S. Rudy enters the game and replaces L. Waldschmidt.
Three minutes added on here.
As expected, Waldschmidt goes almost straight back off again after taking that big whack from Gutor. Rudy comes on for the final moments.
89'
Waldschmidt is back up after a minute and a half of treatment. He looks dazed but not permanently damaged, though Germany will probably finish the match with him off the pitch to be on the safe side.
86'
This hasn't been a wonderful performance by Germany by any stretch of the imagination. They've produced a few moments of quality that were simply beyond what Belarus could deal with.
84'
D. Bessmertny enters the game and replaces P. Nekhaychik.
L. Waldschmidt enters the game and replaces S. Gnabry.
And Belarus make their final change, Bessmertny replacing Nekhajchik.
A second German sub, as Waldschmidt comes on in place of Gnabry.
83'
T. Kroos has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
4-0! Brilliant from Kroos! It's an almost lazy attack from Germany with Belarus apparently having given up the ghost. After a cross from Brandt on the left, Gundogan plays a short pass to Kroos who spins around his marker and fires into the bottom-right corner.
The goal is all about Kroos' turn and finish, but Gundogan gets the assist for a simple pass.
82'
Kimmich almost sells Neuer short with a blind backpass as Lisakovich is lurking, but the goalkeeper just reacts in time to get it away.
81'
Gundogan tees up Gnabry in the area after another low ball in from Klostermann, but the ball won't settle in time for him to get a shot in and it's hacked away from his feet.
80'
Brandt picks up the ball on the right and looks to cut inside, but immediately runs into trouble and switches the blay to Schlulz instead. He's tackled and Belarus launch a good counter, Stasevich eventually getting in behind down the right but being unable to find a team-mate with his attempted pull-back.
78'
M. Skavysh enters the game and replaces Y. Kovalev.
Second change of the night for Belarus, as Kovalev goes off for Skavysh.
Minute
Description
76'
Great save! Stasevich steps up and hits the penalty toward the bottom-left corner, but Neuer gets down to tip it around the post.
75'
Penalty saved by M. Neuer!
R. Koch gets yellow.
Koch is booked for hauling down Nekhajchik for the penalty.
Penalty Save Manuel Neuer
Penalty Miss Igor Stasevich
72'
Lisakovich picks up the ball at the edge of the area and no defender can get a foot in as he runs from right to left and then checks back the other way, but he shoots straight at Neuer.
68'
J. Brandt enters the game and replaces T. Werner.
V. Lisakovich enters the game and replaces D. Laptev.
First change for Belarus, as Lisakovich replaces Laptev.
A change for Germany too, as Brandt replaces Werner.
67'
All gone a bit tepid again now. Some fairly unthreatening possession from Germany is ended by a simple pass going astray and out for a throw-in, and not for the first time. Nekhajchik then shoots from 35 yards out on the left, and hits it about 35 yards over the bar.
65'
Klostermann runs in behind and heads down a chipped pass over the line of attack, but it's straight to Naumov.
63'
The free-kick is a decent one towards the six-yard line, but there's a foul on a Germany defender somewhere in the crowd.
61'
Schulz' cross from the left is wayward and easily cleared away. He hasn't had an especially effective night.
60'
Belarus are looking a bit more lively when they get the ball now - they might as well have a go, after all - but with Werner and Gnabry lurking on the shoulder of the last man, you wouldn't bet against more Germany goals from here.
58'
Kovalev is down in some pain after a coming-together with Koch on the Belarus right, but he looks as though he'll be able to carry on. Belarus get a throw-in, which is fired in long by Matveychik and cleared away by Klostermann.
55'
T. Kroos has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by M. Ginter.
GOAL! 3-0 Germany, Kroos gets in on the act! After another air shot from Werner, Kimmich wins the ball back at the edge of the area. It's played around a bit before Ginter finds Kroos at the corner of the D, and he bends a first-time right-footed shot inside the right post. The keeper doesn't bother to dive, it was a sweet strike.
Ginter gets an assist for a simple pass back to Kroos.
54'
Gnabry clips a pass in behind for Werner, but he can't connect with an attempted flicked finish as he isn't the natural finisher that Ginter apparently is. He was about six yards offside, anyway.
53'
Kovalev gets into some space down the right, and he drives into it before laying the ball off for Matveyckik on the overlap. His cross is blocked and Germany break with Werner eventually winning a corner on the left.
51'
This game appears to be dead and buried as a contest now, but with Northern Ireland still holding the Netherlands in Belfast, qualification isn't secured just yet.
