The fourth official indicates an additional six minutes at the end of the match for stoppages.
90'
There is a red card shown, however – it’s for the Inter manager who is given his marching orders after protesting VAR’s decision to repeal the red card for Conti.
89'
A. Conti gets yellow.
CONTI HAS A RED CHANGED TO YELLOW AFTER VAR! Martinez pulls off an overhead flick to keep Inter's counter-attack going and Conti flies into a sliding challenge on the striker which – the referee believed – caught him squarely on the leg with studs showing. Upon checking, it appears the challenge was not as bad as first thought, and the red is replaced by a yellow which allows the match to stay 11 against 11.
84'
A. Candreva enters the game and replaces M. Politano.
Politano has been instrumental to Inter’s lead, but Spalletti chooses to have him sit the rest of the match out. Candreva is his replacement.
81'
Politano curls the free-kick into the six-yard area but a Milan defender heroically heads the ball away – diving to get there first.
80'
Conti takes down Vecino just outside the penalty area on the left and gives Inter a free-kick in a very dangerous position.
79'
Suso gets yellow.
M. Vecino gets yellow.
Vecino becomes Inter’s second player to be booked, for a late challenge on Conti.
Now Suso’s name is taken by the referee after using too much force to try and win the ball back from Skriniar near the corner flag.
76'
Politano takes on, and beats Calabria before leading Martinez with a pass inside the penalty area. Donnarumma is aware of the threat and rushes off his line to get there first.

Description
74'
Calabria puts a cross into the area, looking for either Piatek or Cutrone but its Handanovic who wins the aerial duel, catching the ball comfortably near the penalty spot.
73'
Borja Valero enters the game and replaces M. Brozović.
After having their lead cut back down to a single goal yet again, Inter make a change in midfield which sees Valero replace Brozovic.
71'
M. Musacchio has scored a goal for AC Milan!
IT’S GAME ON ONCE AGAIN AS MUSACCHIO CLAWS IT BACK TO 3-2! Another short-corner routine pays dividends, this time for Milan as Suso receives a pass from Calhanoglu and fires it towards the back post looking for a team-mate. The ball finds an unsuspecting D’Ambrosio who gets a knee to it, knocking it towards Handanovic. The goalkeeper has to make a reaction save but Musacchio is there to react quickest and hammer the ball into the net!
69'
A. Conti enters the game and replaces F. Kessié.
Gattuso looks to change the game from the bench as Kessie is replaced by Conti with just over 20 minutes left.
67'
Penalty goal scored by L. Martínez for Inter Milan!
MARTINEZ MAKES IT 3-1 FROM THE SPOT! The striker makes no mistake as he fires his penalty into the bottom-left corner! The two-goal lead is restored for the visitors!
66'
A. Romagnoli gets yellow.
Romagnoli is shown a yellow card for dissent following the penalty decision.
63'
Bakayoko gives away a foul outside his penalty area after a foul on Gagliardini which prevented the Inter midfielder from getting closer to the Milan penalty area. It’s perhaps a bit too deep for a shot, but in a great position for a cross.
61'
Suso breaks forward and looks to get to the byline before crossing but a wonderful Asamoah slide challenge dispossesses the winger and wins a goal-kick at the same time.
60'
Well, that goal has certainly sparked some life into the match, as well as the fans at San Siro. Bakayoko’s contribution has stirred his side into action as Kessie wins a corner after his cross is deflected by Skriniar. Can the Rossoneri complete the comeback with 30 minutes remaining?
58'
P. Cutrone enters the game and replaces R. Rodríguez.
Immediately after scoring, Gattuso makes an attacking substitution as Rodriguez is replaced by Cutrone.
57'
T. Bakayoko has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by H. Çalhanoğlu.
Calhanoglu finally makes an impression on the match with a wonderful assist for Bakayoko’s goal which cuts the deficit in half for Milan.
MILAN ARE BACK IN THE MATCH THROUGH BAKAYOKO! 2-1! Calhanoglu takes a free-kick from a central position well outside the penalty area but he manages to hang it high enough for Bakayoko to rise and power his header past Handanovic! The angle wasn’t favourable, but the Turkey international is known for his set-piece ability, and it came off perfectly there!
55'
Suso finally tries to find Piatek with a curled cross but the outstretched leg of De Vrij knocks it away. The Milan striker has been completely anonymous as we approach the hour, though not necessarily through any fault of his own.
53'
It’s gone from bad to worse for Milan who are once again unable to focus after the kick-off. Inter have asserted their dominance in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, and they’re fully deserving of their two-goal advantage. Gattuso’s first substitution has not shown too much promise as of yet, and it might be time for another.
51'
S. de Vrij has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by M. Politano.
Politano’s cross is the assist for Inter’s second goal after a nifty short-corner routine comes off perfectly.
ANOTHER STRONG START TO THE HALF LEADS TO A GOAL FOR INTER! 2-0 now to the Nerazzurri who get some insurance after a quick free kick allows Politano to curl a precise cross to the head of De Vrij who is inexplicably left without a defender. Milan have it all to do now as Inter tighten their grip on the match!
48'
Paqueta has played a lot of football since his transfer to Milan in January and was clearly in need of a rest. Perhaps Castillejo can provide the thrust and craft necessary to unlock the Inter defence.
46'
Samu Castillejo enters the game and replaces Lucas Paquetá.
Milan get the second half underway from the kick-off!
Milan make a change at half-time, as Castillejo replaces Paqueta in midfield.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: MILAN 0-1 INTER.
45' +1
The fourth official indicates two minutes of additional time for stoppages.
43'
Milan win a free-kick thanks to Rodriguez’s ability to shield the ball from Vecino near the left corner flag. Can the Rossoneri take their chance before the half-time whistle?
