Angelino and Lozano stand over the set-piece, but it’s the former who clips it into the penalty area – right to the head of Pique who clears it easily under no pressure.
90' +3
Piqué gets yellow.
Pique earns himself a yellow card for taking De Jong down during an aerial duel. With a minute left, this PSV free-kick could be their last chance!
90' +1
The fourth official indicates an additional four minutes at the end of the 90 for stoppages.
89'
MALCOM OVER THE BAR! The counter-attack ends as the substitute bursts into the penalty area with only Angelino around him, but the goalkeeper does well to come off his line and force a rushed shot which is sent high into the night sky.
88'
Malen manages to get a shot off towards Ter Stegen, but it’s a weak one that rolls into the grateful arms of the goalkeeper. PSV are putting together a late push!
86'
Jordi Alba gets yellow.
The referee shows Alba a yellow card for wasting time as Van Bommel has a word with the fourth official while pointing to his watch.
83'
É. Gutiérrez gets yellow.
L. de Jong gets yellow.
Gutierrez is shown a yellow card for a slightly overzealous challenge in midfield.
De Jong is also shown a yellow card for words between him and Alba in front of the match official.
82'
L. de Jong has scored a goal for PSV! Assist by Angeliño.
Angelino has done well despite being matched up against Dembele all game, and his endeavour is rewarded with an assist for the PSV goal.
PSV FINALLY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE! 2-1! De Jong climbs over Pique with ease and nods a simple Angelino cross into the far post! Game on with less than 10 minutes remaining!
80'
Denis Suárez enters the game and replaces O. Dembélé.
Dembele is done for the day, as Valverde gives Suarez some playing time.
Minute
Description
79'
M. Romero enters the game and replaces S. Bergwijn.
Bergwijn is replaced with just over 10 minutes left in the match. Romero is the preferred choice.
AGAIN WIDE FROM PSV! Angelino delivers a quality ball into the penalty area to the near post for De Jong who outmuscles Lenglet to get to the ball first. His contact is clean, but he is unable to hit the target.
77'
Bergwijn and Dumfries get into an argument as an attack breaks down. The striker is unhappy with the service which is hit too far, and De Jong comes across to tell them to get back into position. It’s been a frustrating night all-around for the hosts.
71'
É. Gutiérrez enters the game and replaces J. Hendrix.
D. Malen enters the game and replaces G. Pereiro.
Pereiro undeservedly ends the match without a goal, as the midfielder had a number of chances to open the scoring, including a shot struck off the base of the post. Perhaps Malen can make an impact in his stead?
Hendrix is removed after the second goal to avoid a possible second booking. Gutierrez enters in his place.
70'
Piqué has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by L. Messi.
Messi now has an assist to add to his goal tonight, as his free-kick is delivered perfectly towards Pique for the centre-back to turn home.
MAGIC MESSI TO PIQUE FOR 2-0! It’s Pique’s goal, but all credit to Messi whose free-kick is hit with stunning accuracy, a foot off the ground, perfectly timed with the in-step of the Barcelona centre-back who opens his foot and redirects the free-kick into the net! 2-0!
69'
Malcom enters the game and replaces Philippe Coutinho.
The first substitution of the game goes the way of Barcelona, who replace Coutinho with Malcom.
68'
Rosario catches Coutinho after the Brazil international gets his shot away, resulting in a Barcelona free-kick in a central position.
66'
Perhaps a bit too selfless from Messi who is played inside the penalty area by Dembele. Instead of having a shot, he opts to hold play up and return it to the France international whose shot is blocked by Schwaab.
64'
Messi takes the free-kick to Vidal who sneaks round the back post to get possession. The centring pass falls for Rakitic inside the penalty area, but his shot his hit way over the crossbar in a poor attempt at goal.
63'
Vidal is once again down after a challenge just outside the penalty area from Hendrix, who essentially volleys his Barcelona counterpart in the stomach.
61'
L. Messi has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by O. Dembélé.
NO SURPRISE THAT MESSI MAKES THE DIFFERENCE! 1-0 to Barcelona thanks to their captain fantastic who works a give-and-go with Dembele, receiving the ball just inside the penalty area. With all the work still to do, Messi goes past De Jong and opens up room in front of Angelino, before slotting his finish high into the corner of the goal!
Dembele’s simply worked one-two pass with Messi has earned him an assist.
59'
De Jong is caught by the high boot of Busquets, who awards PSV the free-kick. The initial delivery is rebuffed by Lenglet, but the second ball drops for Rosario who hammers a volley towards goal, the shot taking a touch on its way through to give the hosts a corner.
