CRYSTAL PALACE STARTING XI (4-3-3): Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Scott Dann, Gary Cahill, Patrick van Aanholt; Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, James McCarthy; Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha.
CRYSTAL PALACE SUBS: Wayne Hennessey, Martin Kelly, Jairo Riedewald, Cenk Tosun, Max Meyer, Brandon Pierrick Keutcha, Andros Townsend.
NEWCASTLE UNITED STARTING XI (5-4-1): Martin Dubravka; Valentino Lazaro, Federico Fernandez, Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schar, Danny Rose; Miguel Almiron, Sean Longstaff, Nabil Bentaleb, Allan Saint-Maximin; Joelinton.
NEWCASTLE UNITED SUBS: Karl Darlow, Matt Ritchie, Matty Longstaff, DeAndre Yedlin, Isaac Hayden, Dwight Gayle, Florian Lejeune.
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Hodgson's side were on top for the majority of the first half and he'll be pleased that they managed to find the breakthrough when they did. He'll be hoping for more of the same after the break. As for Newcastle, Dubravka has kept them in this game but they need to improve in the final third if they want to get something out of this match.
That's all for today, goodbye!
That win ends a run of eight games without a win for Palace in all competitions and sees them leapfrog Newcastle in the table into 13th. Next up for them is a trip to face Brighton and Hove Albion. Newcastle face Burnley next time out and Bruce will be hoping they can get back to winning ways in that one.
