We're underway at Stamford Bridge.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have to bounce back after suffering an agonising defeat at the hands of Newcastle United last time out. The Blues created chance after chance at St James' Park, but were denied the breakthrough. They paid the price when Isaac Hayden headed home in stoppage time to hand the Magpies the three points. Frank Lampard's men have not been able to pull away from the pack chasing them for the final Champions League spot. They're five points clear of Manchester United in fifth place, but will be desperate to extend their advantage with a win over the Gunners tonight.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions. Mikel Arteta's men are still striving to become a clinical enough in the final third. They have been held to draws against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United in their last two matches. Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners ahead last time out against the Blades, only to concede an equaliser to John Fleck seven minutes from time. Arteta will be seeking an improvement from his team with the potential of rising to eighth in the table with a win over Chelsea today.

Chelsea were struggling to find a clinical edge in the final third before Mustafi's error. The German played into the hands of the home side and now the Blues have control of the match. Frank Lampard will be determined for his side to display their killer instinct to put the game beyond doubt as soon as possible.
Chelsea are next in action on Saturday against Hull City on the road in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Arsenal are also away from home, playing Bournemouth on Sunday in the same stage of the competition.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
