Genoa are presented with one final opportunity to push forward after an attempted Milan attacking move fails to come to anything, but they're unable to do so quickly enough and the referee ends up blowing his whistle for the final time.
90' +2
Three crosses are fired into the middle of the Milan penalty area in quick succession as Genoa try to find some late joy, but all are dealt with well by Romagnoli before the ball is eventually blasted away from danger by Rodriguez.
90'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be three minutes of added time.
89'
Milan break forward once again as they desperately try to break down Genoa's stubborn back line. Sloppy play by the visitors allows Cutrone to get a shot away from inside the box, but it's closed down by a sea of white shirts and deflects behind for a corner that fails to result in a chance on goal.
88'
More good play by Suso sees him break into the right-hand side of the Genoa penalty area and cross, but the pass across the face of goal is brilliantly blocked and results in a goal-kick for the visitors after taking a slight deflection off the Spaniard's leg.
87'
Suso quickly cuts inside from the right flank and tries to pick out Borini with a through-ball towards the near post, but it's slightly overhit and rolls behind before the Italian can get a shot away.
86'
Once again, Genoa make life difficult for the home side as they continue trying to find a late goal. This time it's Lapadula who swings in a cross that almost finds Laxalt, but the Uruguayan can't quite meet the ball at the far post and Milan are able to hold on.
84'
P. Cutrone enters the game and replaces N. Kalinić.
Kalinic is booed off the pitch as he's replaced by Patrick Cutrone for the final six minutes of the game. It's certainly been a tough afternoon for the Croatian.
83'
And now Taarabt goes close! A lovely cross curls into the middle of the box and picks out Taarabt, who pulls off a great diving header that ends up looping just over the top of the crossbar. Genoa are certainly doing well when presented with chances to counter-attack.
82'
Vital tackle by Zapata! Lapadula somehow manages to break through the middle of the Milan defence and storm towards the hosts' penalty area. He's all alone and only has Donnarumma to beat, but his lack of pace lets him down and Zapata is able to get back to deal with the danger.

Description
80'
Huge chance for Borini! Once again, Milan cause plenty of problems for the visitors' back line as they break forward on another dangerous attack. This time it's Borini who is set up with an opportunity to shoot from inside the box, but his first effort is blocked before he totally misses the ball with the second.
79'
Kessie picks up the ball over on the right wing and quickly darts down the flank. He then tries to pick out Kalinic with a quick pass into the Genoa penalty area, but the striker can't quite reach it and loses out before he can shoot.
77'
F. Ricci enters the game and replaces L. Rigoni.
Genoa have made their final alteration of the afternoon, with Federico Ricci coming on to replace Rigoni.
75'
So close to an opener for Milan! Another delightful cross into the Genoa box from Suso looks set to pick out Kalinic in front of goal, but the former Fiorentina striker can't quite reach it and the ball ends up bouncing agonisingly wide of the far post. The Rossoneri are getting closer...
73'
Suso has been Milan's best player this afternoon, and he's starting to find a bit more joy over on the right wing. This time he's able to carve out a pocket of space for himself before swinging a cross into the middle of the box, where Kalinic tries to latch onto it but is beaten by the head of Izzo.
71'
Lapadula is clattered into by a reckless sliding challenge from Zapata, resulting in a free-kick for Genoa over on the left wing. They decide not to lump the ball into the box and instead send it short, but they're unable to find a way through the sea of red and black shirts in front of them and eventually lose possession.
69'
Great save by Donnarumma! A beautiful pass from Taarabt splits the Genoa back line in two and finds Lapadula all alone in front of goal, but the striker's first-time shot is brilliantly saved by Donnarumma before the linesman's flag is eventually raised.
68'
Slightly sloppy play from the visitors deep inside their own half of the pitch allows Borini to quickly cut inside and shoot from 20 yards out, but his low effort is scuffed and fails to cause any problems for Perin.
67'
D. Calabria enters the game and replaces G. Bonaventura.
Milan have made their second change of the game, with Bonaventura making way for Davide Calabria. This switch should allow Borini to push further up the pitch.
65'
Kessie goes close! After dealing with the Genoa corner, Milan immediately break forward on a quick counter-attack down the right flank. Kessie storms down the wing and cuts towards the box before shooting, but his low strike smashes into the side-netting after beating Perin. That's more like it from the hosts!
