One more yellow card for good measure, as Velasco picks up a booking in the final seconds for a completely unnecessary foul on Sanchez.
90' +4
Time is winding down on Ecuador, and frustration has undoubtedly set in. They're hardly managing to get a touch on the ball here, as Chile do a masterful job of playing keep-away.
90' +2
G. Jara enters the game and replaces A. Vidal.
After receiving a bit of treatment, Vidal jogs off to a thunderous applause from the Chile supporters as he's replaced by Jara.
90'
There will be a minimum of six minutes added on at the end of this first half.
FULL-TIME: ECUADOR 1-2 CHILE.
89'
G. Achilier goes off after a red card!
ECUADOR ARE DOWN TO 10 MEN! Well that certainly puts a dents in their comeback hopes! Achilier dangerously catches Vidal with an elbow to the face right at the halfway line, and the referee doesn't hesitate in producing a straigh red card! For a second match in a row, Ecuador have a man sent off!
88'
Time is winding down and it's become awfully congested, much to Chile's liking. They're doing well to contain things in midfield, with Ecuador unable to mount much of a push.
86'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
P. Hernández enters the game and replaces E. Vargas.
Hernandez comes on to provide some stability for Chile in midfield, taking the place of Vargas. It's very much a defensive change from Chile as they look to hold this lead.
Velasco has speed to burn down the right flank as he does well to burst into space, before Vidal cynically slides in to take him to ground. It's a professional foul from the Barcelona midfielder, who sees a yellow for his troubles.
82'
A. Preciado enters the game and replaces Á. Mena.
M. Isla gets yellow.
A final change of the night for Ecuador sees Preciado, who started the match against Uruguay, take the place of Mena.
A seventh yellow card of this match is shown to Isla, who catches Ramirez with a foul high up the pitch.
81'
C. Gruezo gets yellow.
Gruezo was brought on to make an impact in attack, but his presence is felt at the other end here as he catches Sanchez with a foul and picks up a yellow card.
80'
Having lost their first match 4-0 to Uruguay, Ecuador's hopes would be left hanging by a thread should they lose again tonight. They have to throw caution to the wind and really get after it here. These final 10 minutes will be a good test of their character.

Description
78'
R. Arboleda gets yellow.
Arboleda trips up Vargas with a bit of a late challenge near the halfway line, which will earn the Ecuador centre-back a yellow card.
76'
Ecuador are asking the questions here, but they're struggling to pick out a good final ball. Their end product is lacking, with their moves really fizzling out once they get into that final third.
72'
Into the final 20 minutes now and the injury stoppage plus the two substitutions have drastically slowed down the tempo once again. It's being played at a walking pace right now.
70'
P. Díaz enters the game and replaces J. Fuenzalida.
And Chile take the opportunity to go to the bench for a first time tonight as well, with Fuenzalida replaced by Diaz, a defender who plays his club football with Al-Ahli.
69'
C. Garcés enters the game and replaces Romario Ibarra.
Garces comes on for just his second international appearance at the age of 29, replacing Ibarra with Ecuador's second change.
62'
Possession is being held by Ecuador, as again the match begins to swing slowly in their favour. Chile invited La Tricolor back into this match in the first half, and they have to be careful not to do the same again here in the second.
60'
A. Valencia enters the game and replaces J. Méndez.
Ecuador go to the bench for the first time tonight and it's the Manchester United man Valencia who comes on to replace Mendez.
58'
There still isn't the greatest tempo to this match, which really has yet to develop much rhythm. Ecuador did well to respond to falling behind in the first half, and they're going to need to dig deep again here. There's been no real response from them yet.
56'
Ecuador have it all to do again now, as they've conceded inside the first seven minutes of a half for the third time in two games in this tournament. These slow starts to halves boil down to intensity and desire, and they can't be tolerated by Gomez.
52'
J. Beausejour gets yellow.
Beausejour horribly mistimes a challenge high up the pitch on Mena, as he becomes the second Chile player to be booked on the night.
51'
A. Sánchez has scored a goal for Chile! Assist by C. Aránguiz.
Aranguiz did well to pick Sanchez out there, as he's credited with the assist.
CHILE RESTORE THEIR LEAD! Sanchez takes up a pocket of space in the penalty area where he's picked out by Aranguiz, before bending a well-placed finish into the far corner, just beyond the reach of Dominguez! From nothing, Chile are ahead yet again!
49'
What's with the hesitation?! Vargas is picked out on the end of a delicious throughball from Sanchez, as he finds himself behind the defence with a clear sight of goal, but opts not to shoot and for some reason slows down to a standstill, allowing Arboleda to slide in from behind and knock the ball away from harm!
46'
Ecuador get the second half underway!
45' +6
HALF-TIME: ECUADOR 1-1 CHILE.
45' +2
That review has really zapped the pace from this match. VAR has proven itself a necessary entity, but there has to be a change to the amount of time it takes to reach a decision. Breaking for close to five minutes in the middle of a half really hurts the flow and tempo.
45'
As a result of that very lengthy delay, there will be a minimum of six minutes of stoppage time added on at the end of this first half.
44'
G. Arias gets yellow.
Following a very lengthy review - one of the longest so far at this tournament - the referee changes his mind! It's a free-kick for Ecuador and a yellow for Arias, who is lucky not to be off right now. That's his second foul of the night as the last defender!
