They're queueing up to get the second now. Fornals slices well wide from 20 yards.
FULL-TIME: Spain 1 Bosnia-Herzegovina 0
90' +3
SAVE! Spain quickly win the ball back themselves and go on the offensive again! Asensio curls for goal, but Sehic saves well.
90' +1
And then they go for a second... Llorente climbs to meet a cross but cannot aim his header on target. Bosnia have the ball back for one last attack.
90'
There will be three minutes of added time and Spain are going to see them out by keeping the ball deep in Bosnia territory.
88'
Spain are bossing the possession, keeping Bosnia at arm's length. Luis Enrique's men will surely now end the year with a win.
86'
Rodrigo draws a corner and the set-piece sees Mermoso go for a spectacular overhead-kick from wide on the left. The ball drops just over the crossbar, with Sehic watching it all the way.
85'
K. Kodro enters the game and replaces E. Džeko.
SUB: The end of Bosnia's challenge? Dzeko makes way for Kodro.
83'
Spain are just easing to victory now. There's less urgency about the game - partially, presumably, due to the number of substitutions - and Bosnia are scarcely threatening.
81'
R. Bajić enters the game and replaces E. Višća.
CLOSE! Mendez isn't done yet! He takes a pass from Isco 20 yards from goal and carefully places a left-footed shot just past the post.
SUB: Another Bosnia switch sees the dangerous Visca depart. Bajic is on.
79'
S. Prcić enters the game and replaces E. Sarić.
SUB: Time for another Bosnia change and Prcic replaces Saric.
Minute
Description
78'
Brais Méndez has scored a goal for Spain!
GOAL!! Finally they have the breakthrough! And it's Mendez, the debutant! 1-0 to Spain! Isco goes for goal and, although Sehic saves the initial effort, the ball falls kindly for Mendez to sweep into the net.
76'
Besic's foul on Isco gives Spain a shooting opportunity from a free-kick. It is wasteful again, though, as Asensio hammers into the wall.
75'
Pau López enters the game and replaces Kepa.
SUB: It's Lopez's turn for a debut. Kepa makes way.
74'
That challenge leads to a corner and Bosnia are scrambling to clear. They eventually get it away, though, and another Spain cross deflects through to Sehic.
73'
What a challenge from Besic! Gaya slides the ball into Isco's path in the area and a last-ditch tackle denies him a potentially simple finish.
72'
This is getting a little desperate for Spain. Asensio lets fly from 30 yards and gets right under the ball. Dreadful.
70'
SAVE! Good work from Sehic! He slides out at Rodrigo's feet and denies the substitute the opportunity to slide the ball home.
68'
Mermoso's foul gives Bosnia the opportunity to get a ball into the box, but the delivery is poor and they waste that opportunity.
66'
Can one of the substitutes inspire Spain? Rodrigo's early attempts are poor as he flicks Isco's delivery well wide.
64'
Pablo Fornals enters the game and replaces Dani Ceballos.
Rodrigo enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
SUB: Substitutions threaten to break up the game now. Ceballos goes off for Fornals...
SUB: ...and Morata's dismal evening ends with Rodrigo coming on.
63'
Llorente is forced to intercept as Bosnia work the ball nicely to the left to get a low cross in. Dzeko was lurking.
62'
H. Duljević enters the game and replaces R. Krunić.
SUB: Krunic, who missed a big chance earlier in the half, is replaced by Duljevic.
61'
Asensio cannot believe it. He appears to be wiped out just outside the box, but no foul is given. Replays suggest that was a great decision. It looks like a dive.
59'
Brais Méndez enters the game and replaces Suso.
SUB: Suso makes way and Mendez gets his debut.
57'
Asensio wins a corner on the right but, after a lengthy routine, it comes to nothing until Ceballos forces another set-piece.
56'
Álvaro Morata gets yellow.
YELLOW: Morata is late to a challenge and goes into the book. As he has done throughout the match, he takes the opportunity to complain to the officials.
54'
Bosnia get away with a series of risky challenges on Ceballos in the area as a Spain attack fizzles out. The hosts have had plenty of the ball but done little with it.
51'
César Azpilicueta enters the game and replaces Jonny.
SUB: And Jonny cannot continue. Azpilicueta is on.
CHANCE! Another opportunity comes and goes for Morata. Accelerating towards the area, he fires over the top.
48'
Morata does well to get away from his marker and reach a ball in behind, but his attempt to wrongfoot the recovering defender with a backheel is poor. Bosnia can come forward.
47'
CHANCE! It's a big opportunity for Morata! Isco centres and the Chelsea forward, backing away from his marker, has a free header. A looping effort does not trouble the target, though.
46'
KICK-OFF: Spain get us started for the second half.
45'
HALF-TIME: Spain 0 Bosnia-Herzegovina 0
44'
More odd officiating. A crucial foul from Llorente stops Dzeko sending Visca through on goal. The free-kick is given but, again, no card.
43'
WIDE! Asensio should do better! He's unmarked as he climbs to meet a left-wing cross, but a feeble header drops wide.
42'
Dzeko's first sight of goal sees him hammer over the top from a very tight angle. Nice interplay got the Bosnia captain in, but the angle was narrowing all the time.
41'
Bosnia repeatedly have Spain on the back foot when they get men forward at the other end. Nastic beats Jonny but then delivers a poor cross. Dzeko is left a frustrated man in the middle.
40'
SAVE! This is comfortable in the end for Sehic, but Isco might well do better as he cuts inside and drags a tame effort too close to the goalkeeper.
