S. Naismith has scored a goal for Scotland! Assist by G. Mackay-Steven.
That piece of improvisation is what Mackay-Steven is known for, and it's been the sole bright spot of another disappointing evening for Scotland.
GOAL for Scotland! Mackay-Steven does well to control inside the box and then backheel it to an overlapping Naismith behind him. The Hearts striker comfortably curls it past token substitute Ramos in goal. 3-1 now.
90' +1
William Carvalho enters the game and replaces Danilo Pereira.
Rafa enters the game and replaces Bruma.
Carvalho will sit in front of the defence for the remainder of this match. Danilo comes off.
The scorer of the third, Bruma, makes way for Rafa.
90'
A double substitution is coming now at 3-0 up in stoppage time...
88'
It's been a day of first goals for the visitors. Costa scored on his senior debut and now Bruma has his first goal for the national team. All in all, a good outing for their young players.
86'
Cláudio Ramos enters the game and replaces Beto.
A change of keepers has just taken place for Portugal, and that's you know they're having fun. Beto comes off, Ramos steps in.
84'
Bruma has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Gedson Fernandes.
GOOOALLL! The best piece of quality all game has come from substitute Fernandes, who played a perfectly weighted ball in behind for Bruma to chase. The winger then checked inside, pushed into the area and smashed the ball beyond Gordon into the top corner. 3-0!
Fernandes and Sanches are a young midfield pairing off the bench but they've oozed confidence, and have the end product to show for it. The former's pass beat the entire Scotland defence for 3-0.
83'
Since the second goal went in, Portugal have shifted their possession of the ball into Scottish territory, rather than on the halfway line. This has been far too easy for the European champions.
79'
Sanches looks a far more confident player than the one who struggled at Swansea City last term. He's always looking for the ball and driving at Scotland's defence.
77'
K. McDonald enters the game and replaces S. Armstrong.
Fulham's McDonald comes on for Armstrong.

Description
76'
G. Mackay-Steven enters the game and replaces O. McBurnie.
The often isolated McBurnie leaves the pitch and Mackay-Steven replaces him.
74'
Éder has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Renato Sanches.
That was Sanches' first real contribution since coming off the bench. Scotland's defenders could do nothing about the quality of cross, and Eder has been a handful all night in tight spaces.
GOOAALLLL! Eder makes it 2-0 to Portugal, and they’ve barely broken a sweat this evening. Sanches chips in a great ball from the free-kick towards the back-post and Eder heads it back across goal, past Gordon. Amazingly, that’s his first international goal since the Euro 2016 final.
73'
Portugal have a free-kick deep inside Scotland's half. Sanches is over it.
71'
Portugal are very happy to see this game out, even if the subs suggest otherwise. The away team do look like scoring every time they decide to push forward.
69'
Costa appears to get around McKenna as he darts into the box, but the defender does enough to recover and prevent a second goal.
68'
Gedson Fernandes enters the game and replaces Bruno Fernandes.
Just moments after his bizarre offside chance, Fernandes comes off to be replaced by his namesake Gedson Fernandes.
67'
G. Shinnie enters the game and replaces J. McGinn.
Shinnie will get the best part of half-an-hour in place of McGinn.
66'
Fernandes races in behind for Portugal with just Gordon to beat, and no one reacts. A late flag does go up but the Sporting Lisbon midfielder’s finish was straight at the goalkeeper anyway.
65'
Scotland are preparing a substitute. This match needs a kick up the backside from somewhere.
63'
Portugal really are taking it easy at the moment... and there's not a lot of pressure on the ball from Scotland either.
61'
History of this fixture suggested the current scoreline. Portugal have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three matches against Scotland, going 351 minutes since they last conceded.
59'
This second half had promised plenty shortly after the break, but it's fizzled out once again. For all of Scotland's tidiness in midfield, they're not making it uncomfortable for the visitors.
57'
Pedro Mendes enters the game and replaces Rúben Dias.
Pedro Mendes completes the double substitution with Dias making way.
56'
Renato Sanches enters the game and replaces Sérgio Oliveira.
Bayern Munich’s Sanches replaces Oliveira in midfield.
54'
Big chance for McKenna and the defender should have brought his side level there! The Aberdeen man is all alone from a corner and opts for a diving header that goes just wide of the bottom-left corner.
52'
The worrying stat for Scotland will be that they've netted just four goals in seven games in 2018, failing to score in four of those matches.
50'
McGregor sets himself for a shot with a host of Portuguese players in his way in the area. In the end, it was more of a cross and evaded everyone, but Scotland have responded well so far in this second half.
49'
Portugal break with Danilo, who finds himself on the right before crossing in for two in the box. The midfielder’s delivery was just too high, though.
47'
Eder knocks down a high ball on the edge of the area but no one else in a Portugal shirt was on the same wavelength.
46'
Portugal start the second half.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: SCOTLAND 0-1 PORTUGAL
43'
Hélder Costa has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Kévin Rodrigues.
Rodrigues' assist was perfectly placed, taking out several Scotland players and the keeper with the pace on the ball. The hosts were caught ball-watching there.
GOAL! Portugal make the most of some late pressure in the first half. Costa had barely featured at all until the last few minutes. Rodrigues plays an accurate cross along the floor, beyond Gordon, and the Wolves man has a tap-in for his debut goal. 1-0!