57'
De Jong gives away a free-kick in midfield after fouling Rakitic who has been more or less anonymous so far in the match.
55'
As we approach the hour, Barcelona feel slightly more dangerous, but that is not a discredit to PSV who have been equal to their visitors in every facet of the game for nearly an hour. It’s been an impressive performance – and the impact of substitutions will be felt very soon.
53'
Lozano takes on Alba down the right before putting a cross into the box for De Jong, whose volley loops behind him. Hendrix is there to claim the loose ball and have a crack at goal, but Ter Stegen is equal to the task.
51'
Hendrix plays it down the left for Lozano, who puts it on his left foot and sends a cross in search of De Jong, only for Alba to let it roll out for a goal-kick.
50'
Zoet gets down very well on his near post to make a crucial save on Messi. The rebound comes to Alba, whose follow-up effort is blocked quickly by Dumfries.
48'
Alba gives away the ball to Lozano, but he is lucky enough to win it back from the tricky Mexico international who has perhaps not flashed in this match the way Van Bommel would have wanted.
46'
PSV get what is sure to be an enthralling second half underway from the kick-off!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: PSV 0-0 BARCELONA.
44'
Lenglet leaves a foot in as he steps through Bergwijn in an attempt to win the ball. The PSV forward is noticeably limping, but I’m sure he’ll be able to run it off as the home side have a free-kick outside the area on the right.
42'
Messi goes on a trademark run, distributing the ball from the middle of the pitch to Dembele, who perhaps takes a touch too much as he attempts to set himself for a curler. Hendrix gets himself in the way and closes his legs just in time to repel the strike.
40'
Messi has a strike with his left foot from outside the box, but Zoet is able to see the firmly hit strike the whole way and gets his body behind a diving save.
39'
Messi is down in midfield after Hendrix steps in and brings the forward down. The PSV player’s latest challenge is right in front of the referee, not smart considering he is already on a booking.
37'
TWO OFF-THE LINE CLEARANCES SAVES PSV! It’s a double of unfortunate clearances for Vidal – who sees two separate chances from two rapid-fire corner kicks saved off the line! The first is a looping shot into the top corner which is nodded over narrowly by Rosario whose defensive positioning is excellent. The second is nodded towards the far post, with Hendrix kicking it away at the last moment!
33'
The entire stadium whistles as Bergwijn wins a free-kick from Pique just outside the centre-circle. The centre-back’s first attempt to bring the forward down fails, leading the Spain international to slide tackle his opponent – much to the displeasure of the Philips Stadion.
31'
Messi lobs the free-kick into the penalty area looking for Busquets, but Rosario is there in case, but as it is the ball harmlessly flies over and into the arms of Zoet.
30'
Vidal wins a free-kick on the right after De Jong comes through the back of the midfielder. It’s quite some distance out and in an awkward, central position.
28'
Dembele turns on the pace to try and get behind Viergever in order to latch onto a strongly hit pass, but the defender is equal to the task, shielding the ball and allowing it to roll out for a goal-kick. It’s been an impressive 30 minutes from PSV who are handling themselves well in all areas.
26'
Immediately after the free-kick, taken deep in midfield, Hendrix is involved again, this time he plays perhaps a bit too rough with Vidal who wins another set-piece. The PSV midfielder needs to watch out and make sure he does not give the referee a decision to make.
25'
J. Hendrix gets yellow.
It’s one name in the book for either side now as Hendrix sees yellow for a sliding tackle on Dembele in midfield.
22'
Dembele’s pass out to the right for Semedo is hit with no accuracy whatsoever and Barcelona turn possession over once again without being under pressure. It’s been a strangely sloppy display by the visitors who could count themselves lucky not to be behind.
20'
Coutinho’s corner is taken to the near post for Busquets who tries to hook it over his shoulder with a volley that does not come off. Zoet can collect for a goal-kick.
18'
Dembele takes a Barcelona corner short to Messi who returns the ball to Dembele inside the penalty area with room to run. The France international chips the ball into the centre of the area, but Busquets’ back-heel flick doesn’t come off and PSV clear.
16'
OFF THE POST FROM PEREIRO! Rakitic turns the ball over in midfield as Barcelona are once again sloppy in possession, and the PSV midfielder takes a touch to set himself before having a strike towards the bottom right-hand corner of the goal, which sneaks under the hand of Ter Stegen before smacking off the base of the post!
