martin Kelly in defence, replacing Mamadou Sakho, who is ineligible to face his parent club.
Philippe Coutinho's magnificent free-kick put Liverpool ahead at the midway point of the first half, and it was looking like staying that way into the break until a Christian Benteke strike in the final minutes pulled Palace level heading into the interval. Chances have been few and far between through 45 minutes, but it's wonderfully poised in advance of the second half.
That's all for our live coverage from Anfield, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
Christian Benteke's double against his former club sees Crystal Palace come from behind to win their third successive match at Anfield, the first team to do so since Chelsea in 2005, as they take a massive step towards securing their place in the top-flight, while blowing the top-four race wide open.