64'
A good cross in from Lazovic is just about dealt with by Rodriguez, who nods the ball behind for a corner. The resulting set-piece is then curled towards the near post, where Bonaventura gets a head on the ball first and clears the danger without too many problems.
63'
More good play from Taarabt sees him penentrate the Milan penalty area with a clever through-ball. Lapadula tries his hardest to latch onto it, but he's beaten to the pass by Zapata and ends up tripping the centre-back from behind, resulting a free-kick for the home side.
61'
A. Taarabt gets yellow.
Milan are comfortably able to deal with the corner before Bonaventura tries to counter-attack quickly, but he's chopped down by a mistimed sliding challenge from Taarabt that earns the Moroccan a booking.
60'
Not far away by Miguel Veloso! Taarabt breaks into the right-hand side of the Milan box and quickly tries to tee up Lapadula, but he's unable to do so and has to hold onto the ball. He then spins and finds Veloso, who immediately fires a deflected strike just wide of the near post and behind for a corner.
58'
A Milan free-kick over on the right wing fails to result in a chance on goal, allowing Genoa to counter-attack quickly. Lazovic initially does well to sprint deep into the hosts' half of the pitch before working the ball over to the opposite wing, where the visitors have to settle for a throw-in after being closed down well by the Rossoneri defence.
56'
What a strike by Andrea Bertolacci! A loose ball somehow manages to roll over to Bertolacci on the edge of the Milan box, and the midfielder almost opens the scoring against his former club with an excellent curling shot that sails just over the top of the crossbar.
54'
Almost another good opportunity for Kalinic! Great play from Suso sets up the Spaniard to tee up Kalinic on the edge of the Genoa penalty area with a clever pass, but the striker can't get his feet sorted in time and ends up knocking the ball into the hands of Perin before he can shoot.
52'
G. Lapadula enters the game and replaces A. Galabinov.
D. Lazović enters the game and replaces A. Rosi.
Genoa have decided to make a double substitution as they try to find a way in front. The first player to come on is Darko Lazovic, who takes the place of the limping Rosi.
Meanwhile, former Milan man Gianluca Lapadula receives a warm round of applause from the home fans as he takes the place of Galabinov up front.
51'
Borini is the latest player to receive an arm to the face after being caught by Rosi as they battled for the ball deep down the right flank. It was a slightly naughty strike out by the Genoa wing-back, but the referee didn't seem to see it.
49'
Almost a great chance for Kalinic! Bonaventura finally finds some joy out wide as he beats his marker and fires a low cross into the middle of the Genoa penalty area. It looks set to find Kalinic in front of goal, but Rossetini is just about able to get to the ball ahead of the striker.
47'
A good run from Laxalt over on the left wing sees him spin round Borini and sprint towards the edge of the Milan penalty area. He then chips a dangerous cross into the box, where Galabinov tries to latch onto the ball but can't quite meet it.
46'
We're underway once again!
45' +3
Milan try to push forward on one final attack as they attempt to find a way in front just before the half-time break, but Kessie's cross in from the right flank is poorly hit and sails behind for a goal-kick. That rather sums up the Rossoneri's afternoon so far.
45' +2
Excellent opportunity for Rigoni! A lovely, curling cross from Adel Taarabt sails into the middle of the Milan box and perfectly picks out Rigoni, who easily beats Borini before forcing Donnarumma into a smart save with his bullet header.
45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be three minutes of added time.
44'
Poor from Bonaventura! It hasn't been the best of first halves for Bonaventura, who has struggled to find much joy in advanced areas of the pitch. This time he tries to beat Perin with a thumping strike from 25 yards out, but it's woefully hit and flies nearer to the corner flag than the goal.
43'
Almost a great chance for Luca Rigoni! Genoa keep putting pressure on the home side and do well to win themselves a throw-in over on the left flank. It's sent short and worked over to Laxalt, who then picks out Rigoni with a clever cross into the heart of the box. The forward looks set to get a shot away, but a slight touch from Rodriguez denies him the opportunity to do so.
42'
The visitors are starting to cause more problems for Milan defensively as they begin to find some joy going forward. This time it's Rosi who gets himself into a good position out wide before firing a dangerous cross into the penalty area, where Gianluigi Donnarumma is just about able to meet the ball ahead of Galabinov.
41'
Genoa are able to push forward on a rare foray into the Milan half of the pitch after space opens up over on the right flank. Armando Izzo darts down the wing and tries to pick out Laxalt with a deep cross over to the far post, but it's slightly overhit and fails to find the wing-back.
