Tonight's clash at the Stade de La Licorne promises to be an interesting encounter with goals expected due to the contrasting form. Amiens have won just one of their last five games, while PSG have won their last five matches.
Amiens lost their last encounter 6-0 to Sochaux in the Coupe de France, while PSG hammered Rennes 6-1 in the same competition.
These two sides have only met on two occasions in the past and PSG have won both of them. They were victorious in 2008 and they won the first Ligue 1 meeting this season 2-0.
PSG Starting XI (4-3-3): Trapp, Meunier, Marquinhos, Silva, Yuri, Verratti, Rabiot, Draxler, Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar.
PSG SUBS: Areola, Kurzawa, Kimpembe, Lo Celso, N'Soki, Alves, Nkunku.
Amiens boss Christophe Pelissier makes nine changes to the team that lost against Sochaux, with only Danilvo Avelar and Guessouma Fofana keeping their place. PSG coach Unai Emery has made three alterations as Alves, Kimpembe and Lo Celso are replaced by Meunier, Marquinhos and Draxler.
The players are just finishing their warm-ups and kick-off is less than 10 minutes away.
HALF-TIME - Amiens 0-0 PSG.
Amiens have battled very hard and worked the ball well on the counter but their 10 men are now going to have to work extra hard to keep PSG at bay.
The referee brings an end to the first-half and there was plenty of drama after Gurtner was sent off in the 34th minute after his challenge on Mbappe. PSG have dominated the game and had chances but they just need to up the tempo in the second half.
FULL-TIME - Amiens 0-2 PSG.
PSG progress in the Coupe de la Ligue after a decent performance at the Stade de la Licorne. They never really got out of first gear tonight but Emery's men had enough quality to see off Amiens. The sending off in the first half proved crucial in the end but PSG did enough to seal the win. Amiens battled hard and showed they have some potential despite their recent results.
While Mbappe was quiet, Neymar and Di Maria showed up tonight and proved their worth as they cut in from the flanks to cause problems. Emery will be pleased with another clean sheet as PSG record their sixth straight victory.
That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!!
