Zaha gets the game underway for Palace!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Crystal Palace and Manchester City at Selhurst Park!
City come into this game sitting eight points behind league leaders Liverpool and are looking to close the gap to five with a win today. They had won five games on the bounce in all competitions but lost 2-0 to Wolves in their last match before the international break. They face a Palace side today who find themselves sixth in the Premier League and have won four of their last six games in the league (D1 L1), including their last two outings.
CRYSTAL PALACE STARTING XI (4-1-4-1): Wayne Hennessey; Joel Ward, Gary Cahill, James Tomkins, Patrick van Aanholt; Luka Milivojevic; Wilfried Zaha, Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, Jeffrey Schlupp; Jordan Ayew.
CRYSTAL PALACE SUBS: Christian Benteke, Scott Dann, Andros Townsend, James McCarthy, Jairo Riedewald, Stephen Henderson, Max Meyer.
MANCHESTER CITY STARTING XI (3-1-4-2): Ederson; Joao Cancelo, Fernandinho, Benjamin Mendy; Rodrigo; Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva; Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling.
MANCHESTER CITY SUBS: Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Eric Garcia, Angelino, Claudio Bravo, Sergio Aguero, John Stones.
The teams are out on the field now, with kick-off just moments away.
Guardiola will be very pleased with his side's performance so far and will be expecting them to continue dominating the game after the break. They've had some great opportunities on goal and if they continue to play the same way in the second half, they look like they'll be adding to their goal tally. As for Palace, it looked too easy for City to get in behind them for the goal, so Hodgson will want them to improve at the back but also to take their opportunities when they do get the chance to go forward.
That's all for today, goodbye!
So, City close the gap to five points at the top of the table, with Liverpool not playing until tomorrow. Guardiola will be happy his side have bounced back after the loss in their last game though and their attention now turns to their Champions League tie against Atalanta in midweek. Palace remain in sixth but will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they travel to Arsenal next weekend.
