We're underway at the Amex Stadium.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton enter the contest just four points clear of the relegation zone. The Seagulls have won just one of their last 12 matches in the Premier League, including a winless run of seven games. Graham Potter's men have drawn their last three matches on the bounce, but their inability to produce victories has left them sitting perilously close to the relegation zone. A win is a must for Brighton given a tough run of fixtures on the horizon.
BRIGHTON (4-2-3-1): Mat Ryan; Martin Montoya, Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster, Dan Burn; Davy Propper, Yves Bissouma; Leandro Trossard, Aaron Mooy, Solly March; Neal Maupay.
BRIGHTON SUBS: Dale Stephens, Pascal Gross, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Glenn Murray, Ezequiel Schelotto, David Button, Steven Alzate.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-3-3): Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Scott Dann, Gary Cahill, Patrick van Aanholt; Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, James McCarthy; Jordan Ayew, Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha.
CRYSTAL PALACE SUBS: Luka Milivojevic, Max Meyer, Andros Townsend, Wayne Hennessey, Cenk Tosun, Martin Kelly, Jairo Riedewald.
Palace ended a run of three-straight defeats with a 1-0 victory over Newcastle last time out. The Eagles are sitting comfortably nine points clear of the drop zone, but still need to put further wins on the board to secure their Premier League status. Roy Hodgson's side have failed to produce a victory on the road since November and face a major challenge to change that record on a ground where they've not won in the top-flight in their last in four attempts.
Both Brighton and Palace have lacked a cutting edge in the first half. They've created decent openings, but as so often has been the case with the two teams this term, they have not been clinical enough. One goal could be enough to secure a vital three points for either of these sides this afternoon.
Brighton are next in action in the Premier League next week on the road to Wolves, while Crystal Palace host Watford.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
