GOAL! What a strike by El Shaarawy! The former Milan man is left in a pocket of space on the edge of the penalty area and quickly unleashes a beautiful curling strike that flies past the outstretched limbs of Donnarumma and into the top right-hand corner of the net. It's advantage Roma once again!

We're off!
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Serie A game between AC Milan and Roma at San Siro.
With a fascinating season quickly coming to an end, both Milan and Roma are desperately battling with very specific opponents. For the Rossoneri, it’s their fierce rivals Inter, who, due to their shock defeat away to Genoa earlier today, sit three points behind. The Giallorossi, meanwhile, are locked in a fierce fight with Napoli, from whom they can snatch second place if they’re victorious here this evening.
After enjoying a good run of six wins from nine games, it’s been a tough few weeks for a tiring Milan side. They scraped a last-minute draw in the Derby della Madonnina before losing to Empoli and being held to a stalemate away to Crotone, all but ending their chances of catching Atalanta. Thankfully for them, Inter have been in equally poor form recently, but, with time fast running out, they can’t afford another poor performance today.
Five victories in their last seven Serie A outings should be cause for celebration for Roma, but Sunday’s derby defeat against Lazio means that all is not well in the Italian capital. The loss against their bitter rivals was a huge setback in their bid to finish in second place for a third time in four seasons, and they desperately need to win this evening if they’re to keep the pressure firmly on Napoli, who are unbeaten in nine games thanks to yesterday’s victory at home to Cagliari.
Recent meetings between these two sides have been tight and nervy affairs, with Roma tending to get the better of their opponents since establishing themselves as a top three side in recent years. December’s meeting at the Stadio Olimpico ended in a 1-0 win thanks to a second-half Radja Nainggolan goal, meaning that Milan have only managed to win once in their last nine games against the Giallorossi.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Milan XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; De Sciglio, Zapata, Paletta, Vangioni; Pasalic, Sosa, Fernandez; Suso, Lapadula, Deulofeu.
Roma substitutes: Grenier, Totti, Bruno Peres, Vermaelen, Lobont, Alisson, Mario Rui, Gerson, El Shaarawy.
Roma XI (4-2-3-1): Szczesny; Emerson, Manolas, Fazio, Juan Jesus; Paredes, De Rossi; Salah, Nainggolan, Perotti; Dzeko.
Milan substitutes: Honda, Ocampos, Gomez, Montolivo, Storari, Plizzari, Gabbia, Cutrone, Bacca, Locatelli, Bertolacci, Calabria.
Vincenzo Montella has decided to make three changes to the Milan side that started the draw against Crotone, with Mattia De Sciglio, Mario Pasalic and Jose Sosa coming into the starting line-up to replace Davide Calabria, Juraj Kucka and Manuel Locatelli, respectively.
Meanwhile, Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has also made three alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Antonio Rudiger, Kevin Strootman and Stephan El Shaarawy making way for Juan Jesus, Leandro Paredes and Diego Perotti.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: MILAN 0-2 ROMA
So far, so good for Roma, who have dominated the game thus far and deservedly head into the half-time break with a two-goal lead. They've continuously caused problems for Milan on the break, with the home side really struggling to deal with Salah and Perotti down the wings. At the other end of the pitch, their defence has remained firm, but they've had very little to deal with due to the Rossoneri's struggles in and around the penalty area.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: MILAN 1-4 ROMA
Boos and whistles ring around the stadium as the referee brings an end to what has been a terrible evening for the home side. They went behind early on and never looked like recovering from such a poor start, as Roma were excellent from start to finish. They gave themselves a bit of hope when Pasalic headed in from close range, but their joy would be short lived as the Giallorossi tore them apart on two more occasions.