49'
L. Goretzka has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by T. Kroos.
GOAL! Germany double their lead, Goretzka with a good finish! Germany win a corner on the right and Kroos fires it hard toward the edge of the area. Ginter dummies it for Goretzka, who side-foots it with his right, first-time into the bottom-left corner.
Kroos gets the assist for a clever pulled-back corner.
47'
A ball breaks for Ginter at the edge of the area, sitting up and begging to be hit goalwards, but he lifts it over the line of defence for Gundogan instead. He gets there ahead of Gutor and looks to chip it towards the back post with the keeper off his line, but nobody can get on the end of it.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: GERMANY 1-0 BELARUS
45'
Belarus looked to put an attack together in the Belarus half, but again Germany got the ball back and countered with a quick ball up to the even quicker Werner. He eventually teed up Gundogan, who broke into the area and lashed a left-footed shot into the side-netting.
We're back underway for the second half, no changes at the break from either manager.
43'
It almost semeed as if those couple of chances for Belarus stung Germany into life. Either way, the home side are very lucky they've got a keeper of Neuer's calibre - the two saves he made were both excellent.
41'
M. Ginter has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by S. Gnabry.
GOAL! 1-0 Germany, Ginter scores! Gnabry gets the ball on the right, dances around Dragun and fires in a low cross which the defender turns home brilliantly with a spinning flick.
Gnabry gets the assist for a good bit of wing play down the right, beating his man and teeing up Ginter for an excellent finish.
40'
Stasevich looks to cross from the left side of the penalty area, but his drilled effort is immediately blocked. Dragun then tries his luck, but his shot is blocked too.
39'
Gnabry finds Werner with a knocked-down header, but Werner's own header goes wide to the right of goal when he probably should have done better. The flag likely would have gone up anyway.
38'
Kroos gets a free-kick to the left of centre, some 20-25 yards out. He hits it well enough towards the top-left corner, but it's easy for Gutor to read and catch.
36'
On one hand, Germany look like they know they probably only have to score one goal against a - with all due respect - not very good team to qualify. On the other, they haven't really come close to scoring that one goal in the first 35 minutes of the game.
34'
In a refreshing turn of events, Ginter plays the ball to Klostermann on the right, he crosses and it's put behind for a corner. Eventually, after Germany play the ball all the way around the box to the other corner, a ball is delivered towards Kroos, whose first-time shot bounces straight at Gutor.
32'
Goretzka finds Klostermann at the edge of the area with time to cross, but he gets his delivery wrong. He fired it toward the far post in the hope somebody was running onto it, but it was a long way beyond the onrushing Gnabry.
31'
The German brass section, who are orders of magnitude better than the England band, seem to be enjoying themselves here at Borussia-Park. Borussia Monchengladbach are four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga right now, so the locals have reason to be in a good mood.
30'
Werner wins a corner on the right, which Kroos takes. It's headed away from the edge of the six-yard box by Maevski, but there's a Belarus free-kick anyway for a foul by Koch.
29'
Schulz delivers a deep cross from the left, which Goretzka heads down at the far side of the area towards Gnabry. He turns it goalwards, but his half-volley is blocked.
28'
Belarus launch a rare attack through Nekhajchik, but it breaks down at the edge of the area and Germany break. Gnabry gets the ball on the halfway line and looks to play in Werner down the right, but he scuffs his pass straight to the backtracking Naumov.
26'
All a bit sloppy now. Kroos lifts a ball into the area towards nobody obvious, but the defending is so sluggish that Gnabry has time to see what's going in and almost steal in for a header. Klostermann shoots over.
25'
Gnabry gets his first sight of goal, breaking in behind down the right before lashing a low right-footed shot into the side-netting.
24'
Klostermann bends in a good deep cross from the right to Werner, in space at the far side of the penalty area. He hits it first time and it's blocked by Matveychik and behind for a corner. Werner appeals for handball, but nothing is give.
22'
Belarus only have four points to their name so far in the group, and all of them came against Estonia. They've probably completed about four passes in this game so far.
20'
Martynovich pulls a penalty-box Cruyff turn out of nowhere to bamboozle Werner, but his clearance upfield gives the ball straight back to Germany. Kroos then rockets one into the top-left corner from the edge of the area, until the ball rolls away and everybody realises it was actually into the side-netting.
19'
Big 'just mucking about' energy from Germany here, despite the score being goalless. Klostermann heads a ball over the top down to Werner at the right corner of the area, and he hits it first time for no reason other than he feels like it. High and wide.