41'
Gordon saves! Eder is allowed to control and turn in the box far too easily before firing straight at the goalkeeper. Portugal ought to be ending this half one goal up.
39'
Costa breaks away down the right wing, sending Robertson flying off the pitch in the process, before cutting the ball back for Bruma. The winger smashes a good chance over the crossbar.
37'
Naismith has another chance to head towards goal but instead guides the ball to the back-post for McBurnie, who didn’t anticipate it. This has been a good spell of pressure for Scotland.
36'
There’s definitely space for Scotland to take advantage of on the counter. Portugal look just a bit flustered whenever Robertson motors forward.
32'
Robertson curls in a brilliant curving cross for Naismith in the middle. The Hearts strikers might have needed an extra inch to make contact with the delivery, which skims off his head and behind.
31'
Cedric wastes a crossing opportunity for Portugal with Eder waiting in the penalty area.
30'
Sérgio Oliveira gets yellow.
Oliveira goes into the book for pulling back Robertson on the counter-attack.
27'
Portugal go close! Bruma once again is too speedy for Scotland. He snatches a second ball inside the box only for a block from McGinn to stop a shot finding the bottom-right corner. It should have been 1-0 there.
25'
O'Donnell takes his eye off the lightning-quick Bruma as a pass is drilled in behind, but the winger couldn't quite take the sting off the ball.
24'
McBurnie is looking for the likes of McGregor and McGinn to get close to him when the ball is delivered into feet. The Swansea striker has been crowded out a few times with no support.
22'
Naismith is unmarked in the middle of the box from a cross but his header goes way over the bar.
21'
Gordon is quick off his line this time for Scotland as the visitors look for a way over the top of their opponents.
19'
Scotland’s fluidity from the early minutes when they looked to go right at Portugal has gone a bit. McBurnie is the most recent culprit of misplacing a pass on the halfway line. Robertson is still helping out on the overlap whenever possible, though.
17'
The home side attack through McBurnie and then Forrest before the move falls apart due to one neat pass too many on the left.
15'
At the other end, Beto has to tip an effort over the bar coming from Oliveira, who was trying to clear from a Scotland cross.
13'
Portugal have opted for long balls over the top so far. Oliveira’s run from midfield caught the Scotland defence napping, but a tame header was easily collected by Gordon.
11'
Some unnecessary scrapping in the box delayed the free kick, one that went into the wall from Oliveira. We're still waiting for the first proper attempt on goal.
9'
Portugal earn a free-kick in dangerous territory thanks to strong hold-up play from Eder.
7'
It's been a cautious start from both teams. Many will still be eager to impress as the game progresses, otherwise we could be in for a long evening.
6'
Portugal are trying to get a feel for the game now. Bruma finds himself with a possible one-versus-one battle with O'Donnell. The offside flag saves him this time.
4'
Robertson has also begun with intent down the left. Scotland are having all of the ball so far.
2'
McGregor starts brightly for the home side in his first battle against Southampton full-back Cedric.

Scotland get us underway.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the friendly between Scotland and Portugal in Glasgow.
SCOTLAND (4-4-2): Craig Gordon; Stephen O’Donnell, Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna, Andy Robertson; Callum McGregor, John McGinn, Stuart Armstrong, James Forrest; Steven Naismith, Oli McBurnie.
SUBS: Allan McGregor, Jon McLaughlin, Graeme Shinnie, Johnny Russell, Kevin McDonald, Michael Devlin, Gary Mackay-Steven, Ryan Christie.
SUBS: Claudio Ramos, Joao Cancelo, Pedro Mendes, Renato Sanches, Andre Silva, William Carvalho, Rafa Silva, Ruben Neves, Mario Rui, Pizzi, Gedson Fernandes.
PORTUGAL (4-3-3): Beto; Kevin Rodrigues, Luis Neto, Ruben Dias, Cedric Soares; Danilo Pereira, Sergio Oliveira, Bruno Fernandes; Bruma, Helder Costa, Eder.
Scotland endured a miserable, hot night in Haifa on the weekend, as they squandered a 1-0 lead against Israel before losing with 10 men on Nations League duty. A September drubbing at the hands of Belgium is still fresh in the memory for Alex McLeish’s side, too. The Euro 2016 winners are likely to offer similar problems at Hampden Park.
A rather drab first half burst into life just before the interval. No one sums that up more than the match’s only scorer, when Costa steered a Rodrigues delivery home with his first shot of the match. Hampden has a friendly feel, though, with not much noise from anywhere in the stadium as the referee blew for half-time. Naismith went closest for Scotland with couple of headers inside the box.
It’s been infinitely better for Scotland than much of their game with Israel, but the cutting-edge isn’t quite there. McLeish will surely tell his players to get closer to McBurnie in the second half if they’re to find a way back.
You get the feeling Scotland’s players will welcome the rigours of club football after a miserable international break. They return to Nations League duty in November for a double bill with Albania and Israel. Portugal have two wins from two in their group, and head to Italy before welcoming Poland next month.
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo not joining tonight’s visitors over the international break, goals weren’t hard to come by in a 3-2 win against Poland. Pauleta notched a brace the last time these two sides met. 16 years on, Andre Silva is the man putting them away for Portugal in Ronaldo’s absence. The Sevilla striker has scored seven goals in La Liga so far this term, and twice in his last two international appearances. Team news is on the way.
