We're underway at the John Smith's Stadium.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth at the John Smith's Stadium.
Huddersfield are entering the situation where they need to win every week to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Terriers are 13 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table, although Jan Siewert's men did record a win in their last home match against Wolves. However, they were unable to build on their victory, losing 1-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out on the road. Huddersfield need another home victory this afternoon.
SUBS: Ben Hamer, Chris Lowe, Karlan Grant, Florent Hadergjonaj, Matty Daly, Jason Puncheon, Aaron Rowe.
BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2): Artur Boruc; Adam Smith, Chris Mepham, Nathan Ake, Charlie Daniels; David Brooks, Jefferson Lerma, Andrew Surman, Ryan Fraser; Callum Wilson, Josh King.
SUBS: Lys Mousset, Diego Rico, Nathaniel Clyne, Jack Simpson, Asmir Begovic, Dominic Solanke, Sam Surridge.
Bournemouth are winless in their last five Premier League matches, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last time out in a game where they failed to register a shot on goal. Eddie Howe's men made a bright start to the campaign, but it has petered out since the turn of the year. They're nine points above the relegation zone and are not in immediate trouble, but the Cherries will be keen to end their poor run of form.
Huddersfield have only scored 15 goals this season in their 29 Premier League matches. They've struggled once again in the final third this afternoon, failing to carve out a clear-cut opening on goal. Their approach play has not been good enough, while the service to Steve Mounie in the middle has been woeful. Jan Siewert will be demanding an improvement from his team after the interval.
Huddersfield are next in action against West Ham United on the road next week, while Bournemouth host Newcastle in a vital game for both teams.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
