Norway keep the pressure on following the corner, sending a few crosses into the box, but Spain are first to all of them, and the pressure is finally relieved following a clash of heads as Johnsen is penalised for a foul.
90' +2
Everyone forward now for Norway as they win a throw in the attacking half. They pile bodies into the penalty area and eventually get the ball in there, before winning a corner. This is their chance, and it looks like Jarstein is getting forward for this as well!
90'
There will be four minutes added on at the end of this match.
89'
Jaime Mata enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
Getafe striker Jaime Mata comes on for his first international cap at the age of 30, replacing Morata.
88'
Into the final minutes and it's now or never for Norway, who must throw caution to the wind. They do finally win the ball back, and look to have pieced together a decent attack with King sprinting down the left, but the striker disappointingly knocks the ball behind for a goal kick.
86'
Norway have everyone behind the ball and they've got little choice otherwise, as Spain are camped out on the front foot, keeping the visitors at arm's length. They win a corner and are in no rush to take it.
84'
Playing a bit of keep-away now are Spain, as Norway are struggling to win the ball back. This is exactly the sort of position Spain thrive in, and they have just over five minutes left to see this out.
80'
Jarstein does well to keep his positioning, as he sticks with the run of Asensio to deny the attacker's effort at the near post. It wasn't a difficult save, but it's certainly an important one to keep this match within reach for Norway into the final 10 minutes.
79'
Spain have really put a stranglehold on this match since retaking the lead, as they've hardly relinquished possession. Norway are going to have to dig deep here if they are to find yet another equaliser.

Description
77'
O. Kamara enters the game and replaces S. Johansen.
Rodri enters the game and replaces Dani Parejo.
Kamara takes the place of Johansen with Norway's last change - a straight swap on the flank.
Another Spain change sees Parejo go off to a rousing applause from these supporters at Mestalla, where Parejo plays his club football with Valencia, as he's replaced by Rodri.
74'
Sergio Canales enters the game and replaces Dani Ceballos.
B. Johnsen gets yellow.
A first change of the night for Spain sees Sergio Canales come on for his international debut, replacing Ceballos.
Johnsen becomes the third Norway player booked on the night, for a foul on Busquets.
71'
Penalty goal scored by Sergio Ramos for Spain!
SPAIN RESTORE THEIR LEAD! It's 2-1 at Mestalla as Ramos confidently slots home his Panenka penalty, and Norway have it all to do again!
69'
Spain have been made to pay dearly for not putting this game to bed. They've had their chances and then some to double their lead, but Jarstein stood tall. Norway managed to ride out the storm and their perseverance has been rewarded.
65'
Penalty goal scored by J. King for Norway!
PARITY RESTORED AT MESTALLA! 1-1! Wonderful composure from King who slots his penalty just inside the post, hardly taking a run up. That was hit hard and accurate, leaving De Gea with no chance despite guessing correctly.
64'
Iñigo Martínez gets yellow.
PENALTY TO NORWAY! A huge moment in this match as Martinez drags Johnsen to ground from a corner, and the referee points straight to the spot, while issuing a yellow card to Spain's centre-back.
62'
Slowly but surely, Norway are growing in stature. They're looking a bit more confident in possession, and are transitioning with more pace. A clever little foray into the final third sees them win a corner. Spain still have a job to do here.
60'
Into the final 30 minutes now and despite Spain's dominance thus far, it does appear finely poised at Mestalla. There's just the one goal between them and Spain haven't threatened as much since the restart. Perhaps the reshuffling in attack can spark Norway in their attempts to find an equaliser.
56'
M. Elyounoussi enters the game and replaces M. Ødegaard.
A second change in the span of a minute sees Norway bring on Mohamed Elyounoussi, the brother of the recently substituted Tarik Elyounoussi, as he replaced Odegaard out wide.
55'
B. Johnsen enters the game and replaces T. Elyounoussi.
A first change of the night is made by the visitors, as Johnsen comes on to replace Elyounoussi up top. The AZ forward is more of a true striker, and figures to offer more of a target up top for them.
54'
Johansen is also booked for his part in the altercation.
53'
S. Johansen gets yellow.
Dani Ceballos gets yellow.
Ceballos sees yellow for retaliating following a completely needless shove from Johansen.
52'
CRUCIAL BLOCK! Another tidy run from Morata sees the striker sprung through on goal, but Nordtveit slides in at the vital moment to get a partial block in, just taking the sting out of the striker's shot.
51'
T. Elyounoussi gets yellow.
A late challenge from Elyounoussi, who had tracked back to try and win the ball in his own end, sees the striker into the book. It's a second yellow card in the match, both shown to Norway players.
50'
At one point or another, Norway will have to show some ambition. They have plenty of capable players, but they've been far too conservative in their approach, which has made it very easy on Spain to keep possession and camp out in attack.
48'
Spain pick up where they left off in the first half, as they quickly get back on the front foot, forcing Norway to drop deep in defence. The visitors can't afford to do that much defending again in the second half, or tired legs will no doubt set in and the floodgates will open.
46'
The second half is underway at Mestalla!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: SPAIN 1-0 NORWAY.
45'
There will be just one minute added on at the end of this first half.
44'
The visitors respond as they get back the other way and win a corner. Spain are first to it, but only clear the ball as far as Johansen. The midfielder has a sight of goal from just over 20 yards, but lashes a strike wildly over the bar.
