The visitors have caused Bayern more problems in the second half, but have struggled with their final ball on more than one occasion. Here, however, Zuber kept his cool and played a well-weighted pass for Dabbur to attack. Is there time for a comeback?

GOAL! Lewandowski grabs his second! The Polish striker got across his man at the front post to nod Kimmich’s in-swinging corner from the left beyond Pentke from close range. 4-1.
Kimmich’s set-piece was delivered with such pace that all Lewandowski needed to do was make a connection on the ball to turn it beyond the Hoffenheim goalkeeper. A well-worked corner routine.

Boateng clips Baumgartner and the away win a free-kick in their own half.

Lucas Ribeiro enters the game and replaces F. Grillitsch.
C. Baumgartner enters the game and replaces J. Bruun Larsen.

41'
Coutinho tries his luck from distance after receiving the ball from Tolisso and Pentke is equal to the effort.
39'
C. Tolisso gets yellow.
Tolisso is the latest player to go into the book after cynically bringing down Bruun Larsen who looked to launch a quick counter.
36'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by T. Müller.
GOAL! Lewandowski adds another for Bayern! In a deep position, Alaba sends a searching ball in behind the away side’s defence for Muller to attack. The German nods the pass high into the air and, after Pentke came out but failed to claim it, Lewandowski is free to head into an empty net from the middle of the box. 3-1.
Flick’s team have now had success on multiple occasion with deep throughballs from Alaba which are aimed towards Muller. Once again, the weight of pass was inch-perfect and, after the German attacker’s movement occupied Pentke, Lewandowski peeled off into space to pounce on the rebound.
35'
Hoffenheim win a corner to the left off Tolisso which Rudy takes, but the midfielder’s delivery into the area doesn’t beat the first man and Bayern hook it to safety.
33'
Kramaric looked to have been played in behind the hosts’ defence by Bebou, but the referee’s assistant had his flag up for offside and Bayern are awarded a free-kick on the edge of their own penalty area.
31'
H. Nordtveit gets yellow.
Nordtveit is the first player to receive a yellow card after lunging in late on Tolisso in the centre of the field. He can have no complaints with that decision.

26'
Muller catches Nordtveit and the away side are awarded a free-kick in their own half.
22'
Bebou is a little too eager in looking to reclaim possession and gives away a foul for a late tackle on Davies inside the Bayern half.
20'
T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by D. Alaba.
That’s a sublime pass from Alaba that was delivered with perfect execution. Muller was alert to get the right side of Kaderabek with the ball just needing the slightest of touches to beat Pentke.
GOAL! The hosts take the lead! Alaba receives the ball just inside the away team’s half and spots the run of Muller ahead of him. The Austrian whips in an incredibly inviting cross for the German to nod past Pentke from the centre of the box. 2-1.
16'
Davies slides the ball in behind the visitors’ defence for Muller. After latching onto the pass, the German slices his cross from the left out for a goal-kick.
14'
Kimmich is caught by Grillitsch and the home side win a free-kick inside Hoffenheim’s half.
12'
B. Hübner is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOAL! Bayern are level just four minutes after falling behind! Davies makes a wonderful overlapping run down the left to get on the end of a well-weighted throughball before sliding a low cross into the box. Lewandowski looks to attack it, but Hubner gets there first and inadvertently puts the ball into his own net. 1-1.
10'
The home side look for an immediate response and win a corner to the left of Kaderabek. Hoffenheim are able to easily deal with the resulting set-piece.
8'
J. Boateng is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOAL! Hoffenheim take the lead! Bayern sloppily lost the ball deep inside their own half before Neuer was called into action to keep out Bruun Larsen’s long-range strike. Grillitsch was quickest to react and found Bebou in space, who saw his right-footed effort from the right side of the box deflect off Boateng and into the top left corner. 1-0.

Hello and welcome to this live text commentary on Bayern Munich's DFB-Pokal last-16 clash with Hoffenheim at Allianz Arena.
Bayern booked their place in the third round after beating VfL Bochum 2-1 last time out in the cup. Hoffenheim, meanwhile, secured this clash with the reigning Bundesliga champions following their second-round victory over MSV Duisburg in their last DFB-Pokal outing.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Benjamin Pavard, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Corentin Tolisso; Thomas Muller, Philippe Coutinho, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski.
HOFFENHEIM (3-4-3): Philipp Pentke; Havard Nordtveit, Kevin Akpoguma, Benjamin Hubner; Pavel Kaderabek, Sebastian Rudy, Florian Grillitsch, Steven Zuber; Ihlas Bebou, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Andrej Kramaric.
BAYERN MUNICH SUBS: Sven Ulreich, Lucas Hernandez, Alvaro Odriozola, Michael Cuisance, Thiago, Leon Goretzka, Oliver Batista Meier, Leon Dajaku, Joshua Zirkzee.
HOFFENHEIM SUBS: Michael Esser, Ermin Bicakcic, Stefan Posch, Lucas Ribeiro, Christoph Baumgartner, Diadie Samassekou, Robert Skov, Maximilian Beier, Munas Dabbur
The hosts, who won this tournament last season, have lost only three of their last 12 matches in all competitions. Hans-Dieter Flick’s team have scored five goals in the first two rounds but are yet to keep a clean sheet in the DFB-Pokal. Hoffenheim, meanwhile, have secured victories in seven of their previous 12 games and, like Bayern, have scored five goals thus far in the cup. Alfred Schreuder will be hoping for a repeat of the Bundesliga fixture at Allianz Arena between these two sides where the visitors won 2-1 back in October.
The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at Allianz Arena.
The home side will be pleased their first-half performance and will look to continue in much the same fashion after the break. Hoffenheim have struggled to deal with Muller’s movement in the final third and the German will be central if Bayern are to further their advantage in the second half. Schreuder’s team, meanwhile, will drastically need to improve if they are to rescue any hope of progressing to the next round of the DFB-Pokal. Bebou looks the most likely to make something happen but, aside from the goal, the hosts have dealt with him well up until this point.
Bayern will find out their quarter-final opponents for the DFB-Pokal on Sunday, the same day that they host RB Leipzig in a table-topping Bundesliga clash. Hoffenheim, meanwhile, travel to Freiburg in their next league match as they look to bounce back.
That brings an end to our coverage of the DFB-Pokal last-16 clash between Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim at Allianz Arena. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
