A couple of dangerous situations for Begovic here as he had to clear a questionable back pass and then stayed on the ball a little too long and had to kick it out for a throw in.

Curse of the commentator a bit there as Tadic goes on a lovely run to the end line, pulls it back to Redmond whose shot is then blocked.

We're underway at St. Mary's Stadium!
Hello and welcome to our live commentary of Southampton v Bournemouth!
Let's start off by looking at how the teams are lining up today!
Southampton (5-2-3): Alex McCarthy; Cedric Soares, Wesley Hoedt, Maya Yoshida, Jan Bednarek, Ryan Bertrand; Oriol Romeu, Mario Lemina; Redmond, Austin, Tadic.
Bournemouth (3-4-3): Asmir Begovic; Simon Francis, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake; Ryan Fraser, Lewis Cook, Dan Gosling, Charlie Daniels; Mousset, Wilson, King.
The hosts will be desperate to pick up the points today as a win would put them just one point behind 17th placed Swansea who face Chelsea in the late kick-off. This match is a huge opportunity for Saints to try and push for safety.
Bournemouth on the other hand are all but assured a spot in next season's Premier League as they sit in 11th place on a comfortable 38 points, nine points above the relegation zone.
Despite their struggles this season, Southampton should be confident of securing a result as they have never lost a home match to Bournemouth!
The teams are on the field and we only wait on the referee's whistle!
The teams are back out of the tunnel as we prepare for the second half!
It must be said that the Bournemouth goal came from an incorrectly called corner kick, but the visitors draw things level just before half-time nonetheless.
The home side were the better of the two today and, as the Bournemouth goal came through an incorrectly called corner kick, they fully deserved the win! Tadic obviously had a fantastic day scoring both goals.
What a massive, massive win for Southampton that is! Now just one point behind Swansea and three behind Huddersfield and West Ham, Saints fans may now be dreaming of securing their Premier League status.
That's it for our live coverage of the Southampton v Bournemouth match! We hope you enjoyed it and will join us again in future!
Bournemouth will be disappointed to have not picked up any points, but they had less to play for and it showed at times. Despite looking dangerous on the counter, they were unable to exert their will on the match and failed to finish their chances.