15'
De Jong looks to spray a pass forward for Lozano who is stretching play on the right, but a slip from the forward renders him unable to catch up to the pass which rolls out for a throw.
14'
PSV have switched formation in the last five minutes, dropping Pereiro into midfield and narrowing the space between Bergwijn and Lozano, with De Jong playing just behind in a support position. Interesting tactical choice by van Bommel, who used to play for Barcelona.
12'
Rakitic turns possession over in midfield but Lozano’s cross from the right is too far for Bergwijn on the other side, and Barcelona squeeze it back, very close to their own goal.
11'
Messi looks to create something down the left channel, but Dumfries is in position to not only win the ball but earn a throw-in, putting the ball off the chest of Barcelona’s captain. That’s wonderfully intelligent play by the 21-year old.
10'
It’s been a rather tame opening spell for both sides, as they look to get a foothold in the match. Dembele has the ball outside the penalty area on the right, but his cross is hit low and cleared by the foot of Viergever.
8'
PSV must be careful playing out from the back, as a risky Schwaab pass is almost intercepted in midfield. Lucky for the home side, Vidal barges into Hendrix, allowing them to definitively clear their lines.
6'
Valverde has decided to bring a very youthful bench to the Netherlands, with a number of La Masia graduates waiting for their opportunity to feature. With Barcelona almost guaranteed a first-place finish in Group B, the manager can afford the luxury of giving out precious Champions League minutes to the next generation.
3'
PSV win an early free-kick just outside the penalty area as a turnover in midfield leads to a Lozano break. He races down the left before cutting inside, where he is fouled by Busquets.

It's the visitors who get the match underway from the kick-off!
Group B is still full of intrigue as PSV welcome Barcelona to Philips Stadion, knowing they will be unable to qualify for the knockout stages - regardless of the result. It’s not all doom and gloom for Mark van Bommel though, as his side can still enter the Europa League via third place - but they will need to reduce the gap to Spurs to under three points after today's fixtures. It’s been a rough campaign in the Champions League for PSV who only have one point.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Champions League Group B fixture between PSV and Barcelona!
Three points today for Ernesto Valverde’s side would guarantee a first-place finish for the Blaugrana with one match remaining – a tremendous feat considering the quality Group B. Despite being drawn with Inter and Tottenham, Barcelona won their first three matches consecutively, before a goal in the 87th minute from Icardi stole a draw in the end in the Giuseppe Meazza last time out.
The last time these two sides met was in matchday one when Barcelona thoroughly hammered their visitors by a score of 4-0. A sensational Lionel Messi hat-trick, with goals either side of an Ousmane Dembele strike condemned PSV to their worst Champions League defeat since a loss of the same score in Lyon in March 2006
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, the team news has been confirmed! Let's start with the home side!
PSV SUBS: Aziz Behich, Maximiliano Romero, Erick Gutierrez, Mauro Junior, Trent Sainsbury, Donyell Malen.

BARCELONA SUBS: Denis Suarez, Malcom, Munir El Haddadi, Carles Alena, Juan Miranda, Inaki Pena, Chumi.
The two sides make their out of the tunnel and onto the pitch for the Champions League anthem. Kick-off should follow shortly!
It’s been a thoroughly entertaining first half in Philips Stadion as the two sides enter the interval level at 0-0. Both teams should feel disheartened they aren’t leading while remaining positive that they aren’t behind. PSV started perhaps the better, capitalising on a number of uncharacteristic Barcelona turnovers in midfield. A change in formation lead to an increase in the influence of Pereiro, whose free-kick was saved well by Ter Stegen, and whose close-range shot beat the goalkeeper, only to be denied by the post. Further drama saw PSV hit the woodwork twice in quick succession to end the first half, as both De Jong and Dumfries were unable to turn home a free-kick.
Barcelona have had their fair share of opportunities to score despite some sloppy play. Dembele is doing well to trouble Angelino down the right, while Messi is in prime form, distributing the ball to his fellow forwards. Perhaps the most influential Blaugrana in the first half, however, was Vidal, whose shot on 37 minutes was cleared off the line, only for his header from the ensuing corner-kick to be once again rebuffed under the crossbar by Hendrix. It’s been a fantastic watch so far, and one which is impossible to predict!
That concludes our commentary of the Group B fixture between PSV and Barcelona! We hope you enjoyed it!
PSV have a difficult upcoming fixture, as they travel to face Feyenoord on December 2. Barcelona will look to make it two wins in a row when they host Villarreal the same day.