40'
It's Bonaventura who steps up and curls a cross into the Genoa box from the set-piece, but it's underhit by the midfielder and, once again, the visitors are easily able to deal with the limited danger.
39'
E. Zukanović gets yellow.
Borini does well to evade a challenge from Laxalt before being clattered into by Zukanovic, leaving the referee with no choice but to show the Bosnian a yellow card before awarding Milan a free-kick in a promising position over on the right wing.
38'
It's continuing to be a really tough afternoon for Milan, who are still seeing plenty of the ball, despite being a man down, but are struggling to do much with it. The home fans are getting increasingly frustrated with what they're seeing, as their side are failing to cause many problems for the Genoa back line.
36'
Suso is hacked down by an outstretched leg from Laxalt as he tries to cut inside from the right wing, and Milan are awarded a free-kick in a promising position. The Spaniard steps up and swings a dangerous cross into the middle of the penalty area, where Kalinic rises high but can't quite meet the ball in front of goal.
34'
Franck Kessie charges down the right flank and then tries to swing a low cross into the box, but it's well closed down and deflected behind for a corner. The set-piece is curled towards the near post and manages to find Zapata, but the defender can't make decent contact with the ball and sends it away from goal with a glancing header.
32'
Rodriguez is the latest Milan player to get a shot away from distance after failing to find a way through the Genoa back line, but his low effort is just as poor as Bonaventura's and is easily dealt with by Perin.
30'
Milan patiently work the ball around inside the Genoa half of the pitch before Bonaventura eventually shoots from 25 yards out. The midfielder's low strike isn't a particularly good one though, and it rolls into the hands of Perin in the middle of the goal.
28'
It looks as if Milan have switched to a flat back four now that Bonucci is off the pitch. Genoa are currently seeing plenty of the ball as they try to make their numerical advantage count, and they'll be hoping they can find more joy in front of goal after a slightly underwhelming opening half an hour.
26'
A. Romagnoli enters the game and replaces H. Çalhanoğlu.
After plenty of arguing from the Milan players, Bonucci eventually makes his way off the pitch and down the tunnel. It's Calhanoglu who has been sacrificed for Alessio Romangoli, who will slot into the home side's back line.
25'
L. Bonucci goes off after a red card!
RED CARD! Things have gone from bad to worse, as Bonucci has been shown a straight red card for the flailing arm that caught Rosi. He can't have any complaints, as caught the wing-back with a really nasty elbow.
24'
Rosi is still on the ground inside the Genoa penalty area while the medical staff treat a nasty cut on the side of the wing-back's head. The referee is going to take a look at the VAR, and this could end up in Bonucci receiving his marching orders. The elbow from the centre-back certainly was a nasty one...
22'
Bonaventura is clumsily fouled by Aleandro Rosi as he storms down the left wing, resulting in a free-kick for Milan in a promising position out wide. Calhanoglu's ball into the box is an impressive one, but the referee's whistle is immediately blown after Rosi goes down inside the penalty area. He looked to receive a flailing arm in the side of the face from Leonardo Bonucci, leaving him in a heap on the floor.
20'
A few groans ring around the stadium as another Milan attacking move comes to a disappointing end. This time it's Biglia who receives the ball in a promising position on the edge of the penalty area and quickly tries to tee up Bonaventura, but his cross is overhit and sails straight into Perin's hands.
18'
Vital interception by Luca Rossettini! Suso dances his way into the right-hand side of the Genoa box on a wonderful run as he heads towards the byline. He then cuts a clever pass back towards Kalinic that looks set to find the Croatian in front of goal, but Rossettini is just about able to cut out the danger with an excellent block.
17'
This time it's Genoa's turn to counter-attack, and Andrey Galabinovic, who has barely seen the ball so far, does really well to out-muscle two Milan defenders before firing a deflected shot behind for a corner. The set-piece is fired towards the edge of the box and picks out Ervin Zukanovic, who immediately unleashes a first-time volley that flies well wide of its intended target.
15'
Another attempted Genoa attack fails to result in anything, and Milan are able to hit their visitors on a quick counter-attack through Calhanoglu. The midfielder charges through the middle of the pitch and does well to reach the final third, but he's then closed down by a sea of defenders and can't quite penetrate the penalty area.
13'
Milan move the ball from one flank to the other as they try to find a way through the sea of white shirts camped in front of them. They're unable to do so and Rodriguez eventually decides to shoot from 30 yards out, but his audacious effort is poorly hit and sails high and wide of the goal.
