Atletico launch it forward looking for one last chance, but Kounde manages to get to the ball first, before Navas smashes a clearing volley.
89'
The fourth official indicates four minutes will be added for stoppages.
87'
F. Vázquez enters the game and replaces L. Ocampos.
N. Gudelj enters the game and replaces Joan Jordán.
Vazquez is sent on for Ocampos to provide some fresh legs going forward.
Gudelj replaces Jordan with three minutes to go, as Lopetegui looks to solidify the midfield.
86'
G. Kondogbia gets yellow.
Kondogbia is shown a yellow card for a flailing arm which catches Kounde in the face.
85'
Sevilla look happy to just keep possession with five minutes remaining, as they look to see out a crucial result; their third clean sheet in four matches should they manage to prevent Atleti from scoring.
83'
En-Nesyri receives a pass inside Atleti’s half, but without a team-mate anywhere near him, he’s forced to go it alone. He doesn’t get very far though, as three defenders converge, with Gimenez winning back possession.
79'
Marcos Llorente gets yellow.
Frustration gets to Llorente, who appeals a bit too strongly for a yellow card to be shown to Fernando after a seemingly unintentional handball. Instead, it’s the Atleti midfielder who is booked - another one of Simeone’s players who will miss the Betis tie.
77'
P. Gómez enters the game and replaces Suso.
Ex-Milan winger Suso is replaced with 13 minutes left by another former Serie A attacker, as Gomez is on in his place.
76'
Real Madrid and Barcelona are certainly happy with proceedings, as only four points will separate Atletico Madrid in first from the Blaugrana in third if things stay the same. With 10 matches remaining in the season, it’s bound to be one of the closest races in years!

Description
74'
G. Kondogbia enters the game and replaces Hermoso.
Atleti respond to the goal with a double substitution. The first switch sees Herrera replace Lemar.
The second change is not like-for-like as midfielder Kondogbia is on for Hermoso - who plays at centre-back.
73'
H. Herrera enters the game and replaces T. Lemar.
72'
Atletico are furious as they are appealing for a handball, as it appears as though Trippier’s cross hit the arm of Ocampos just before the goal was scored. The visitors are arguing that the play should be brought back to that moment, but after a quick word the referee disagrees. It remains 1-0 as the league leaders are in trouble!
70'
M. Acuña has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by Jesús Navas.
SEVILLA BREAK THE DEADLOCK! 1-0 TO THE VISITORS! Suso’s intelligent pass into the penalty area splits two Atleti defenders and allows Navas time and space to chip a cross to the far post on his way to the byline. Acuna steps up unmarked and manages to power his header past Oblak - giving the hosts the lead!
One wing-back helps another as Navas is credited with the assist on Acuna's goal.
65'
Suso tries to feed a clever pass through two of Atleti’s centre-backs for Ocampos, but a well-placed Felipe manages to hold off the run of the winger and watch it go behind for a goal-kick.
63'
Y. En-Nesyri enters the game and replaces L. de Jong.
Sevilla’s first change comes just after the hour, as En-Nesyri replaces De Jong.
62'
Hermoso does a good job shielding the ball out for a goal-kick under serious pressure from Kounde, who is unable to find away around the Atleti centre-back.
60'
Acuna puts a cross into the penalty area from his position high on the left wing, but De Jong is unable to bring the ball down comfortably, as Gimenez gets himself involved and whacks it away.
56'
M. Acuña gets yellow.
L. Suárez gets yellow.
Acuna fouls Suarez in midfield and is booked for the tackle.
It appears as though Suarez has gone into the referee’s book as well - perhaps for something he said after the Acuna tackle. It appears a harsh booking and one that means he’ll miss next week’s match against Real Betis.
54'
CLOSE! A cross from the left finds Rakitic at the far post virtually unmarked, but his rushed volley sails high over the crossbar.
52'
After Simeone’s substitution in the first half, he only has four remaining outfield players to call upon. Full-back Vrsaljko, as well as midfielders Herrera, Vitolo and Kondogbia, are all that’s available for Atleti. It’s a shame he doesn’t have the option of Joao Felix, who could certainly be used.
50'
The Atletico midfield are constantly outnumbered as they desperately attempt to keep possession in the middle of the park. Jordan and Fernando have been instrumental in harrying Saul and Koke; both of whom have had little impact on proceedings.
48'
Atleti are doing well to keep the ball early in the second half, though they’re forced to go back to Oblak before starting up again - inviting Sevilla to press high in the process.
46'
Atleti get the match restarted from the kick-off!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 0-0 ATLETICO MADRID.
45' +1
The fourth official indicates three minutes will be added for stoppages.
44'
A mistake at the back allows Suso to jump onto possession, but his pass fails to open up space for Ocampos, who can only send a shot into the back of an Atleti defender.
42'
Navas is allowed to get into the penalty area with relative ease after a lovely pass from Rakitic, but the wing-back is unable to squeeze his shot in-between Oblak and the near post.
40'
Jordan has a go at goal from just outside the penalty area, but Gimenez steps across to make a vital block to protect his goalkeeper.
36'
With less than 10 minutes left until half-time, Simeone will be more than happy with the clean sheet so far. Atleti haven’t conceded a goal in LaLiga since their 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, just under a month ago.