40'
Brozovic dinks the ball into the penalty area from the free-kick, but Romagnoli smuggles it away for a corner.
38'
Kessie pushes Martinez off the ball as the striker had his sights set on goal, which gives Inter a free-kick in a very opportune position for a cross.
36'
The pace of the match has slowed a bit as Milan have been able to get into the game a little bit more. Their passing seems to be a little bit more fluid, though Inter still have all the answers when it comes to defending.
32'
R. Rodríguez gets yellow.
Rodriguez goes into the referee’s book after an awful sliding challenge on the near touchline, going through the back of Politano.
29'
Donnarumma is called into action as Inter take a dangerous corner from the left which forces the goalkeeper to parry it from the edge of his six-yard area despite the crowd of bodies in his way.
27'
Suso gets down the right and cuts inside in trademark fashion, curling a pass to the left for Calhanoglu. The forward is once again involved in the attack as he feints in front of his marker before ultimately ending the move with a poor left-foot cross which is too inviting for Handanovic.
23'
Milan’s press is very disjointed in attempting to win back the ball as Inter are able to pass through it quite easily on the left as they build another attack which forces the Rossoneri to defend deep in numbers.
21'
Milan have not been able to settle in the opening 20 minutes of the match. The early Inter goal has no doubt affected their confidence, but their play has been very lacklustre – resorting to a number of high, searching passes and deep crosses to try and cause confusion in the Inter penalty area.
19'
Calabria puts a cross in from the right towards the back post for Paqueta, who beats D’Ambrosio in the air but can only put the header wide of Handanovic’s goal.
15'
Calhanoglu curls a powerful free-kick into the penalty area looking for a team-mate, but Skriniar is first to it as he pops it up, allowing Handanovic to make a more comfortable catch.
14'
M. Brozović gets yellow.
Brozovic lunges into a challenge on Calhanoglu inside the Inter half on the left and gives away a free-kick. The midfielder is also shown a booking by the match official.
8'
Paqueta hammers a long-range effort towards goal but Handanovic throws himself into a great save!
7'
Calhanoglu works a short corner to Suso, whose ensuing left-footed cross is put far too deep for a team-mate to attack it as Milan gift possession back to Inter via a throw.
5'
Inter certainly started the match the brighter of the two sides, with some early success down the right-hand side foreshadowing the movement which led to Inter’s opener. Milan’s recent good form has been down to their defence – but this early lead will force them to go forward in search of an equaliser.
3'
M. Vecino has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by L. Martínez.
Martinez makes an early impression playing as the central striker, as his smartly nodded ball is the assist for Vecino’s opener.
VECINO MAKES IT THE PERFECT START FOR INTER! 1-0 to the Nerazzurri as Rodriguez allows Perisic to hang a deep cross to the far post for Martinez, who intelligently nods centrally, into the path of Vecino who hammers an awkward half-volley into the roof of the net!

The 170th Milan derby is underway as Inter take the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Serie A fixture between AC Milan and Inter!
The Derby della Madonnina is one of Italian football’s most anticipated fixtures – and this year proves no exception. With only one point separating Milan in third and Inter in fourth, both Champions League qualification and city bragging rights are at stake at San Siro this evening.
Milan have overtaken Inter in the standings after a tremendous run of results that has seen the Rossoneri unbeaten in their last 10 matches, conceding three times in the new calendar year. Their organisation has given them the record of Europe’s best defence in 2019. Inter conversely are in some trouble after squandering their eight-point cushion over Milan in eight matches. With only one win in their last three Serie A fixtures, and a midweek exit from the Europa League, the Nerazzuri will be looking to turn their season around with a win in the derby.
This evening’s fixture is a tale of two strikers, with Milan’s Krzysztof Piatek scoring six times in seven matches since transferring from Genoa, which takes his season tally to a whopping 19 goals. Inter’s main striker Mauro Icardi will continue his absence from the squad, despite the Argentina international’s past influence in derby matches; his four goals powered the Nerazzuri past the Rossoneri in two of their last three Serie A meetings – the other ending 0-0.
INTER XI (4-3-3): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Kwadwo Asamoah; Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino; Matteo Politano, Lautaro Martinez, Ivan Perisic.
MILAN SUBS: Pepe Reina, Cristian Zapata, Ignazio Abate, Lucas Biglia, Andrea Conti, Diego Laxalt, Patrick Cutrone, Samu Castillejo, Fabio Borini, Mattia Caldara, Andrea Bertolacci, Antonio Donnarumma.
MILAN XI (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Ricardo Rodriguez, Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Mussachio, Davide Calabria; Lucas Paqueta, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Franck Kessie; Hakan Calhanoglu, Krzysztof Piatek, Suso.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, the team news has been confirmed! Let's start with Milan.
INTER SUBS: Cedric Soares, Dalbert, Andrea Ranocchia, Keita Balde Diao, Borja Valero, Daniele Padelli, Antonio Candreva.
Inter can be quite content in the second half to simply defend their lead and hang onto a crucial three points which would see them surpass Milan in the standings. All the pressure is on the hosts to come forward and try and reclaim points – a task which has not been handled well by Gattuso’s side in the opening half. With a number of forward options on the bench, the manager will have to be clever in his changes, though one of either Castillejo or Cutrone seems likely. The Nerazzurri will look to control the tempo and make it an easy conclusion – though that is not often the case in derby matches.
That concludes our coverage of the Serie A fixture between Milan and Inter. We hope you enjoyed it!
Milan are in action next Saturday when they travel to Genoa to face Sampdoria. Inter play on Sunday when they welcome Lazio to San Siro.