11'
After a decent start to the game from the home side, they take their foot off the pedal ever so slightly and allow Genoa to push forward. Diego Laxalt tries to find some joy down the left wing after initially managing to skip past one tackle, but he's eventually closed down and Milan win back possession.
9'
Space opens up for Suso in the middle of the pitch after Genoa's first attempted attacking move fails to result in a chance on goal, but a misplaced pass from the Spaniard rolls well wide of Ricardo Rodriguez and out for a throw-in.
7'
The resulting set-piece is a dangerous one and eventually manages to find its way over to Cristian Zapata at the far post, but the defender can't quite make decent contact with the ball and sends his downward header straight into the hands of Perin.
6'
Decent save by Mattia Perin! More good play by the home side sets up Fabio Borini to get a shot away from the edge of the visitors' box, and Perin gets down quickly to save the low effort at the near post and tip it behind for a corner.
5'
And now Lucas Biglia goes close! Another curling cross penetrates the Genoa penalty area and picks out Nikola Kalinic in a promising position. The striker quickly knocks the ball down to Biglia, who shoots but sends his first-time strike well wide of the goal.
3'
Early chance for Hakan Calhanoglu! Suso twists and turns deep down the right wing before spinning and teeing up Giacomo Bonaventura. The midfielder immediately swings a wonderful cross into the heart of the penalty area that picks out Calhanoglu, but the Turkey international can't quite hit the target with his looping header.

We're off! Milan get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Serie A game between AC Milan and Genoa at San Siro.
Even at this early stage of the season, there’s no doubting that Milan are in crisis. Vincenzo Montella’s future at the club is up in the air after suffering three consecutive Serie A defeats, and his team were booed off the pitch at the end of Thursday’s lacklustre draw with AEK. Only 17,000 fans turned up for that clash, showing just how frustrated many Rossoneri supporters have become with their club’s underwhelming start to the season.
Milan spent lavish sums of money during the summer in an attempt to revitalise a struggling squad, and while the team now at Montella’s disposal is much stronger than last season’s, they are yet to find their rhythm. Playing like a collection of individuals rather than a well-oiled machine has left them in a disappointing 10th place, with a staggering 11 points already separating themselves and rivals Inter.
It’s been a similarly tough start to the season for Genoa, although it was largely to be expected after their struggles last year. Ivan Juric is in danger of losing his job for the second time in little over eight months if results don’t soon improve, as a record of just five points from eight games has left the Grifone equal on points with second-bottom Sassuolo just outside of the relegation zone.
Games between these two sides have been surprisingly tight affairs in recent years, with Genoa enjoying plenty of positive results when taking on the Rossoneri. Milan narrowly won 1-0 when the two teams last met back in March, but their opponents have come away with victories from four of the last six meetings and could cause further problems for today’s hosts if they’re at their best.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Milan substitutes: Calabria, Mauri, Silva, Romagnoli, Gomez, Montolivo, Abate, Musacchio, Storari, Cutrone, Locatelli, Antonio Donnarumma.
Milan XI (3-4-1-2): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Zapata, Bonucci, Rodriguez; Borini, Kessie, Biglia, Bonaventura; Calhanoglu; Suso, Kalinic.
Vincenzo Montella has decided to make three changes to the Milan side that started the derby defeat against Inter last weekend, with Cristian Zapata, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nikola Kalinic coming into the starting line-up to replace Mateo Musacchio, Andrea Romagnoli and Andre Silva, respectively.
Meanwhile, Genoa boss Ivan Juric has named an unchanged side to the one that featured in their last outing, with Andrey Galabinov once again leading the line with Adel Taarabt and Luca Rigoni either side of him.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: MILAN 0-0 GENOA
A few boos ring around the stadium as the two sides make their way off the pitch, and it's no wonder why. Milan have been poor so far and have struggled to find much joy inside the final third of the pitch, where Genoa have sat back and defended admirably. More worryingly, the visitors have started to cause a few problems on the break, and that could continue to be the case after the break if the Rossoneri aren't able to sort themselves out defensively.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: MILAN 0-0 GENOA
Boos and whistles ring around San Siro as the two sets of players make their way off the pitch. It was another poor day for Milan, whose tough task was made even more difficult by the red card given to Bonucci midway through the first half. From then onwards, it was a struggle for the Rossoneri, who enjoyed a few good moments through Suso but were largely unimpressive up front.