36'
Into the final 10 minutes of the first half and there's not much tempo to speak of. Chile have hardly set foot in the attacking half over the last 20 minutes, and while Ecuador are looking a lot more comfortable in possession, there's nothing urgent about their play either.
34'
Á. Mena gets yellow.
A second booking of the night is shown to an Ecuador player as Mena clips the heels of Beausejour near the halfway line, picking up a yellow card int he process.
32'
Chile have really let this game slip from their grasp, and they only have themselves to blame. Their intensity dropped off significantly following Fuenzalida's goal, and Ecuador have fully taken advantage, revitalising their Copa America campaign.
30'
More from Ecuador as they win a free-kick in an attacking position, with Isla fouling Valencia. La Tricolor have momentum firmly on their side as they look for a second, but they don't get it here as Velasco lashes his free-kick straight into the wall.
26'
Penalty goal scored by E. Valencia for Ecuador!
PARITY RESTORED IN SALVADOR! Valencia makes no mistake from the spot, smashing his penalty straight down the middle and into the roof of the net to level things up 1-1! Game on!
23'
Confidence is definitely building in this Ecuador side as they knock the ball around with more pace, setting up camp just inside the attacking half. They're still lacking that cutting edge, though, as they seem almost unwilling to push the ball into the final third.
21'
Rather surprisingly, Chile have really taken their foot off the gas since taking the lead. They were in complete control early on, but they're almost letting Ecuador off the hook a bit here as they are allowing them time and possession to grow into the match.
17'
Play comes to a halt again as Ibarra goes down and rolls on the ground in pain after taking an inadvertant arm to the face from Pulgar. He spends a good minute on the ground being looked at by the referee, and players from both sides, but the training staff aren't called onto the pitch. It doesn't look very bad at all.
15'
Ecuador are enjoying a bit of a better spell as they appear to be getting their footing in the match. They've been bereft of ideas when they get the bal forward, but are managing to keep possession for longer periods now.
13'
That's a dreadful delivery. It will go down as a shot, actually, as Mena whips in a tame free-kick, with his cross-cum-shot easily collected by Arias at the near post.
12'
In complete control of this match right now are Chile, with Ecuador coming across rather shell-shocked. They've endured a brutal start to this tournament, but there's no time like the present to turn it around and their first real counter of the match sees them win a free-kick in a dangerous area on the left flank.
8'
J. Fuenzalida has scored a goal for Chile!
CHILE SNATCH AN EARLY LEAD! Ecuador fall behind 1-0 early on, as they did against Uruguay, as they fail to deal with a corner before Fuenzalida latches onto the loose ball and drives a delightful finish in off the far post from 12 yards!
7'
Chile have taken the initiative, at least in the early going, passing the ball around with intent as they look to test the Ecuador back line. A tidy bit of interplay sees them break into the penalty area for the first time, before a deflected shot wins them the game's first corner.
3'
J. Méndez gets yellow.
Possession remains largely with Chile early on. Mendez presses to try and win it back following a bit of a heavy touch from Aranguiz, but winds up crashing through the back of the Chile midfielder rather agressively as he picks up an early booking.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Chile in their red tops and white shorts as they get the match underway, with Ecuador in yellow and blue.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Copa America match as Chile clash with Ecuador at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador!
Chile enjoyed a near-flawless start to their campaign in a 4-0 win over Japan, getting their title defence off on the right foot as they look to become the first nation to win the competition on three successive occasions, having won the two previous editions in 2015 and 2016.
La Roja fell short in their attempts to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, but there’s something about this competition that seems to bring out the best of them. Victory tonight would ensure Reinaldo Rueda’s side passage into the quarter-finals.
Hernan Dario Gomez began his second stint as Ecuador boss in August 2018, but they are now without a win in their last five matches following an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Uruguay in their opening group match.
It has certainly been a tumultuous period for La Tricolor, who have fallen behind in Conmebol and are certainly not off to a good start as they look to end the longest active Copa America semi-final drought among South American nations.
ECUADOR (4-3-3): Alexander Dominguez; Pedro Velasco, Robert Arboleda, Gabriel Achilier, Cristian Ramirez; Sebastian Mendez, Jefferson Orejuela, Carlos Gruezo; Angel Mena, Romario Ibarra, Enner Valencia.
SUBS: Beder Caicedo, Antonio Valencia, Ayrton Preciado, Maximo Banguera, Renato Ibarra, Xavier Arreaga, Carlos Garces, Arturo Mina, Pedro Ortiz, Luis Chicaiza, Jefferson Intriago.
CHILE (4-3-3): Gabriel Arias; Mauricio Isla, Gary Medel, Guillermo Maripan, Jean Beausejour; Charles Aranguiz, Erick Pulgar, Arturo Vidal; Jose Pedro Fuenzalida, Alexis Sanchez, Eduardo Vargas.
SUBS: Esteban Pavez, Junior Fernandes, Oscar Opazo, Diego Valdes, Paulo Diaz, Angelo Sagal, Pablo Hernandez, Igor Lichnovsky, Gonzalo Jara, Brayan Cortes, Yerko Urra.
It's worth noting as well that Chile are lucky to still have a full compliment of players on the pitch, with goalkeeper Gabriel Arias somehow avoiding being sent off despite conceding a penalty and fouling Romario Ibarra as the last man back.
Up next for Chile is a delectable clash with Uruguay, while Ecuador will aim to keep their slip hopes of qualification alive when they meet Japan. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