34'
Á. Correa enters the game and replaces Renan Lodi.
The switch looks to be an enforced one as Correa replaces Lodi.
32'
Lodi looks to be limping on the left side of the pitch, with the substitution probably coming to relieve the wing-back.
29'
Simeone appears to have instructed substitutes to warm up on the touchline as we approach the 30-minute mark. Clearly the Atletico coach is unhappy, which is no surprise given his side’s performance to start the match.
27'
The set-piece is taken to Kounde, who can’t manage to put his effort on-target from eight yards out.
26'
Navas hits the byline and floats a cross into the penalty area for Ocampos, but Trippier manages to put it behind for a corner.
24'
Llorente gets on the loose ball on the right wing before finding Koke on the edge of the penalty area. The captain opts to take the strike at the first time of asking with the inside of his foot - allowing for an easy save for Bounou.
21'
Oblak makes his impact felt again with another tremendous save, catching Ocampos’ low effort to the near post from outside the penalty area at the first time of asking. With Sevilla players in the vicinity, the goalkeeper managed to prevent a rebound, keeping it in his gloves tightly.
19'
Trippier launches the set-piece into Bounou’s penalty area, but Fernando gets to the loose ball first - heading it away effectively.
18'
Lemar is pushed over by Jordan during a duel for the ball, giving Atletico Madrid a free-kick deep in midfield which they intend to lump into the penalty area.
16'
Despite an exceptionally poor opening 15 minutes, Simeone can take heart knowing his side remain level and with all 11 men on the pitch. They’ve offered nothing in the way of attack, however, seeing less than 30 percent of the ball.
14'
Oblak’s influence on Atletico Madrid simply cannot be overstated. The goalkeeper has kept a clean sheet in half his 28 matches this season, saving two out of three penalties he’s faced as well.
12'
Felipe lunges into a challenge on Jordan with his boot raised, catching both the Sevilla midfielder. He’s extremely lucky to escape a second booking, which would have seen him off after just 12 minutes.
10'
Diego Carlos gets yellow.
The frenetic start continues as Diego Carlos is booked for a firm challenge on Suarez in midfield.
8'
Penalty saved by J. Oblak!
THAT'S TWO IN TWO! Oblak makes his second penalty stop in as many games, guessing the right way and keeping Ocampos' low driven shot out with a strong fist!
OCAMPOS IS DENIED! The score remains 0-0 as the winger steps up and sends his penalty low and to the right, only to see it blocked by the Atleti goalkeeper!
5'
Felipe gets yellow.
Felipe is shown an early yellow card for cutting across and deliberately stepping on the foot of Ocampos nowhere near the ball. The Sevilla winger looks to be in real pain after that collision.
3'
Navas gets forward down the right and chips a cross into De Jong, but the two fail to communicate as the return pass fails to reach the wing.
1'
Sevilla get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the LaLiga fixture between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid!
An exit from the Champions League at the round of 16 stage hasn’t fazed Sevilla, who have responded with two league wins and a draw in their last three fixtures, following their 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund early last month. Squarely in fourth place - seven points ahead of city rivals Real Betis in fifth and seven back of Barcelona in third - Julen Lopetegui will be looking to shake up the title race with a win at home today.
SEVILLA SUBS: Franco Vazquez, Sergi Gomez, Nemanja Gudelj, Oliver Torres, Javi Diaz, Aleix Vidal, Oscar Rodriguez, Karim Rekik, Youssef En-Nesyri, Alejandro Gomez, Tomas Vaclik, Munir El Haddadi.
SEVILLA XI (4-3-3): Yassine Bounou; Marcos Acuna, Diego Carlos, Jules Kounde, Jesus Navas; Ivan Rakitic, Fernando, Joan Jordan; Lucas Ocampos, Luuk De Jong, Suso.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, let’s take a look at how the two sides are lining up - starting with our hosts!
ATLETICO MADRID SUBS: Sime Vrsaljko, Angel Correa, Ivo Grbic, Vitolo, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Hector Herrera.
ATLETICO MADRID XI (5-4-1): Jan Oblak; Kieran Trippier, Felipe, Jose Gimenez, Mario Hermoso, Renan Lodi; Marcos Llorente, Koke, Thomas Lemar, Saul Niguez; Luis Suarez.
Atletico Madrid regained some form last time out with a win against Deportivo Alaves, after a rocky stretch which saw them drop points to Getafe and Real Madrid. A loss to Chelsea in the Champions League hasn’t helped Diego Simeone’s cause - though three points today would see them extend their lead at the top of the table to six points with nine matches to play.
Lopetegui will be disappointed his side didn’t make the breakthrough in the first half, though chances will continue to come should they be able to maintain the pressure. Atleti have been unable to deal with both offensive winger and wing-backs, with Navas and Acuna constantly posing a threat. Already a man down with a short bench, there isn’t much Simeone can do to alter the game aside from introduce Vitolo or Herrera - while Sevilla have a number of options to call upon including Gomez, Munir and Vazquez.
That concludes our commentary of the LaLiga fixture between Sevilla and Atletico Madrid! We hope you’ve enjoyed it!
Sevilla travel to face Celta Vigo in eight days time, while Atletico Madrid play Real Betis in a week.