42'
Spain are applying all sorts of pressure here as the first half winds down, with Norway desperately needing to get this match into the break without conceding a second. Asensio lifts an effort narrowly over the bar from 15 yards, resulting in a goal kick, and the chance for Norway to relieve the pressure.
36'
Parejo goes for goal from the ensuing free-kick, but his effort doesn't trouble Jarstein who gets across comfortably to save at the near post.
35'
K. Ajer gets yellow.
A first yellow card of the night is shown to Ajer, who flies through the air to clear a ball over the top, but ends up catching Morata as the striker was able to get an important touch to knock it forward and lure the defender into a challenge.
27'
Dazzling footwork from Rodrigo! He's playing on another level tonight for Spain, continuously at the heart of their most threatening attacks. A lovely display of skill sees him dribble beyond a number of defenders before trying to play Morata through on goal, but his pass has just a bit too much on it as Jarstein collects.
25'
Norway are continuing to battle their way back into this match, and De Gea is put under pressure from a back-pass, but just manages to clear the danger. This has been an encouraging spell from the visitors, though. Now they need to build off it.
23'
Decent response from Norway, who get forward and offer a bit of respite for their back line. Elabdellaoui and Odegaard whip crosses in, but Spain are up to the task defensively.
21'
Another chance for Spain to double their advantage, with Norway really finding themselves under the cosh, but Morata sends a free header straight at Jarstein from the ensuing corner.
16'
Rodrigo has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Jordi Alba.
Terrific vision from Alba to clip that cross over the head of Morata, in for the unmarked Rodrigo, as he provides the assist.
SPAIN BREAK THE DEADLOCK! It's 1-0! Jordi Alba is played smartly through down the left by Asensio, and picks out the perfect cross for Rodrigo, who has a simple first-time finish from eight yards! It's a moment to remember for Rodrigo, who is a fan favourite at Mestalla, playing his club football with Valencia.
15'
Morata has quite the opportunity for Spain, as he's got the luxury of being one of the few strikers at Luis Enrique's disposal, in what is really a position of scarcity for La Roja. He's going to get a number of games up top to really cement himself as first-choice striker.
13'
Having weathered the early storm, Norway are coming into their own now. They're showing more intent and confidence on the ball, as they do well to attack and win a corner down the right, but Spain easily deal with the threat from the resulting set piece.
11'
Looking to use their pace up top, Norway threaten via a long ball over the top for King. The striker gives chase and nearly has the beating of Martinez, who does just enough to poke the ball back to his keeper. That's how the visitors are going to have to attack Spain tonight.
7'
One-way traffic in these opening exchanges, as Norway have been unable to string a few passes together. Morata wins the ball deep down the left and cuts into the area up against the byline, but his pull-back for Rodrigo is smartly cut out by Ajer and cleared behind.
3'
Early possession figures are being dominated by Spain, who have set up camp in the attacking half, though it's all very ponderous from them thus far as Norway have quickly settled into a stingy defensive shape.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Spain in red as they get the match underway at Mestalla, with Norway in white!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Euro 2020 qualifying match as Spain welcome Norway to Mestalla!
Spain have been mainstays at both the Euro and World Cup, and they begin what figures to be another straightforward qualifying campaign tonight as their quest to win the tournament for a third time in the last four editions officially gets underway.
Following a bitter end to last summer’s World Cup, Luis Enrique took the helm and enjoyed a successful start to his tenure, but they have since hit a rough patch with two defeats in their last three matches, as they aim to get back on track tonight.
Norway last qualified for a major tournament in 2000, but hopes are high in their camp as they begin the qualifying process for Euro 2020, after so narrowly missing out on 2016’s tournament in France.
An exciting crop of young talent has made the step up to join an already established core, as Lars Lagerback has a very strong squad at his disposal, as evidenced by their impressive display in the Nations League, topping their group to earn promotion to League B.
SPAIN (4-3-3): David De Gea; Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos, Inigo Martinez, Jordi Alba; Dani Parejo, Sergio Busquets, Dani Ceballos; Rodrigo, Marco Asensio, Alvaro Morata.
SUBS: Mario Hermoso, Saul Niguez, Sergi Gomez, Sergio Canales, Jose Gaya, Sergi Roberto, Jaime Mata, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Pau Lopez, Rodrigo, Iker Munian, Juan Bernat.
NORWAY (4-4-2): Rune Jarstein; Omar Elabdellaoui, Havard Nordtveit, Kristoffer Ajer, Haitam Aleesami; Martin Odegaard, Markus Henriksen, Ole Selnaes, Stefan Johansen; Joshua King, Tarik Elyounoussi.
SUBS: Martin Linnes, Alexander Sorloth, Jonas Svensson, Ola Kamara, Mats Moller Darhli, Sten Grytebust, Iver Fossum, Even Hovland, Sigurd Rosted, Bjorn Johnsen, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Per Kristian Bratveit.
Needing a better link between midfield and attack, Norway could turn to Southampton's Mohamed Elyounoussi in the second half, though right now they have their hands full with trying to keep Spain out. The hosts are looking like a well-oiled machine on the front foot, with Luis Enrique unlikely to make any changes for the time being.
Spain visit Malta next on Tuesday, while Norway return home to host Sweden. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