18'
Goretzka looks to chip a pass over the top to Gnabry, but it's cleared away from him at the edge of the six-yard box. Kroos then shoots low from the edge of the area toward the bottom-right corner, but it's a fairly simple save for Gutor.
16'
Klostermann shoots from 25 yards out after a corner is cleared, but first it just over the bar.
14'
We haven't really seen anything of Gnabry tonight. He's been shunted up front after his brilliant recent scoring record for Germany, but he hasn't had so much of a sniff of a chance yet. Klostermann is having a nice time, though.
12'
Goretzka shows a neat bit of footwork on the right, but can only win a throw-in with the Belarus defence doubling up on him. Werner heads Klostermann's cross from the right up into the air for an easy catch for Gutor, before Neuer charges out to the halfway line to mop up the Belarus keeper's kick downfield.
11'
Kimmich gets a chance to cut in from the left and shoot from just outside the area following a quickly-taken short corner, but he hoiks it well over the crossbar.
10'
A scare for Germany! Laptev gets in behind and should probably score, but he seems to panic goes wide before shooting straight at Neuer - but the flag was up anyway.
9'
Germany have had all of the ball so far and have almost exclusively looked to use the right flank, where Klostermann is playing like a winger and Ginter is pushing high and wide.
8'
Gundogan is fouled by Maevski in the centre-circle. Germany attempt to string a few passes together, but the final ball towards Werner is again overhit and goes straight through to the keeper.
7'
Klostermann does really well down the right, getting past his man and keeping the ball in at the byline before pulling it back to Gundogan at the edge of the area, but he can't get a clean connection on his first-time effort and it's blocked at the edge of the six-yard box.
5'
Polyakov does well to shield the ball out for a goal kick with Klostermann looking to latch onto a slightly overhit through ball down the right channel.
3'
Neuer gives Klostermann a nasty chipped pass to control under pressure in the right-back spot, but he does well enough and Germany play their way out. Ginter makes a good run forward out of defence and delivers a cross from wide on the right, but an unmarked Goretzka gets his header all wrong and it flies over.
2'
Germany get an early corner on the right, which Kroos takes. It's towards Werner at the near post, but he can't get a telling touch on the ball and it's cleared away for a throw-in.
1'
We're off! Germany get us underway. Looking like a flat 4-4-2 out of possession for the away side.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Euro 2020 qualifying match, as Joachim Low’s Germany look to secure qualification from Group C against Mikhail Markhel’s Belarus on home soil in Monchengladbach.
Tied on points with the Netherlands but behind them due to their head-to-head results, Germany can secure qualification tonight by bettering Northern Ireland’s result as they face the Dutch in Belfast tonight. Belarus are just hoping to stay ahead of Estonia and avoid last place, and they hold a three-point lead over them going into tonight’s games.
GERMANY (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; Nico Schulz, Robin Koch, Matthias Ginter, Lukas Klostermann; Toni Kroos, Joshua Kimmich, Ilkay Gundogan; Timo Werner, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka.
SUBS: Sebastian Rudy, Julian Brandt, Jonas Hector, Jonathan Tah, Suat Serdar, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Gian-Luca Waldschmidt, Nadiem Amiri, Niklas Stark, Bernd Leno.
BELARUS (4-1-4-1): Aleksandr Gutor; Denis Polyakov, Nikita Naumov, Aleksandr Martynovich, Sergey Matveychik; Ivan Maevski; Igor Stasevich, Pavel Nekhajchik, Stanislav Dragun, Yuri Kovalev; Denis Laptev.
SUBS: Nikolai Zolotov, Aleksandr Pavlovets, Oleg Veretilo, Maksim Skavysh, Aleksandr Sachivko, Evgeni Yablonski, Sergey Chernik, Sergey Kislyak, Dmitry Bessmertny, Anton Chichkan, Vladislav Klimovich, Vitali Lisakovich.
The players are coming out of the tunnel and we’re almost ready to go. National anthems up first.
You'd have to imagine the attack v defence theme of this game is going to continue in the second half, but Germany need more of a cutting edge if they're going to make it safe. Belarus have shown they can threaten on the break, but they've done a lot of chasing in the opening 45 minutes and will surely tire eventually.
In the end, it's a perfect night for Germany. With the Netherlands and Northern Ireland drawing 0-0 in the other match tonight, Low's side both qualify for Euro 2020 and leapfrog the Dutch onto the top of Group C in the process. Germany play Northern Ireland on Tuesday, while Belarus have got a friendly with Montenegro to look forward to with this being their final match of the group.
That's it from Borussia-Park tonight. Hope you've enjoyed following along. If you happened to be supporting Germany, you probably did!