39'
Besic is very fortunate to avoid a card. He kicks Jonny off the ball and gets only a talking to.
38'
E. Sarić gets yellow.
YELLOW: The corner does not make it past the first man and Spain break. Saric fouls his man and goes into the book.
37'
Chaos at the back for Spain. A low cross bobbles around the area until, under no pressure at all, Llorente smashes the ball behind for a corner. Kepa is not impressed.
36'
The home side's momentum has just slowed of late. They were well on top, but Bosnia have grown into the game. Visca's early effort remains the game's best chance.
34'
Spain put Bosnia under pressure and Cimirot hacks the ball out for a throw-in. The hosts have the ball in a dangerous area, but then give it away. Bosnia are now moving the ball nicely.
32'
Bosnia get some men forward and a cross into the middle causes Llorente problems, but the defender just manages to nudge the ball away from the waiting Dzeko.
30'
Great tackle from Bicakcic! Morata races away down the left and then chops back inside, surely looking to tease a foul and earn a penalty. The Bosnia defender gets the tackle right and wins the ball, though.
27'
Not far away from Suso. A slip from Nastic sees the ball arrive at the AC Milan midfielder's feet on the edge of the area. He looks to whip the ball into the far corner but gets too much on it.
25'
The corner is cleared and then a slip in the midfield gifts the ball to Bosnia. They play through Dzeko, who lays the ball off and chases after the expected return into the area. Poor execution sees Kepa easily gather the pass.
24'
A very cheap corner given away by Besic. He shows nice footwork to dodge a challenge on the edge of his own box but then gets the ball stuck under his feet, finally poking it out of play under pressure.
23'
Gaya is having a tough outing. While impressive going forward, he is leaving Visca unmarked every time and regularly getting caught out. The Bosnia man just dallied on the ball this time.
21'
José Gayà gets yellow.
YELLOW: Strange decision from the referee. Gaya clips Visca to earn a yellow card, with the official allowing no advantage. Bosnia were on the charge.
19'
It's Isco's turn to let fly, finding room on the right corner of the area. His aim is poor and the ball flies high and wide.
17'
Bosnia come forward for the first time since the opening seconds. Saric's cross from the left just evades Dzeko, however.
16'
Corner to Spain. A teasing cross is nodded away only as far as Asensio, who hammers at goal. His shot is deflected behind.
14'
Spain's ball-carriers are heavily involved early on. Asensio brings the ball down the left and a low cross is just behind Morata. Jonny cannot then pick out a team-mate.
12'
Gaya's deflected cross is easily claimed by Sehic, but Bosnia fail to build out from the back. Spain soon have the ball back.
10'
Spain have now settled down and are keeping the ball with ease. They're yet to forge a first chance, though.
8'
After a spell of midfield tussling, Isco drifts in from the left in a bid to impact play. Asensio looks for the pass in behind, but it has too much on it for his Real Madrid colleague.
6'
Lovely move from Spain! Both Isco and Morata execute delicate flicks, before Gaya's low cross is nudged away from the Chelsea forward.
5'
Suso looks accusingly at the turf as he attempts a turn on the right and runs the ball out of play. Spain are looking to start fast.
3'
This is a very open game in the early stages, with both teams attacking at pace. A poor Isco pass halts Spain's latest move.
2'
Spain's first attack sees Asensio aim a deep cross towards the back post but he overhits it. Goal kick.
1'
KICK-OFF: After a hug with former Manchester City team-mate Dzeko, Silva gets the game under way and departs the pitch. The official kick-off follows, with Bosnia taking possession.
SAVE! Bosnia are straight on the attack and Visca draws a first save from Kepa. What a start that could have been.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the international friendly between Spain and Bosnia-Herzegovina!
This is already a day of disappointment for Spain as England's late winner against Croatia denied Luis Enrique's men a place in the Nations League Finals. Bosnia, who will now join Spain in League A, will hope to further put a dampener on the occasion.
Let's get the team news...
Spain (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Jonny, Diego Llorente, Mario Hermoso, Jose Gaya; Marco Asensio, Rodri, Dani Ceballos; Suso, Alvaro Morata, Isco.
Bosnia-Herzegovina (4-3-3): Ibrahim Sehic; Gojko Cimirot, Ermin Bicakcic, Ervin Zukanovic, Bojan Nastic; Amer Gojak, Muhamed Besic, Elvis Saric; Edin Visca, Edin Dzeko, Rade Krunic.
The anthems are done and the teams are all set in Las Palmas as David Silva says farewell to the fans. Kick-off is just moments away.
This has not been a bad game to watch, but it was a very uneventful first half. Visca fired straight at Kepa in the game's clearest opening.
Spain's fringe men have another 45 minutes to impress. Regular stars Isco and Asensio have sparkled more than most.
Subs: David De Gea, Pau Lopez, Inigo Martinez, Sergio Busquets, Saul Niguez, Rodrigo, Cesar Azpilicueta, Brais Mendez, Iago Aspas, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Pablo Fornals.
Subs: Kenan Piric, Vedran Kjosevski, Eldar Civic, Haris Duljevic, Sanjin Prcic, Toni Sunjic, Rijad Balic, Kenan Kodro-Maksumic, Deni Milosevic, Ermedin Demirovic.
That's the end of Spain's international football for 2018 then. They will be back in action in Euro 2020 qualification in March, although there is now no Nations League Finals trip for them to look forward to at the conclusion of the campaign.
That's all from this one. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
